Horrid Henry's Daffy Daisy Guide To Emotional Dysregulation

*WARNING: The following post has content written by Gemini. By continuing to read the post, you waive Henry, Peter, Francesca Simon and Orion Publishing of any similarities to what we learnt about getting your own way from a 10 year old horrid boy who hates In The Night Garden.

1. Make Your Own Happy Bubble
Henry uses his rock music to block out the annoying daisies. When you feel upset or annoyed by things around you, you can go into your own mind. Think of your favorite song, a fun story, or a safe place. This builds a strong shield to keep the bad feelings out.

2. Take Control of Yourself
Henry could not leave the concert. He was stuck. But he took control of his own actions by singing his own songs. When you feel like everything is going wrong, focus on what you can control. You can control your breathing, your thoughts, and where you look.

3. Let the Big Energy Out
Feeling annoyed gives you a lot of trapped energy. Henry used his energy to rock out in his head. You can find safe ways to let your big energy out too. You can squeeze a soft toy, draw a picture, or take deep, slow breaths.

4. Distract Your Brain
Instead of looking at how much he hated the concert, Henry put all his focus on the Killer Boy Rats. If something makes you feel bad, try to look away and put your focus on a thing you love.

So you see, with these tips, life isn't fair after all, IS IT?!
He he he he...*vomits*.
