The Happiness Project - 2021 - 27.11.21

Inspired by 50 Days Of Bluey, I made up the ScreamBlue Challenge.

One Line A Day - What To Watch This Christmas

I recommended blog users watch Scream Street, Bluey and Zenimation this Christmas.

They May Be Tunes For Future Episodes Of Zenimation...

ScreamBlue Challenge Day 1 - Scream Clean & Mini Bluey

Start by printing out some resources that'll help your kids understand how to build healthy friendships and understand character traits like those found in Luke, Resus, Cleo, Bluey and Bingo. In Mini Bluey, Bluey paints Bingo so they both look alike, so try some DIY body paint using different shades of blue, orange, black and gold, or follow along to this werewolf face paint tutorial. Once you've done that, write a story about you, Luke, Resus, Cleo, Bluey and Bingo discovering your aunt Dr F's shrinking machine and using it to find out what it's like to be small.

Watch the episodes the challenge is themed around on BBC iPlayer and ABC iView (if you live in Australia):

ABC Me - The Return Of Scream Street

Aussies, I have some bad news about series 2 of Scream Street - it, in my opinion, has jumped the shark, which means it has gone downhill. I respect your opinion if you like it, but no longer will you fall trap to the unsettling ways of the new adventures of what was supposed to be Luke, Resus and Cleo, because old episodes of the show are finally airing on ABC Me! So, here's the plan: watch Scream Street on ABC Me every morning at 7AM, then watch Bluey on ABC Kids at 8AM. Here's the full list of what you need to watch:
  • Today - Scream Clean & Mini Bluey
  • 28th November - Haunted House & Unicorse
  • 29th November - Lovestruck & Curry Quest
  • 30th November - Wolfgang & Magic
  • 1st December - Resus Rocks & Chess
  • 2nd December - Zoo Of The Weird & Sheep Dog
  • 3rd December - Mirror Mirror & Housework
  • 4th December - Banished & Pass The Parcel
  • 5th December - Heartbreak Heist & Explorers
  • 6th December - The Creepy Creeper & Phones
  • 7th December - The Brown Lagoon & Pavlova
  • 8th December - Zombie Derby & Rain
Tune into ABC Me and ABC Kids every day at 7AM and 8AM (if you live in Australia)!

3 Christmas Episodes Of My Favourite Shows To Watch

Christmas is upon us, and with your tree to put up and presents to wrap up, we all need a break sometimes, and these loving, gentle shows that are favourites of mine can help you through the festive season. These three episodes of these three shows are available for streaming now, and will help you have a happy Christmas.
The Grumpus
-Scream Street
Where to watch it: BBC iPlayer
It's Christmas in Scream Street, and Luke is looking forward to getting the new Zombie Kickboxer 5D game, but the other residents are scared, because wheras in the real world we're not afraid of Christmas, my friends from Scream Street are, and it's because of an evil creature named the Grumpus, who steals all the presents from every home. It's up to Luke, his parents and his friends Resus and Cleo to sort out the mystery and save Scream Street. This episode is from a time when Scream Street didn't jump the shark like it did with its second season, a warm and welcoming introduction to Scream Street at Christmas. It wasn't featured in the books, but it did feature on TV. Premiering in 2016, from a time when CBBC was more watchable, your heart will pound seeing Luella express her feelings to Resus, writing in her diary and kissing her dark angel under the mistletoe.
Verandah Santa & Christmas Swim
-Bluey
Where to find it: Disney+
These two episodes of the well-loved ABC, Disney Junior and CBeebies show truly show the cosiness and fun of spending time with family and friends, even at a time like this, and shows spending time with the ones that care for you most makes Christmas the best time of the year. In 'Verandah Santa', Bluey plays another one of her games with Dad, Bingo, Muffin and Socks, but is cruel to Socks after she bites her hand. In the process, she learns about being kind to others throughout the year. 'Christmas Swim' premiered last year, and shows Bluey spending Christmas with her extended family at Uncle Stripe's house, getting a new teddy named Bartleby. The family play too rough with Bartleby, but Bluey gets words of advice via a video call with Frisky and Uncle Rad that new members of the family have the right to fit in. Christmas Swim is a must watch even though it isn't on Disney+'s Christmas bundle, because the family spend time swimming and eating dinner around the table - a true Aussie Christmas.
Snowscapes
-Zenimation
Where to find it: Disney+
Zenimation, being a calming ASMR series, showcases beautiful images and moments from films from the rich legacy of the Walt Disney Animation Studios, all set to relaxing sounds. Snowscapes is definitely one to watch during the festive season, especially due to the presence of snow during all the clips featured. This episode features clips from films including Lady & The Tramp, Melody Time, Brother Bear, The Adventures Of Ichabod & Mr. Toad and especially Frozen. My favourite parts of the short are clips from The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh, especially when we see Kanga and Roo outside their house, and the ultra-rare appearance of footage from Fantasia 2000, when we see the elk from the 'Firebird Suite' wandering through a dark, gloomy pine forest, with the haunting 'Round Dance Of The Princesses' replaced with a haunting sound of forest wind, and the elk's footsteps in the snow. It's even better when you set it to Maurice Ravel's 'Pavane For A Dead Princess' - it syncs well with each clip, especially the flute bits when we see Bambi take his first steps into the snow. This, along with the Arendelle Castle Yule Log, is pure festive viewing.

Rain

Bluey:

When a heavy summer rain thunders over the Heeler home, Bluey is determined to dam the water in the front yard, while Mum tries to stop her constantly tracking mud into the house.

I.B.F.Fs:
Raised in the jungle, Luke, Resus, Cleo and I discover the power, fun and happiness of getting wet in the rain.
