Want to make the 30 minutes spent talking to a grieving parent more fun? Turn it into a quiz!
YOU WILL NEED:
- Some cards
- Some colourful permanent markers
- A toy buzzer
- A notebook
- An Amazon Echo
One hour before the 30 minutes, write down your questions on 13 or 14 sheets of card, then stuff them into a little bag pouch.
After Mum has done her important stuff, ask your Echo to set a timer for 30 minutes. Put on your best game show host voice and introduce her as a contestant on today's episode of your show! Continue on to asking her your questions, and when she presses the buzzer to answer them, write down your answers in your notebook. However, if she has no clue what to say, give them a 'Research Challenge' to see whether they can find some advice to give to you.
When the timer finishes, you can present her with a prize, such as a handmade trophy made out of foil, a drawing, or even a cup of tea and a biscuit, and sign off by saying to your viewers,
"This show has been made possible thanks to the best Mum ever."
You can applaud now.
