Curious Thoughts - A Wizard's Tears

Last night, I put on He Man to soothe me to sleep, and as I drifted off to the L.O.N, I saw a story I never want to forgive anyone for, set to music from the above video: Orko wandered places around a town on Earth, even an empty park, because He Man had treated him in a cruel manner. Eternia was such a cold-hearted and horrid place to him, and that's why he was alone. At last, he broke down into tears and began to cry, but luckily, Furaha was there to comfort him, and the two shared a hug that even brought Furaha to silent, yet happy tears.

Didn't some old Disney story say, "It's through our tears that we find another way?" I wanted to cry when I woke up first thing, because the song in the video above was so emotional. It made me think of how awful life was today, and how we all want to go back to when we were kids - some caregivers to protect us and keep us safe. But as I got older, I experienced mental health issues and negativity, and I resorted to slice of life moments between my characters because I wanted to go back to when I was a kid - minus all the stereotypical things that make the AgeRe genre.

But you must know this: when we cry due to the emotional weight we experience from growing up, we're actually smiling inside. We feel that secret smile from the moment we shed our first tears, and it's telling us we're finding joyful things inside the saddest moments of our lives. All the times I cried, I felt myself smiling inside - and that's a reminder that, in the future, anxiety, negativity and mental health issues will be caused by two words: perfectionism and publicity.

However, only last month I discovered that the P words don't matter to me anymore, because I don't need a job. All I need is the simple life I wanted - making handmade books is okay, but publishing?

Curious Thoughts - Vegeta

At the beginning of the very first Toonami TIE, The Intruder, Tom 1 was mentioning Vegeta from Dragon Ball Z before Sara screamed that an intruder had entered the hall. But, I'm curious about something: was Vegeta really friends with Tom 1? Because it all links to something potentially much more powerful. So powerful in fact that it would even bring the most feint-hearted Toonami fan into tears. Here goes:

When Tom 1 first arrived on US screens, Vegeta had been training him behind the scenes. The two had a mentor-student relationship that felt like that of a father and son, and as time passed and shows on Cartoon Network came and went, their bond strengthened and grew. The days grew into years, weeks and months, and with every second he spent with Vegeta, Tom 1, a weak little robot host, grew stronger and more powerful to face even the scariest content some of his shows had to represent.

However, the massive downhill point came when The Intruder aired. Vegeta prayed that Tom would survive this, but we knew what happened, don't we? It was an event that would change Vegeta's life forever and place a firm impact on his mental health. After watching Tom get consumed by The Intruder, he screamed as loud as his did in Dragon Ball Z and began crying mournfully.

For the rest of his years, he fell into a deep depression over the loss of his student. He couldn't eat or drink anything, he refused to partake in filming of future Dragon Ball episodes or films and worst of all, his Saiyan powers faded until it was just a spark. The Vegeta he used to be was gone forever, all thanks to the loss of his faithful student.

But when DBZ aired uncut in 2005, Vegeta couldn't take seeing Tom in his then-current form anymore. He flew into a rage and began throwing things around, overturning tables and attacking other characters that were attending every uncut screening, until, one day, he bit Goku's arm right off.

All this sent him to a mental asylum, where he was treated and experimented on multiple times before he emerged battered, bruised, bloody and with one arm missing. It was here that Toonami returned to TV screens in 2012, and years later, Intruder II premiered, and Vegeta knew it was his chance to help the Tom he despised show the Intruder who's boss.

He told the Intruder to listen to him very carefully, and said to him all the wise words he'd forgotten when he was consumed. Upon hearing those words, Tom 1 began crying, something he refused to do when he signed a contract for starring as the host of Toonami. And with that, after Intruder II had finished filming, he turned back into his normal self. Various news reports and tabloids said he'd disappeared for so long, leading to Vegeta's mental health spiral, but now, the two are reunited.

Remember: never be afraid to cry. Sometimes, it's through a robot host's tears that one depressed cartoon star manages to find one way when he is urgent to find another.

Curious Thoughts - Someone Save Simba!

Two pieces of bad news in the two days we're in 2026 already - first, the USA is going to kill all the owls in the nation, and then, the entire nation has invaded Venezuela! I can't let this happen to some of my animal friends, or else they'll become extinct!

I mean, Circuit's going to be in a lot of trouble! He's Furaha's boyfriend, and it doesn't matter how many times he got shut down or his circuits got scrambled, he will survive this anyway...but he's a robot, so he's left out of the owl slaughter anyway.

And what about Hedwig and Errol? Harry and Ron are going to be so upset if they see them killed! I mean, Britain is fine with owls because J.K. Rowling used them in her stories, but the USA doesn't approve owls anymore, not even ones from Hogwarts. They think they suck! But we will save Circuit, Errol, Hedwig and all the other owls around the world, I promise.

And as for America invading Venezuela...what next? They'll destroy the Pride Lands! I don't know about you, but this holy land is facing a threat worse than Scar or Zira. It's not the president who is in a lot of trouble, he has ordered Kiara, Jack, Gwen and Kion to attack every single person in the country, and that's not fair! Kiara has already turned her father Simba, her mother Nala and her friends Zazu, Timon and Pumbaa into her AI-generated servants, and from there, things only got worse.

Disney's going to make more live action remakes and sequels and more Star Wars and Marvel films until they run out of ideas and quit their jobs entirely. They're too scared to stand up to the president...but we aren't. We have the power to create original content and outsmart this onslaught of remakes and sequels that only think about viewing profits and not entertainment and laughter.

So, everyone, raise a fist in the air if you want to join the revolution!

Curious Thoughts - Spread It, Lad!

In Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, Wallace has four different types of spread for his toast: of course, there's strawberry jam like he always has, but there's also blackcurrant jam, marmalade and of course...CHEESYMITE?! Okay, it's a bit like Marmite but with cheese in it, and everyone loves it.

But how is it made exactly? Do they take giant slices of cheddar and Wensleydale and turn them into jelly-like, cheesy mush? GROSS! It's when you think about it, guys, it's when you think about it. However, there is cheese sauce, and Wallace can use cheese from a Feaster's cheeseburger to melt on his toast. I tell you, a cheeseburger is much better than what they eat in the animations featured on Aardman's Darkside, it's disgusting!

But when you look at Wallace & Gromit, Wallace's love of cheese makes you want to crave cheese, crackers and toast too. Wallace has quite the appetite...
