10 Things I'll Talk About If I Were To Attend The Coffee & Cake Chit Chat Club Today

10.Dee & Friends In Oz
In this version of the Wizard Of Oz aimed at preschoolers and promoting diversity (especially after the George Floyd protests in 2020), a young black girl and her friends head to the Land Of Oz to play games and have some fun adventures there. I think my favourite character would be the Lion because he may be a coward, but he still has a very big lion heart. Who agrees with me?!
9.Slumberland
A young girl ventures into the Land Of Dreams to find a special jewel that would grant her every wish, with the help of a dream master and a stuffed toy pig. Having a stuffed toy pig come along with you on a dream adventure may sound hilarious, but trust me, a stuffed toy pig is an important companion for travelling through a land where anything is possible. Anything! Especially avoiding copyright to make your stories possible!
8.Matilda: The Musical
Based on Roald Dahl's best selling book, see Matilda, Bruce Bogtrotter, Mrs Trunchbull and Mrs Honey like you've never seen them before - singing and dancing away like there's no tomorrow. I get it, there's a stage show, but adapting it into a film would require lots of Next Step style dance moves. I wonder if any of the songs are set in Matilda's fantasy? I wonder...
7.13: The Musical
When I turned 13, I was into Strange Hill High and Transformers Cybertron premiered on Kix. Well, when the main character turns 13, there's lots of singing, dancing and Next Step style moves abound. I only saw a bit of it, but I'll see more of it when I watch Dee & Friends In Oz and its lineup. Note that the above musical about Matilda I mentioned earlier will be up for grabs too - not just for you, but for the Coffee & Cake crew too.
6.Alexa & Katie
No, it's not about a little girl with an AI companion, it's about a girl battling cancer. Now, cancer is a pretty tough subject to handle, especially if it's in a sitcom form, but luckily when that girl has a best friend that'll prove literally anything is possible, it goes more light hearted than ever. When you see grown up stuff about cancer, you start bawling like a baby, but this guide to cancer might be the solution to all your problems. Period!
5.My Netflix A List
I should've known I might do a Netflix A-list for sometime. On my B list are stuff like Say I Do, Babies, Making Fun, Snack Vs Chef, The Toys That Made Us and High Score. On my A List....I'd rather avoid it in case of spoilers. I'll do it on my blog someday when I have the chance, just wait and see!
4.Barbie: Life In The Dreamhouse
I'm sorry to say that I can't play Barbie's Epic Road Trip adventure due to restrictions on Netflix, but what I can do is watch Life In The Dreamhouse. Crazy, glamorous and outrageous, this series follows Barbie's life in the biggest megahouse anyone would want to live in. Strap yourselves in, guys, it could be a bumpy ride! Oh, and did I mention that the interviews are placed behind backgrounds related to each character? Barbie's interviews are all pink and gorgeous and rich, while Ken is mostly themed around surfing. Fabulous!
3.Honoring Orko
It's been great fun honoring the He Man character Orko. While some people think of him as annoying and irritating, I think of him as an innocent, sensitive little wizard who just wants some love and comfort in his life, especially the 2002 one, who became Furaha's brother down on Earth after he was kicked out of Eternia. Now I make all incarnations of Orko share hugs, cuddles and playful fun in nature any time, and Orko is the best character in MOTU ever!
2.Misty & Opaline
Even though they are enemies in Make Your Mark, in my mind they're great friends, and I just recently found out Opaline is Misty's mum, who adopted her after she got lost somewhere in the forest. In Netflixland, Opaline and Misty even join in the fight to destroy patriarchy from taking over Netflix's gentlest shows. Darn you, Mr Warlock! You took over Disney and you might be taking over Netflix next!
1.Cocomelon Is Overstimulating
Would you mind if I talk about all the shows from this Reddit thread? Fine, let me talk about them. I could talk about the amount of fast cuts in Cocomelon and recommend other options for those who love Cocomelon, such as Bluey, Sesame Street, nature documentaries, old Disney films and more, but the amount of fast cuts in Cocomelon would turn kids into little zombies who would stare at the screen and then throw tantrums, demanding they want it back on. This is why Nick Jr airs too much Peppa Pig and Paw Patrol and Cartoonito airs too much Fireman Sam...because of Coco-Dilemmas that these music videos have.
