I.B.F.F Diaries '17 - 15th March 2017 - Miss Hardbroom Goes Crazy!

Miss Hardbroom might be the sternest teacher in Cackles' Academy, but on the day of the premiere of The Worst Witch episode 'The Mists Of Time', Mildred and Luella did something about it - just read I.B.F.F Diaries '17.

Mildred is fearing that Wednesday because Miss Hardbroom is visiting CBBC, so she enlists the help of Luella to make a potion that Miss Hardbroom would approve of. The vital ingredient for the potion, as Luella accidentally finds out, is 100 grams of sugar, and other additions to the potion include frog's legs, rat's tails and jellybeans - the jellybeans mean that potion has changed colour.

When Miss Hardbroom visits, everyone fears the strict look on her face, until she comes to Mildred's 'Worst Witch' room. Mildred allows Miss Hardbroom to taste the potion, and despite Luella's protests, Miss Hardbroom tastes it anyway and starts feeling a tingling sensation overcome her. She then screams and races around CBBC like a loonatic - she's gone crazy! She models the Gumbles like balloon animals, messes around with the controls in the control panel and plays the skeleton bones like a xylophone in the Operation Ouch room. She's gone completely out of control, and Mildred fears it was her fault, but actually it's Luella's as she poured too much sugar into the mixture by knocking over the sugar pot Mildred had on her desk. Mildred feels Luella's pride has been torn by this, and she forgives her friend. They start to devise a plan on how to get Miss Hardbroom to snap the hell out of it.

Miss Hardbroom approaches the storeroom however, and opens the door only to find a pile of crates fall on top of her. Mildred and Luella are shocked, and Mildred yells "Call 999!!"

Later, Miss Hardbroom ends up in hospital with a bandage round her head, but there are no injuries - the teacher on the other hand feels alright again, and back to her strict self. Mildred fears she'll punish her for a bad potion, but Miss Hardbroom approves the potion, as it reduced her fatigue and thanks Mildred for calling the hospital to save her, asking if she could make some more. Mildred agrees, but only if Luella doesn't add sugar this time. Luella blushes and says, "Don't blame me, I know a lot about spells because of her."

Scream Street Thought Of The Day - The Bottomless Pit

Smell is the strongest sense your body can hold. Think about what nice things you smell every day: scented candles, flowers, baked goods, anything for that matter, but when you're living on Scream Street, some things or residents can smell really, really bad. Foul odor is common in Scream Street, because all the series holds is gross out humor. Take Doug for example: since he's a zombie, he smells of rotting rubbish! What kind of perfume does he wear? And Mr. and Mrs. Crudley smell even worse - they smell of a damp swamp! And as for Sir Otto Sneer - he smells of beer! Despite all the rhyming and whatever, there are some smells in Scream Street that are very pleasant, like when you encounter Luke, Resus and Cleo and their families. It seems Luella and Eefa smell of rich perfume, whilst Cleo has a musty and old smell. I wonder if Resus and his family (and of course Lulu) smell of blood? But there's one resident of Scream Street that smells even worse: the goblins. They fart a lot so they produce bad odor all the time, so gas masks had better be worn for when you're spending time with the goblins. Their farts are worse than body odor! Don't worry, Luke, Resus and Cleo - mainly Cleo - can take care of themselves so they can cope with the stresses of body odor since they're teens. Smell is very important in Scream Street, and tell that to Dig: he has a clever nose so he can smell things easily like fresh food or dog biccies, but a warning to all: Dig smells of....what does Dig smell of? I don't know, but if there were sweeter scents in Scream Street we'd feel safe from bad odor anyway. Imagine that: Doug wearing a little girl's dress with a red bow on his head and smelling of sweet candyfloss perfume. Don't laugh, it's only a vision of Scream Street being a sweeter-smelling place - tell that to Dig's nose, but Luke's werewolf nose is as clever as Dig's because it can not only smell anything that can be strong to scent, but it can also smell the blood of its targets, even when there's no blood dribbling out of their bodies. I wonder what Dixon and No Name smell of? They smell horrible, that is, but some residents of the street never brush their teeth so their breath stinks! If only you taught the residents proper hygiene then they would smell nice and fresh, as fresh scents is what I live for. Maybe Luke, Resus and Cleo live for sweet scents too - in fact, it's much better than the foul scents of Scream Street, am I right? Good! Then whatever you're into, make sure the resident you're hanging out with smells nice as a Spring morning - or maybe even a flower, in my case.

A Quiet Party

Birthday parties can be too noisy and overwhelming for autistic people, especially if they are sensitive to noise. Resus and the other I.B.F.Fs can show you how in today's I.B.F.F story, which shows how to manage a birthday when you're autistic and features the I.B.F.Fs preparing a quiet birthday party for me - with unfortunate results and one messy mess up with a chocolate birthday cake!
