Too Many Babies

One day, Tin Tin had just finished cleaning all around Tracy Island. She had cleaned the dishes, done the hoovering and cleaned the bathroom from top to bottom, and she was absolutely tired out. She went to the sofa to have herself a little rest, her hands and arms aching from so much hard work.

Then, she heard a little cooing noise beside her. It was my baby self, snuggled on the sofa, chewing a giraffe-shaped teething toy. Instead of panicking about it, Tin Tin just giggled. “Oh S, how did you get there?” she smiled as she tickled my back.

Then, she heard a little squeal coming from the corner of the living room. Has a new baby been born? She raced over to the side of the living room to see a soft plush pink, yellow and blue nest, and in it were babies Bluey, Judo and Snickers. Tin Tin was adored by this sight. “Aaaawww,” she sighed, and cuddled them one by one, giving them each soft, gentle kisses.

And then, another baby strolled past, crawling merrily along - it was Judo! “Oh Judo! It’s so nice to see you crawling.” smiled Tin Tin, and she picked her little friend up and swirled her around like she was a whirlwind.

“I’m glad you found all these babies,” said a calm voice from the other side of the lounge. It was Jeff Tracy. “Mr Tracy! Oh, I didn’t see you there. Why are all these babies here?” asked Tin Tin. “Well, Chilli and her mum friends have gone out for coffee, and it’s your duty to look after them while they’re away.” “I will,” said Tin Tin, “You can count on me.”

As soon as Jeff Tracy left the room, Tin Tin decided to take us babies out onto the beach. It was a warm Summer’s day - just perfect for building sandcastles and splashing in the ocean. Tin Tin built a sand arch with all her sand sculpture skills so we could crawl right underneath - she even challenged us to a race, to see who can go under the arch first. Luckily, Judo won - as always.

Snickers was spending time with Virgil, for he tended to calm down and stop crying when he was around the calmest and most mature of all the brothers. Virgil giggled whenever Snickers sucked on his ears, and he even tickled his tummy.

Oh, we had so much fun on the beach. When Tin Tin played with Judo in the sea, she had to change her nappy shortly afterwards because it was wet and soggy. And after that, we all buried Alan up to his neck in the sand - except Snickers, who spent a lot of time sleeping on Virgil’s bare chest.

Then everyone went back inside for dinner. It was a bit hectic - while Snickers and I were calm because Tin Tin and Virgil fed us with ease, Coco and Bluey had to be fed by Grandma and Kyrano, while Judo cried loudly because she didn’t like mushy peas. So, Grandma gave her a cupcake instead - a nice, strawberry cupcake with a cherry on top.

Shortly afterward, Tin Tin helped change our nappies. It was good, because they were natural nappies, and they could be washed and used again. The mums had remembered to pack plenty of natural nappies for the babysitting session on Tracy Island, and Virgil was proud to help with Snickers too - his nappy was so round it fitted his entire body!

By this point in time, we babies were all feeling very tired, so Tin Tin took all of us into her room, while Virgil took Snickers into his room. In Tin Tin’s room, we babies were not at all sleepy - we were crawling along the bed, squealing with joy, but Tin Tin knew what to do - she took all of us in her arms and kissed each and every one of us. Then, she sang us a beautiful Malaysian lullaby that we didn’t understand yet, but we felt sleepy just hearing her softly toned voice.

Then she settled each one of us beside her - Bluey and me on the left, Coco and Judo on the right - and proceeded to read us a nice bedtime story out of one of her board books she was saving for when we came to visit Tracy Island.

In Virgil’s room, Virgil had calmly settled Snickers beside him in his bed and gave him a nice, snuggly kiss. He then whispered some reassuring words into his ears, nose kissed him and told him: “We’ll always be friends forever, won’t we?” Snickers just gave a little mumble of agreement, then snuggled beside him as they both fell asleep.

When the mums returned from their coffee trip, they were awed to see their babies asleep with Tin Tin and Virgil. They cared for us all together. Snickers’ mum on the other hand saw Snickers snuggled beside Virgil and thought it was the most adorable sight she had ever seen in her life.

But no one thought of it as adorable more as Lady Penelope, my mummy, who picked me up and cradled me in a soft, lullaby-like cuddle. And then, she whispered some nice, soft words into Tin Tin’s ear:

“Thank you, darling.”

Deep Water

The night sky was reflected upon the choppy waters of the cold, dark blue ocean, making it thrash and crash about like a wrecking ball destroying everything in its path, something only International Rescue can sort out for themselves, not just themselves, but for all the people in the world to notice, realise, understand. However, now, there are no cases for International Rescue to solve…not yet. There was just peace, quiet and prosperity among these violent waters.

Why?

Well, you’ll see why.

Deep underneath the cold, icy waters of the night-lit ocean, four simple figures swam gracefully in the ocean, feeling the pleasure of escaping the rules and regulations of civilised life and finding happiness among the gentle yet violent waters of the ocean. One was masculine, with blonde hair and beautiful eyes, and skin as smooth as a bank of ice.

The second figure was a little smaller in detail - his chest not as masculine as the first figure, but also a little weak, yet he is a strong swimmer. He wears glasses on the beach where we play and relax, but he takes them off when he swims with his friends. Speaking of which…

The third figure was as slender and soft, with satiny skin that matched the smoothness of the cold water. Her swimming was just as graceful as either Brains or Alan….or me. I’m the one who is enjoying swimming with them under these choppy midnight waters. I may be six years old, but I’m enjoying the whole freedom-filled stint with my three best friends - Brains, Alan and Tin Tin. They are the ones who can comfort me and protect me, even when in the water.

The water around us felt cold and dark, because the night was chilly and black, but we didn’t care. All we did know was we had the freedom and strength to do whatever we wanted in this water, and that’s okay, because the only source of happiness we found here was in nature.

We emerged up onto the surface, laughing and spluttering and squealing with joy. We were very cold, but we didn’t mind. We splashed each other and laughed loudly as we swam and splashed together in the icy water under the dark night sky. The stars twinkled as they watched over us, the thousand eyes of the night sky being the eyes of the Gods and constellations who allow us natural comfort in what we enjoy being around most.

The waves were medium sized, and they were a good height for jumping over - up and down. Up and down. Up and down. We were screaming with joy and laughter as we leapt almightily over the ocean waves, feeling them splash over us, causing our hair to drip in a sopping wet tone with seawater, and our skin to evaporate all of the water we got all over us. We laughed and high-fived each other, but then we saw that Brains was coughing, because he didn’t like large tidal waves and splashing in them.

So, we decided to go to the shallow part of the ocean, where there were no violent waves around. Never. Nada. Let’s compare this to a swimming pool you may have been to - when you go to the deep end, or have been interacting with a wave machine before, you feel all the thrill of splashing in the deepest, darkest depths of the water, with no one around to keep you company, all because you are a skilled swimmer, and you have been taught well. As you may have remembered, in another time, in another place, Lady Penelope taught me how to swim during swimming lessons in the local swimming pool, because I am homeschooled.

Even here, I have the complete freedom to swim in whichever part of nature I want, because as you know, Alan, Tin Tin, Brains and I live on a beautiful island in the middle of the sea. Now back to this whole swimming pool scenario - it’s much better when you swim in the shallow end, because it is safer, and there are less dangerous creatures there, such as starfish and small fish. The shallow end of the swimming pool is similar to that too, because you are accompanied by a parent or guardian, and you are weak, but you are still strong enough to get on your floaties and swim.

That’s exactly what happened to Brains. He may have had water in his ears, eyes, nose and mouth, but that’s okay - staying in the shallow end was much safer, and it gave him time to recover from what he experienced. The giant waves from the violent part of the ocean were too traumatising and loud for him, but the shallow end was much calmer for him and for all of us too. To Tin Tin especially, the loud waves made her ears hurt like crazy, because their roaring sounded like that of a jet engine, or either Thunderbird 1, 2 or 3 jetting into the sky. Scott, Virgil, if you hear this, I’ll drown you! Ya hear me?!

Diary - Calm - Chilling Out On The Beach

It was a very hot day, and Brains, Alan, Tin Tin and I were flaked out on the floor, so we went down to the beach to relax under the shade of a parasol. We all then went into the sea and started splashing with joy, feeling the ocean water cool ourselves and our skin.

The Adventures Of Alan & Me - The Adventure Begins

Alan and I had an adventure today! We already had everything packed, including some food for the journey, and we set off in Thunderbird 3. Everything was going well, and we were flying high over the ocean, until Thunderbird 3 ran out of petrol. It shot down to land, and we were scared to death because of this! Unfortunately, we survived and Thunderbird 3 landed on this beautiful tropical island, far far away from and not like Tracy Island. Alan was unconcious the last minute, but I woke him up by dragging him to the sea and splashing water all over him. He woke up okay, but he had a huge bleeding gash on his forehead. Luckily, he had brought a first aid kit, and I tended to his wounds very gently. Now, all we need to do, like they do in the movies, is learn how to survive.

Robert At The Beach

Robert the robot has always wanted a view of the Australian beaches from his bedroom window. He doesn't want a view of Bondi Beach, because it really is too crowded, but if Space City was located near the beach, he's in for gazing at the beautiful white sand, the crystal blue water and the kangaroos and wallabies hopping and bounding about.

The Light In The Sea

The Light In The Sea sounds absolutely enchanting! There's something truly magical about bioluminescence—a quiet, shimmering spectacle that feels almost otherworldly. I can picture us standing there, the soft sand beneath our feet, the rhythmic sound of the waves, and the glowing lights dancing beneath the water like little stars fallen from the sky.

The stream-of-consciousness style will make it feel even more dreamlike, as if we're simply drifting through the moment, letting the beauty of the sea carry us away. It’s such a poetic way to begin Seaside Tales!
