Sticker Dolly Summer Camp: A Review

Sticker Dolly Dressing Summer CampSticker Dolly Dressing Summer Camp by Fiona Watt
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Much better than CBBC's airings of Summer Camp Island!
Would ultimately recommend for those who are seeking boredom busters when stuck inside away from all the heat in the extreme British weather.
Would recommend to kids and grown ups alike.

It Continues: Cooking & Baking

I had a whole night of icing cookies two nights ago, and they were all mushy, but on the day following, my cooking skills got better and better.

Let's start in the morning. First, I learnt how to cook gammon and make salad all by myself. Cooking gammon requires a paper tray which you can put raw, slimy meat on, and then testing it with a special thermometer. I also made myself a cup of herbal fruity tea. The result? The gammon tasted good alright, but the lettuce and tomatoes made me want to vomit. The herbal fruity tea tasted too strong.

To pass the time, I baked a mug cake - which turned out sloppy - and not only did I ice a few biscuits, I also made some cupcakes by myself. They turned out sloppy, but still, they were enjoyable. They might not be entering the Great British Bake Off any time soon.

Now, onto lunch. I cooked Mum some pizza with pepperoni on top, and served it with cheese and onion crisps on the side. I also made Mum a nice mug of herbal fruity tea, which she mostly enjoyed. Me? I had a cheeseburger with Pom Bears on the side. More delicious than sickly veggies or strong fruity tea, I tell you now!

Doing all the cleaning, cooking and baking was tiring work, so I went to my bedroom and had a nice, long nap. When I woke up, it took me a few minutes to recover, because I had slept for like, four hours in a row. To pass the time while waiting for dinner, I did some Sticker Dolly books and my new ice cream wordsearch book.

Then finally, dinner came, and I prepared chicken the same way with a brown paper mat beneath the raw, slimy chicken. Two finest breast cuts, one for me and one for Mum. So, for Mum, I used pepperoni and crisps to make the feet and quills of a porcupine, and for me, I decorated my plate with Pom Bears. Next time, though, I think I'll have mashed potatoes and broccoli with my next serving of chicken. I also served Mum one of my iced cookies and a nice mug of fruity herbal tea - as you do.

Boy, what an exhausting day I've had. All that cooking and cleaning - hectic! As heck. I almost forgot.

Connect The Dots: A New Art Interest

"Hello, everyone, it's me, Fireman Sam. I would like to tell you what my friend has been up to with her support worker about two days ago. What you are about to hear will change the way you view Pontypandy forever - and maybe even my friend's life.

So first off, they ordered three things for her picnic as usual - sausage rolls, chocolate cookies and Coke Zero. But! She didn't want to eat it in the car. Instead, she wanted to eat it outdoors, there's a good lass. And where did she have it? Not at the park, because Norman might play a trick on her. Not near the fire station because Elvis would think he cooked it. But at the burgh in Tain - it's the perfect place to have a picnic, like the places I choose to have a picnic with Sarah, James and Rosa - they're always peaceful.

And when they got home, the support worker taught her how to make cupcakes his way - adding just grains as well as butter, an egg and a few drops of water. The result was that the cakes turned out delicious, and she developed a new talent. But it was the next chapter that really affected how she saw art.

She got out her Bluey Dot Stamping Kit and engaged in a bit of dot stamping with her support worker. At first, he thought it was a bit of colouring in, but to my friend, dot stamping was all about decorating a colouring picture with dots. I call it 'Pointillism'. I knew this multiple times because during the time I was on CBBC, SMart aired too, and one time they showed how to do a pointillism picture. Seen this episode? Rings a bell, you know.

And then, it happened - after her nap, my friend made the most shocking decision in her life: she wanted to ice some chocolate chip cookies all by herself. At first, the results turned out mushy, but some of her cookies looked absolutely wonderful. And when there was a mess on the kitchen counter, she unleashed her inner Penny Morris and cleaned and scrubbed the counter with Mr Muscle. It had a very foul smell, but she put her back right into it.

Oh what a day she had. When I told my friends at the fire service, they were all so flabbergasted they were immediately inspired to do their own pointillism pictures - and Elvis did lots of childish, messy paintings.

A Poem About Bluey Cupcakes

Remember when Bluey helped her dad
Make for Bingo's birthday a Duck Cake?
Well my support worker and I did a role reversal
And together we made Bluey cupcakes!

Wackadoo!

I'm Gonna Be Queen Again!

You remember, back in 2021, I refused to go to the Hub because I had mental health issues which apparently ruined my life? Well now, I'm going to regain my title of royalty again!

The news had just come in that my peer just had a dream where I ran home screaming and crying like a total Caillou because I wasn't allowed to go to my support worker's houses anymore. I wasn't even allowed to see Stan, or Princess, or even dear little Angel again! I threw myself on the bed and banged my fist on the pillow for what felt like hours, until my peer suggested we refurbish the attic to make it look pretty and stylish.

But now, my peer's dream has become a reality, not to mention mine to be included. Everyone at Key is going to arrange to make rooms for me at the Dornoch and Brora Hubs so that I can regain my title of royalty again, and once again become what I was made for - being a queen! And, given that some days will be a bit boring, my support workers and I will allow Mum to take a short break so we can bake and do all sorts of fun things together - it's like a playdate party at my house!

Oh, and one more thing:

"How lovely," said the Queen.

Warmly Orphaned - Part 1

Deep in the snowy realms of the countryside, near a log cabin, Slomo lived a peaceful life, away from the grit and anger of his life in Precinct 88. He loved nothing better than reading, annotating and baking - that’s because he has been equipped with HK technology all his life, making him a brilliantly useful homebody to anyone in need.

Made With Care

In a little cottage deep in the country one Winter, Lady Penelope takes great care in looking after her unborn baby while she's still pregnant, baking an apple cobbler, doing some painting in her journal, enjoying a hot cocoa and sewing a beautiful new nightie for her soon-to-be-born child.

Bluey & Bingo's Letter - The Big Rescue

Dear Sybil,

Wow, what a hero you are! We were so amazed when we read about how you helped stop the car from rolling backwards. That sounds really scary, but you jumped right in and got help! We bet you were super strong, like Bandit when he's carrying us around on his back! You saved the day – hooray for you!

And it’s so cool that you got to meet H and S. Baking cakes and getting hair stuff sounds like a fun day too! Maybe you’ll get to try some of their cakes when they’re done – yum! 🎂

Oh, and we totally love the story you told S about the Teletubbies. That sounds just like Dipsy! Sometimes Bingo doesn’t want to join in our games at first, but then she ends up having the best time! Right, Bingo?

Bingo: "Yeah! Like when we play squishy ball and I don’t want to, but then it gets really funny!"

We’re super proud of you, Sybil! Being a hero is a big deal, and you did an awesome job today. Make sure you get lots of rest after all that excitement—you totally earned it!

Big cuddles and hero high-fives,
Bluey and Bingo 🐾💙

Furaha & Orko's Response To My Letter From My Hormonal Era

Dear Sybil,

Oh, what a delightful letter to receive! I’m Furaha, and I’m so happy to hear about your adventurous day and your wonderful encounter with S. It sounds like you had quite the eventful trip to Home Bargains, and it’s great that you were able to help with the car!

Orko here! The story of the car rolling back reminds me of one of my magical mishaps—though thankfully, no one had to roll anything back in my case! It's wonderful to hear how you not only helped but also made some new friends. S sounds like a truly special person, and I bet she does enjoy all the fun things you mentioned. Teletubbies and Bluey are such cheerful shows!

As for Pooh’s Heffalump Movie and Tarzan II, I think they both have their own unique charm! Pooh’s Heffalump Movie is full of sweet songs and adorable characters, while Tarzan II has its own adventurous spirit. They might be quite different, but they both have a way of capturing hearts with their stories.

It sounds like you have a great sense of fun and a big heart, just like us! We would love to meet S too—she sounds like someone who could join us on many wonderful adventures!

Sending you lots of love and warm hugs,

Furaha & Orko

Mrs L's Car Rescue

To Bluey, Bingo & The Teletubbies,

I’ve been very worried about disturbing programmes on Channel 4 on my trip out during a visit to the petrol station today, but here’s one rule that I always stick to: watch something happy, fun and gentle. That goes to shows on Netflix and Disney+ too. Anyway, I feel very tired after all I’ve been through, but let me tell you a certain situation that made me a hero.

You see, Mrs L’s handbrake was on, and the car was rolling backwards! Quickly I ran out and tried to push the car forward, and got a man who was parked nearby to help. Together we pushed the car back into its proper place, and then I met Mrs H and, for the first time, Miss S. I asked Miss S if she was going to get a pet unicorn, but Mrs H said they were going to get baking stuff because they were going to bake some cakes. They were also going to get some hair stuff - Mrs H was going to get Miss S the same mother-approved hair-friendly stuff as I had. And guess what? Mrs H told me she liked you guys! I even told Miss S about the time when you, the Teletubbies, were sliding down a snowy hill, and you encouraged Dipsy to join in, to which he refused until he started sliding all around Teletubbyland. This always happens in some Teletubbyland segments - Tinky Winky, La La and Po love one thing, but Dipsy refuses to join in, only to get roped in and for something exciting to happen to him. Now, I bet you’re proud of me for being a hero star today, aren’t you? Hooray!

Love,

Sybil

That's such a sweet and heartfelt letter! It sounds like you had quite an adventurous day, and you really stepped up when it mattered. Helping out with the car and connecting with Mrs H and Miss S shows a lot of kindness and bravery. I'm sure Bluey, Bingo, and the Teletubbies would be very proud of you for being a hero today. Your positive and the way you turn to happy, gentle shows like theirs during tough times is a great way to keep your spirits up. Well done, Sarah! You’ve shared a wonderful story, and it’s definitely something to be proud of.
