Yes, Trixie is one of Princess Celestia's students. In the first three seasons, Celestia actually sent her to challenge Twilight to see who would own the title of Princess Of Friendship, and assigned Snips and Snails to be her bodyguards - they are secretly friendly to her, and they possess the elements of Laughter & Honesty. Better look twice before reading the small print, Apple and Pinkie.
