Mr Men Birthday Party: A Review

Mr. Men Birthday Party by Roger Hargreaves
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Little Miss Helpful's mistakes happen to prove useful. and Mr Silly was delighted - he loved every single bit of it.
Sometimes a birthday just has to end up as silly as that.

Mr Men Rainy Day: A Review

Mr. Men A Rainy Day by Roger Hargreaves
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

An anti boredom book...told as a story? WONDERFUL!
The Mr Men and Little Misses always show kids how to turn boring rainy day activities like baking, crafts and dressing up, into the furthest thing from.
I want to try all these things!

First Jungle Stickers: A Review

First Sticker Book Jungle by Alice Primer and FedericaLossa
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Wow! So amazing!
Bright and colourful animals to stick on all the pages.
For kids, the stickers are chunky enough for little hands.

Such an entertaining and engaging sticker book.
The canal boat scene was so nostalgic and immediately gave me Rosie & Jim vibes.

Mr Men Halloween Party: A Review

Mr. Men: Halloween Party by Adam Hargreaves
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A fun, not so spooky book for little ones going to their first Halloween party.
The Mr Men themselves are all analogues of a group of children with different personalities going to a fancy dress party and solving the mystery of a mysterious white sheet floating about.
Totally adorable and good for a short attention span.

The World According To Jacob: A Review

The World According to Jacob: Hilarious Words of Wisdom from a Little Old Soul by Jacob Whelan
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Enjoyed the book, has some joyful explanations of life according to a little boy living in Ireland.
Although...don't like reading the difficult text.
As I said, I don't like longer stories.

Big Jim Begins by Dav Pilkey
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Good, but...
I don't like longer stories, I prefer shorter ones, as said in my review of Dirty Bertie's Aliens.

Little First Jungle Stickers - A Review

Little First Stickers Jungle by Kirsteen Robson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Neon coloured wild sticker fun.
Really kept me entertained when I felt a bit weird and funny after a nap - just goes to prove jungle creativity is more important than longer stories.

Little First Zoo Stickers - A Review

Little First Stickers Zoo by Holly Bathie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A fun and wildly entertaining animal sticker book.
I enjoyed looking at all the animals and placing them in the correct zoo habitats depending on where the stickers are used.
Good fun!

Little Sticker Dolly Unicorns - A Review

Unicorns by Fiona Watt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Such a beautiful and brightly coloured sticker book.
Although it gave me vibes of the South Park 'Woodland Critter Christmas' episode, it made me want to explore this beautiful unicorn world.

Little First Mermaid Stickers: A Review

Little First Stickers Mermaids by Holly Bathie
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Everything in this book is so cute and beautiful!
I also realised from this book and this alone that I can tear out the sticker pages to use without flicking through the book. Wonderful work, Usborne!

Would not read if I'm tired after being kept up by the heat.
Fun story, though.

Stories Of Rotten Rascals: A Grizzly Review

Stories of Rotten Rascals: Contains 30 classic tales by Enid Blyton
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

Did not like it.
Too difficult to read in my opinion anyway.
Plus, it is a charming old fashioned rip off of the Grizzly Tales books.
Rather prefer reading Grizzly Tales than this.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid: Hard Luck - A Review

Hard Luck by Jeff Kinney
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have yet to finish this one.
Rebel is a good name for a dog though - yet, I have to tell Disney not to make it into a dull CGI remake.

Batpants: A Review

Batpants! by Jeremy Strong
My rating: 1 of 5 stars

I gave it one star and didn't finish it because Finn and Tilly were super annoying. I should call them the most annoying characters in children's literature, besides Nikki Maxwell of Dork Diaries.
Batpants and the other animals are great to hear about though, especially the animals mentioned at the beginning which didn't even play a part in Emma's stunt scene with Batpants.

Little First Crane & Digger Stickers: A Review

Little First Stickers Diggers and Cranes by Hannah Watson
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This sticker book is a lot more fun than the previous one I wanted to do, which had its back coming right off.
My favourite one of these characters is a mouse whose boot fell off. I think I'd name him 'Teddy'.
Would highly recommend for anti boredom moments such as a rainy day or a hot day indoors.

Dirty Bertie: Horror: A Review

Horror! by Alan MacDonald
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Read it for a little while, but found some similarities to Horrid Henry's Haunted House.
Made me want to read a Horrid Henry book at bedtime instead.
Still highly fun to read though.
