I've decided to do something new: each week, when the CBBC Book Club posts a new idea for their story, I'll make up my own part for my own CBBC book in the form of a Powerpoint presentation. Once I discovered the lovely characters made up so far throughout the month, I decided to make my own: Leo the Lion, a guardian of Fantasy Island. Check out my Powerpoint presentation about him here:

I.B.F.F Diaries '17 - 8th March 2017 - Witches At The Fair
On the 8th March, an episode about a spelling bee at Cackles' aired on CBBC, but this section in I.B.F.F Diaries about its premiere date and what Mildred and Luella got up to really is "fair" of change.
Mildred and Luella see the students of Cackles' flying over CBBC on their broomsticks. Mildred sees Maud and calls up to her why there are so many broomsticks flying over CBBC. Maud is excited because all of Cackles' is going to the fair, and invites Mildred and Luella along for the trip. On the way, Mildred describes to a nervous Luella that going to the fair is just like 'eating toffee apples with popcorn at the school fete', as the trainee witch had never been to a fair before.
When they get to the fair, Miss Cackle pairs the students into groups so they can enjoy the fair quite easily. Seeing how Mildred is getting on quite well with Luella, Miss Cackle reluctantly groups them along with Maud, humiliating Miss Hardbroom as well. The three witches show us how witches really spend their time at the fair, like turning a fast rollercoaster into a chariot pulled by a thousand unicorns, transforming a big wheel into a hot air balloon ride and winning easily at the ring toss (although Maud wins and gets a goldfish). The witches have such a lot of fun at the fair, and Maud finally gets to understand why Luella is so obsessed with The Worst Witch - because it's full of witches just like her.
Later, the girls encounter a roadshow with a secret trapdoor in its stage. Upon opening it, Mildred and Luella are sucked down a tunnel and into a secret magician's lair, with lots of bottles and powders and tubs. Mildred and Luella try out one of the spells there with their combined magic. On the surface, Maud, Enid and Ethel have looked everywhere for Mildred and Luella but haven't the faintest chance where they are. Plus, it's getting dark! Suddenly, fireworks go off in the sky and everyone gathers to see the fantastic show...until Luella and Mildred fall out of the sky and land safely on a bouncy castle. It is revealed that Luella and Mildred were the cause behind the fireworks, as they've been mixing up a potion together in the secret underground lair to see what would happen if their magic combined. Miss Cackle tells them that the roadshow they found the lair at was Grinaldi's Magic Roadshow, which often comes to perform at Witching School Fetes and has a magic trapdoor that leads to a secret lair so witches can try their hand at can-do spells which they can even do at their own witching school.
Later, Mildred orders candyfloss and Luella orders popcorn, and the girls decide to combine them so they can share both together - the result? Popcorn in candyfloss! The two agree that the best combination is friendship and magic, and that's what makes witches who they are on CBBC and everywhere around us today, especially when it comes to The Worst Witch.

Scream Street Thought Of The Day - The Brown Lagoon
Ever since I saw Scream Street, I've been having dreams about Luke, Resus and Cleo, and one of them was the most successful: in this dream, Luke, Resus, Cleo and I were raised amongst nature, in the jungle. We don't know which animal we were raised by, but what we did know was that we were raised fully naked (except Cleo because she wears bandages) and free. We swam and splashed in the cool lake, hid in the leaves whenever another animal came by, ate tropical fruit (we learnt what's safe to eat and what's not safe to eat) and honey and often played around, laughing happily - life in our jungle was peaceful and full of freedom, and this life gave us complete happiness. There was just one problem - we couldn't sleep. One day, we tried searching for a soft and comfy place to sleep, but every place in the jungle we found was either itchy, rough, hard, irritating and very uncomfortable. Ultimately tired, we climbed up a mountain and wandered along a path in the cold, thick fog until we saw a large paddling pool-sized nest blocking our path. When we climbed over the side of the nest, we saw that the nest was lined with soft, warm, comfy feathers. When we climbed it, it felt so comfortable and soft, and very cozy to sleep in. Just as we were going to sleep however, a giant eagle landed in our nest (remember the eagle in The Rescuers Down Under?) and screeched at us. We were terrified at first, but the eagle turned out to be friendly and allowed us to sleep in her nest. I hugged our new eagle friend gently as Luke, Resus and Cleo snuggled down to sleep amongst the feathers, but then the eagle started to tickle us with the tip of her beak, sending us laughing in sheer happiness and joy. The eagle then gently hugged us four as if we were her own children, and as if she had lost her own, like Kala lost her own child before she found Tarzan and raised him as her own. The eagle then settled us in the soft, gentle feathers, and we fell asleep at last, with the eagle standing guard and protecting us all through the rest of the night. The moment I woke up from that dream, I instantly got obsessed with the sensuality of this dream and started watching everything related to Tarzan. I wonder if other people had a similar dream a few months after they started watching Scream Street on CBBC too? Mine is so successful that I decided to think about this dream when times are little too rough on me or I am getting stressed or angry. This dream meant Luke, Resus, Cleo and I really did get back to nature.
