I've seen Tom & Jerry & The Wizard Of Oz, but now I think it's similar to Scooby Doo & The Goblin King due to all three characters interacting with real, magical beings.
Whilst I think Tom & Jerry & The Wizard Of Oz is similar to a mix of The Tom & Jerry Show (2014) and Dorothy & The Wizard Of Oz, another Boomerang show, on the other hand I believe Scooby Doo & The Goblin King is similar to a mix of Scream Street, Peter Pan and South Park's Imaginationland. What's next, Tom & Jerry Meet Oliver Twist? I don't think so! Well, I do, but I'd love to see Tom & Jerry joining in with 'Consider Yourself'.Sunday, 16 August 2020
My Gel Pens!
These are the gel pens I got from Sally today.
Even though I did the wrong things and shouted at Mum and Grandma today, I'm so glad getting these pens have been my favourite part of today. And when each one runs out of ink, I'm going to hold a memorial for each pen right here on this blog.
My Tracy Beaker Lockdown Story
Tracy Beaker was stuck in lockdown for the past few months. She had missed her friends Arthur, Buster, D.W., Vlad and Zoltan because she'd been writing in her diary a lot and was thinking about her time on CBBC. Whilst searching through the attic, she found a box of old video tapes and DVDs labelled 'CBBC - Do Not Touch Without Permission' in wacky Jacqueline Wilson writing. Curious, Tracy moved the box out from under the Christmas tree (she was lucky to see there were Christmas decorations untouched, yet they brought back past memories of Starring Tracy Beaker, which she kept on her bookshelf and read at night). She blew the dust away from the box and lifted the lid. To her surprise, the box contained tapes and discs which all read 'CBBC' and had a random date printed on it. The first tape was labelled 'CBBC - Tracy Beaker - 18/5/2'. Tracy knew this date - it was when she first arrived on CBBC.
Tracy heaved the box downstairs, being very careful to watch her step, grabbed some popcorn and a drink and placed the tape into her video player. The screen fizzed and crackled, and then the presenters of CBBC from 2002 appeared to announce that "Tracy Beaker is coming up next!". Tracy smiled as the familiar intro began to play.
"I can make my world come true,
All my dreams will see me through,
Doesn't matter what may come my way,
Believe me now, I will win someday!"
It was then that Tracy heard the familiar first beautifully constructed lines of her debut on television: "And you never let me eat sweets, you (unidentified words) watching horror videos, and your kitchen stunk of wet dog! And I never want to see you, EVER, AGAIN!!" "Serves you right, Julie and Ted," laughed Tracy. Having heard these words in the Dumping Ground episode 'The Last Dance' last year, Tracy shed a tear hearing this:
"Do you not want to hear the Mike Milligan childrens' home welcome speech?"
"Not the way you say it, you're pants."
Tracy heard a familiar vocal tune, beautiful and breezy, playing in her head, almost like a breath of wind was calling her, as she heard Mike say his iconic first words to her young, brash self. This was cut off however by her younger self's yelling, which lead to the hilarious first animation of the Dumping Ground exploding due to Tracy's temper-fuelled shrieks, sending everything including Mike, an armchair and a toilet flying out. This sent her into fits of laughter, and caused her popcorn to spill onto the floor.
Tape after tape she watched every day after lockdown, other times, she sat in silence, remembering the good times she and Arthur shared together, playing pranks on D.W., hanging out with Buster, Vlad and Zoltan and riding bikes in the park.
Every time she put a different tape on, a fun memory of when she was with her friends, from the Dumping Ground or not from the DG, came into her mind. Next, she decided to watch the DVDs. First, she watched the DVDs that had the labels which read the premiere date of each episode of Tracy Beaker Returns. The loud, gripping noises of the first two episodes of Series 3 make Tracy hold onto the edge of her seat, and when it came to watching the last episode, this was when Tracy's emotions broke. She began to cry. As she cried, she had fond memories of her friends from CBBC at the time. Arthur, Vlad, Buster, D.W., Zoltan, Sarah-Jane, Roy, Little Howard, Scooby Doo, the Pet Squad, almost everyone who was important to her, including everyone in the Dumping Ground. Now she'd want to call Justine I'm-Sorry-I-Was-Mean-On-You Littlewood. As soon as the last DVD that had a premiere of a new episode of Tracy Beaker ended, Tracy wiped her tears away, for she had an idea: she'd write letters to Vlad, Arthur and Buster to tell them how they were doing during lockdown! So she did, and she remembered not to touch the germy postbox as she posted her letters - yellow for Arthur, blue for Buster and black for Vlad.
The next week, she decided to escape the whole Boy-Girl-Dog-Cat-Mouse-Cheese-Little-Big-Awesome conundrum with her Dumping Ground tapes, mainly the first one, which contained the full length premiere of the show itself. Memories of The Dumping Ground itself flooded her mind as she fixed eyes upon the drama on screen and the animated sequences, such as the kids throwing the support worker lady up into the air on a see-saw, the Dumping Ground exploding because of a grenade and Frank and Tyler becoming superheroes. Just as she was about to put on the tape that contained the episode 'What Would Gus Do?' Tracy heard the mailbox go clunk, and she looked outside to see a large brown package shaped like a video tape. She picked it up and looked at it. Tracy had one of those really old mailboxes right outside the house. Sometimes, Tracy finds things in the mailbox like bugs, rubbish and things like that - a few years back, she had found a squirrel had made a nest there. Tracy undid the package and looked at the tape. It looked like the tapes she kept in the old, dusty box. She looked at the side, and there was a sticker of a picture of Arthur on it! She looked on the package and saw all the names of every CBBC character she knew from her time there, written in pink felt tip pen markings.
Tracy went back inside and inserted the tape in, waiting until it had finished rewinding. As she pressed play, she saw an image of Arthur preparing a camera and sitting down on the sofa, or couch, as he called it. He had a mournful look on his face, almost as if he was about to cry. Tracy felt for Arthur has he swallowed and said this:
"Okay, here goes: Tracy...I've always wanted to say this to you for a long time, but without you here I couldn't have made it through my awkward childhood in Elwood City. That was even during the time I ripped my pants in school - you know them as trousers in the UK - but I feel really upset now that my show is the first thing we see early in the morning. Friends get you through in tragic times like this, and because there are so many people suffering out there, I want to say...I...I....well, that's just the thing. I don't know how to talk about this drastic times anymore. So I've recorded this message on behalf of everyone at CBBC to wish you well during the virus lockdown."
Arthur broke down into tears as he continued:
"And to prove to myself that this might be forever, I've taped this over the arrival of three remarkable kids who have changed CBBC forever in 2013. Good luck, Tracy."
Arthur took off his glasses and wiped away his tears just as the screen fizzled and cut to the CBBC Office in 2013. After this segment, it led into the premiere of Strange Hill High. Tracy was delighted, as she hadn't seen Mitchell and his friends for months and was glad to see them again as much as she'll reunite with Arthur someday.
That night, Tracy happily put on her glasses and pyjamas and read The Story Of Tracy Beaker in bed, a moment much better than watching the noisy Charlie & Lola during the new weekend Bedtime Hour. All she wanted now was a reply from Arthur.
The next morning, as Tracy was pouring out her cornflakes, she heard something being pushed through the letterbox. As she went to look, she was surprised to discover 20 letters sprawled out on the floor! Arthur, Buster, Vlad, D.W., Mike, Justine, Louise, Peter, Tyler, Jody, Frank, Carmen, Tee, Lily, Gus, Harry, Billie, Toni, Ryan and all the other kids she'd met at the Dumping Ground have all replied to her. Each letter wished her the best of luck, and D.W.'s letter had cute little Mary Moo Cow stickers all over it. Arthur's letter touched her the most, as it told her that he and everyone on CBBC will always be there for her, even when they are far apart.
Tracy stuck the letters up onto the wall. The recession so far had been a heartwarming one according to Tracy, with all those happy memories of what the world once was flooding her brain once again, and bringing her back to her rebellious young self once again. Poking her head out an open window, she saw a flock of doves taking off into the sky and into the sunlight. Taking a deep breath, she called out the catchphrase CBBC fans came to recognise so dearly since Tracy Beaker made her debut on the channel in 2002:
"BOG OFF!!"

How To Share Your Sausage Rolls With The Residents Of Scream Street
Here's the Scream Street residents you'd most like share sausage rolls with.

- Luke
- Resus
- Cleo
- Luella
- Sir Otto Sneer
- Dixon
If you were to share a sausage roll with Luella, she'd double it with magic and share it with her friend Mildred, who'd order more sausage rolls to replace the boring porridge at lunchtimes at Cackles' Academy. Sir Otto Sneer would scoff his down right away, as in the Scream Street episode 'Cry Wolf' he had a whole desk laid with food which Carla Black stole, while Dixon would turn into a chipmunk and nibble on it straight away. Luke would wolf it down (geddit) and Cleo would check to see if it's poisonous, while Resus would push it away because it's meat, and vampires eat flesh, don't they? Some do, some don't, but you'd better understand your stereotypes.
