Lindsey Vs. Adam - The Decider!
A lot of crazy things have happened on Blue Peter since I started watching - they made a Worst Witch-related Comic Relief skit, Radzi left and Richie and Henry arrived, they made a Shelley-Bration cake, Henry took a trip to London to ride the London Eye and have a little delicate tea party for his little doggy tummy, they introduced Mwaksy and had those special programmes celebrating Black History (as we all know, CBBC is becoming more diverse, so programmes have more skin colour), they had that Six Badges Of Summer campaign that reminded us to be thankful, they introduced Adam from The Dog Ate My Homework, they went behind the scenes of Scream Street and The Witches in a memorable Halloween special from last year(!), Mwaksy went on a date with Henry when she got over her fear of dogs (causing them to spend the night together), they had a chocolatier in the studio for their Christmas special and Mwaksy caused quite a display with a plane/fireworks display, Hacker was in the studio for a quiz, Radzi returned, Tracy Beaker got her own show in celebration of My Mum Tracy Beaker and more.
Now the BP gang is saying R.I.P to their old studio (and Henry is whining over it)...but saying goodbye to the old makes way for the new! Like how I coped without Scream Street, the Blue Peter presenters are coping without the studio they've held so dear and introducing a new one. Plus, Lindsey and Adam are baking a cake to commemorate memorable Blue Peter moments throughout history such as Lulu the elephant and Lindsey's Red Arrows adventure. They even have flashy new graphics! Make room for Henry, suckers!
I.B.F.Fs: Desire Apology
I am very sorry to tell you that I didn't do the second story for today, I.B.F.Fs: Desire. I was so shocked and anxious when I received the unexpected news that I was getting my Covid-19 jab in two weeks that I had to take a nap to take my mind off it. I just had an idea: I'll do deep breathing exercises every day leading up to my jab so I don't freak out. I'll find all the best websites out there and look up all the best meditation videos...as if that's going to erase my fears of a vaccine!
Blue Peter - Starring Petra!
It's 1974 on Blue Peter, so before Lindsey and the gang were born, and before cutie-pie Henry was introduced to our screens, John, Peter, Lesley and Petra roamed our screens. Join them as they celebrate Petra's birthday and Bonfire Night all at the same time. How many sausages and s'mores can you fit into Petra's mouth?
Adam & Lindsey's Chocolate Shelley-Bration Cake
Adam and Lindsey are marking Blue Peter history - literally, with tributes to Lulu the elephant and Lindsey's adventure in the air. But since Blue Peter reached its 2021 edge with its new studio, it's time to pay tribute to Shelley with this delicious Shelley-bration cake. If only they could make a cake based around Henry the cutie-pie.
Preparing For The Vaccine
What is the Coronavirus?
Is there anything to fear about the Covid-19 vaccine?
BrainPop and Bing have the solution to all of that.
One Line A Day - 2021 - 3.6.21
Dad is possessed once again, and this time he's a claw machine! At least I tried helping Grandma, now I smell of poop and stale wood!
Express Yourself - 3.6.21
I'm scared because I'll be getting the Covid vaccine in two weeks. I need to find ways to calm down!
Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Journal - 3.6.21
Before The Claw, I experienced the tough chaos of trying to help Grandma off the bathroom floor, now I smell of poop and wood.
While the ambulance was helping Grandma, I did the fourth chapter of I.B.F.F Diaries '21, a very sweet chapter with childlike innocence, typical of families and friends on the beach on long, hot, hazy, lazy Summer days. And a bit of beach romance too.
I'm really scared because in two weeks I'll be getting my first Covid jab. I'll be given the Pfiezer injection, but I need to keep calm.
I'm Having The Vaccine
Ulp...scary news to those reading my blog...I'm being vaccinated in two weeks. I mean, I'm happy I'll be finally brushing away death because they'll be freeing me of Covid-19, but I'm frightened! The thought of having a needle stuck in my arm will make me scream like Tom when Jerry inflicts pain onto him. Luckily, Mum is organizing with the doctor, who will be giving me the Pfiezer vaccine because I'm on the pill, to do it in a quiet place where there are no people, because I'm autistic and I'm dealing with my condition. And all while Bluey, Young Dracula and The Dumping Ground are on! Yikes! I must try not to panic, however, and think to myself:
'I will not die.'
Arthur & The Haunted Tree House
Looking for a substitute for something that scared your pants off...literally? Like...er....a horror film or something? Look no further! I just saw Arthur & The Haunted Tree House earlier and I thought I might like to share it with you (I'm sharing EVERYTHING I see on CBBC from now on). The first part of this two-part special reminds me of the Scream Street episode 'Double Trouble', and the second part...well, you know the rest. There are also lots of detailed surprises hidden everywhere you look in this special, like for example graves paying tribute to other holidays kids love, Summer and Christmas, and silent bits you have to fill in with dialogue, and mooing noises while Arthur and his friends are watching a film with popcorn and candy bars. Can you find the surprises? I can, and I'm not scared of anything spooky that appears on CBBC...
Can You Make Chilli Laugh?
There's a new Bluey short in town! Sure, you can make a baby laugh, but can you make a grown mum laugh? Leave it to my best friends, Bluey and Bingo!
The Adventures Of Bingo...Ranked!
March last year, when the Coronavirus hit. It wasn't just Bluey that saved us all, her sister also stole the spotlight, providing her with major roles in episodes such as 'Sleepytime' and especially 'Bingo'.
This countdown ranks all the Bluey episodes from worst to best. They forgot about Bluey entirely and told us that Bingo was going to play a major role in these adventures, but that's another story.
Cafe Explained
Bandit and Fido's relationship in the Bluey episode 'Cafe' has been the highlight for this new article about parent friend relationships. While Bluey's friendship with Winnie can be quite similar to her relationship with Jean-Luc in 'Camping', the way Bandit tries to make friends is the same equivalent to how a white person tries to befriend a black person (not that I'm being racist or anything). Also, Bingo has a lot of trouble pouring orange juice.
Bagpuss Is Back...Puss
Good news for fans of Bagpuss - he's back, not on Nick Jr, but on iPlayer! Click the link below and let Abney & Teal-style folksy vibes come clog-dancing back to you.
Q&A A Day For Kids - 2021 - 3.6.21
Both. Being inside means baking and writing stories, and being outside means lying in the grass and cloudgazing.
I.B.F.F Diaries '21 - The Claw
Buried Alive anyone?
The family and I go on holiday to the beach, and while I spend time with the little kids, Luke and the other big siblings go to the arcade in the town, and Luke tries to get a pink rabbit with yellow ears for me, but instead gets a green teddy bear. Will he appreciate what he's got?
