My New Favourite Boomerang Show

Well, I have this to confirm: Scooby Doo & Guess Who is my new favourite show on Boomerang. Why? Because of the chase scene I saw - the Scooby Gang wore snorkels, rode a speedboat, fought off a crocodile monster as ninjas AND were chased by rats and a snouted mummy! Also, it has proper, beautiful animation - the sort of animated style I want to include in some of my works.

When Bluey's Episode 'The Creek' Comes On & You Are Reminded Of The Song That Plays In The 'Hood Episode 'Soothing Naturals'

In 'Soothing Naturals', the gang explore the Australian rainforest to look for a new place to swim which Izzy has found. Along the way, they learn to be calm to and respect nature, feeling how soothing and gentle it is to beings like them.

The 'Hood Teaser/Episode Schedule

Coming this July....

Introducing The 'Hood! 7-year-old Izzy is just your regular Aussie girl - except she lives in an extraordinary neighbourhood filled with favourite ABC Kids and ABC Me characters! With her best friends Mitchell, Becky, Templeton, Luke, Resus, Cleo, Tiny, Small, Bluey and Bingo, she navigates the trials of growing up as a kid in Australia and celebrates the joy of play and freedom. With its joyous reggae score, The 'Hood is exactly the kind of place Aussie kids would think up when they want to play imaginary games with their favourite ABC Me and ABC Kids characters.

This week's episodes are:
Joking Around
With Lucky's help, the gang go around the neighbourhood to see how their friends and neighbours crack wise.
Pinot Grigio
The gang get thinking about what's good to drink and what's not, and try to suspect why Small acts like something has spiked his soup...
The Balloon
On a playdate, the gang use their circus balloons to show the neighbourhood the value of kindness and tolerance.
Robots, Milk & Cookies
The gang find out from their neighbours that robots love ketchup, rain, radios and kites, but one big question plagues their mind: are robots powered by milk and cookies?
Cool Shade
The gang play in the shade of their favourite tree, gaze up at cloud shapes and try cloud jumping with their sky-dwelling neighbours.
Lazy Weekend
The gang spend the weekend at Izzy's house, being lazy and doing nothing.
Waiting For Lunch
At the annual Bring-Something-Barbecue, the kids marvel at the different foods brought along and imagine a large feast just for them, until lunch arrives.

Head to my blog tomorrow, Australians, for more Aussie native fun!

My Diary - 13th-19th July

13th July

Youtuber Mr. Edward's Fat Controller film seems to remind me of Factory, and of Strange Hill High too.

14th July

In 'Super Cats', the kittens rip off shows like My Friends Tigger & Pooh and PJ Masks by becoming heroes.

15th July

My fondness of ABC Kids, ABC Me and reggae has inspired me to do the Australian I.B.F.Fs - The 'Hood.

16th July

The Kid-E-Cats episode 'Kid-E-Kites' has inspired me to think of a cover of the Curious George song 'Jungle Gym' by Asheba for the The 'Hood episode 'Summer Fete'.

17th July
Due to circumstances beyond our control, I won't be working on Me, You, And Transformers Armada next week.

18th July

With the surprise on its way, my mind was filled with names of musical Teletubbies episodes: Good Morning, Handy Hands, Wake Up and Little Baby.

19th July

South Park, reggae, Aussie TV...I finally understand my purpose for 2020: works themed around Australian culture and folklore.

Sausage Rolls & Videos I Saw At Grandma's Today

Whenever I eat sausage rolls at Grandma's, I just want to put that Very Special Caillou thing on. It's where Caillou eats pizza and gets a heart attack, and then it's all revealed to be one of Daddy's dreams. It really puts you in the mood for eating ASDA sausage rolls!
"Spot's trying to get into his toybox. He's only little, but he's growing up."

The 'Hood: Some Guys Have All The Luck & Bluey's Zoo

Today's Bluey episodes on ABC Kids in Australia are Bus and Asparagus, and their alternate names are the names of these following The 'Hood episodes:
Some Guys Have All The Luck:
Izzy starts to feel a little closer to Luke, and as they develop feelings for one another, the rest of the gang try to realize what happens when a girl Izzy's age falls in love.
Bluey's Zoo:
Inspired by Bluey and Bingo's toy animals, the gang decide to turn themselves into a zoo: Izzy becomes a dolphin, Mitchell becomes a lion, Becky becomes a chimpanzee, Templeton becomes a cow, Luke is a wolf (obviously), Resus is a goat, Cleo is a cat, Tiny and Small are elephants and Bingo a mouse. They have to swap roles whenever Bluey shouts "Shamdoodle!" but then they all get mixed up!

The 'Hood DVDs

The 'Hood DVDs will be released in Australia, in the UK and all over the world. They'll be just like the Bluey DVDs - they have the same amount of episodes as in each Australian Bluey DVD and each has a Bluey episode or two as a bonus feature. In Australian releases, the DVDs include other features too, such as games, tips for parents and other content such as music videos and bonus episodes of other shows like Play School: Stop, Look, Listen.
