Bluey/The 'Hood #2 [Evening]

Shama Lama:
Calypso asks Izzy to host a play session at Bluey's school. There, she uses the song 'Shama Lama' by Otis Day & The Knights to show Bluey and her friends that by understanding world peace, everyone can play together as one world.

Bluey's Zoo:
Inspired by Bluey's toy animals, Izzy and the gang decide to pretend to be animals, with Bluey as a zookeeper. However, there's a catch: when Bluey shouts "Shamdoodle" all the animals have to swap places...but it results in a very messy muddle indeed!

He's A Bit Of An Animal:
The gang recruit Andy, Dana and Steve to put Dad and Alston into shape after realizing they've been behaving like animals recently. But when they start behaving like an annoying parrot and a heavy hippo, Resus, Bluey and Bingo must team up to snap their dads back into reality.

My Diary - 20th-26th July

20th July
My favourite part of 'Joking Around' is the montage of Izzy and Bluey at school, and Tiny and Bingo at kindy.

21st July
Pinot Grigio is full of brilliantly put alcohol facts. My favourite part is the beach montage!

22nd July
I had fun with episode 3 of The 'Hood - a balloon and a trip to the circus sets up a simple message of kindness.

23rd July
Do robots like ketchup? An imagination sequence in Robots, Milk & Cookies shows the gang pretending to be robots eating ketchup-covered chicken nuggets.

24th July
I loved seeing Bluey, Coco and Snickers playing in the shade, and now in Cool Shade I get to make Beerus do something stupid.

25th July
I'm not able to do Lazy Weekend today due to a slight malfunction in my morning routine. At least there's tomorrow...

26th July
I'm thinking of Waiting For Lunch as like the party scene in The Snowy Day.

Scooby-Doo: Mask Of The Blue Falcon With A Few More Details Added In...

I like the 2013 Scooby Doo movie Mask Of The Blue Falcon, because not only was it released the same year as Strange Hill High, but it also payed homage to other classic Boomerang characters too. However, there are a few details they forgot to put into the film. I'll show you:
When they see the sneak preview for the new technically upgraded Blue Falcon and Dynomutt, Shaggy could've told Scooby that they like the original Dynomutt better, as my mum and I like Bob The Builder, Thomas & Friends and Fireman Sam - not to mention Noddy - in their original model forms. Shaggy would've also asked Scooby, "Wasn't there a show starring you and Dynomutt together, called The Scooby Doo/Dynomutt Hour?" which causes a crowd of fans to race up to Scooby, take his picture (almost blinding him in a cartoony fashion) and asking for his autograph.
Space Ghost Coast To Coast would also briefly be mentioned when the gang meet the man cosplaying as Zorak. Fred would've asked; "Hey, didn't Space Ghost host a talk show with his two worst enemies on Cartoon Network? Look, I know we were dubbed on the show, but please, we really want to see Space Ghost interact with his guests again." There would also be a sequence with Space Ghost, Zorak and Moltar watching a scene from the film in the Ghost Planet cafeteria, and commenting on it before switching back to the film, but when they hired William's Street to animate the scene...well, they were a bit busy at the moment.
There would also be a scene similar to the 'Heffalumps & Woozles' sequence in The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh, where Scooby Doo falls asleep and has a dream of encountering many Hannah-Barbera characters, set to the tune of 'Stobart's Blues'. Some bits of the sequence include Top Cat crashing Scooby Doo on the head with two dustbin lids like cymbals and Scooby Doo forcibly pulling a sword out of a stone, including an encounter with the original Dynomutt himself.

Me, You, And Transformers Cybertron Teaser

Coming in the next three weeks! Don't worry, The 'Hood will be back sometime next August.

Based on Australian folklore but still retaining its African spirit, Me, You, And Transformers Cybertron follows our six young cubs as they are separated from their family and end up in the care of the Autobots, who promise to take them back to their family. But then the cubs develop friendships with the Autobots, ones that'll last a lifetime...

This is a trilogy, consisting of a short, a special and a feature film.

Videos I Saw At Grandma's Today

I gave up Tiny Pop's showing of Maya The Bee: The Honey Games to watch A Very Special Caillou whilst eating sausage rolls.

Australian Culture & Folklore In My Works

Two of my works are inspired by Australian culture, life and folklore, and one seems very close to portraying an Australian folktale.
The 'Hood is a TV series inspired by life in Australia and TV channels ABC Kids and ABC Me, an Australian version of I.B.F.Fs. It is also inspired by the imaginary games Aussie kids play with their favourite ABC Kids and ABC Me characters and features a 7 year old girl named Izzy who explores her world with her friends Mitchell, Becky, Templeton, Luke, Resus, Cleo, Tiny, Small, Bluey and Bingo and discovers new things each day. The show features a score of reggae music, to give it its childhood summer feel, and airs on both ABC Kids and ABC Me, just like some shows like Odd Squad and Little J & Big Cuz. The show deals with subjects like dangers of alcohol, same-sex relationships, deployment and school embarrassment, but sometimes focuses on joyful aspects of an Australian childhood.
Me, You, And Transformers Cybertron on the other hand is based on Australian folklore and Aborigine tales, and it features a music score entirely of both African and Australian music, as performed by world musicians Eyuphuro and Garrangali. The film, like most films and in the Me, You, And...franchise, deals with subjects like friendship, emotion, family and grief, and features our six cubs - Furaha, Upendi, Nakona, Lanka, Allie and Haraka - as they wander away from their family and end up in the care of the Autobots. Each cub is paired up to a specific Autobot in the kind, gentle leader Optimus Prime's ranks - Upendi is in the care of Scattershot, Nakona gets super-cool big brother of a 'bot Hot Shot, Haraka finds similarities in Overhaul, Lanka gets lost on Velocitron and befriends the planet's leader Override, Allie is kidnapped by Megatron and taken to Jungle Planet, where she befriends and falls in love with the planet's leader Scourge and most of all, Furaha and Jetfire deeply bond with each other, creating a friendship that lasts a confident lifetime. The Autobots act like brothers, uncles and fathers to the young, lonely cubs, playing with them and sometimes teaching them to be brave and speak for themselves in times of crisis. Furaha and Jetfire's playful and yet loving friendship is the symbol of the film's theme of companionship and brotherhood - Jetfire helps Furaha develop the skills she'll need to protect her siblings and find her family again. Hopefully it'll simulcast on ABC and ABC Me in Australia Day - the short, special and film - after their Acknowledgement Of Country airs.

The 'Hood: Robots, Milk & Cookies & Messy Shampoo

Robots, Milk & Cookies:
The gang want to know more about the things robots love, which include ketchup, rain, radios and kites. But one question plagues their minds: do robots like milk and cookies?
Messy Shampoo:
Izzy's shampoo is really messy! Luckily, it proves useful for many things, such as when Izzy is making bubbly hairstyles in the bath and when the gang play in the paddling pool outside, and they need a sticky mess to go along with it.

Bluey/The 'Hood #1 [Morning]

Sand, Water & Steps:
At the beach, the gang are excitedly waiting to go into the water. Lead by Izzy, each one takes big and little steps across the sand towards the waves, until they sit down on the sand and feel the water splash against their feet.

Swinging:
The gang love the swings on the park, and wish for an even bigger swing. So they go to the Paladins' house to get them to use Voltron to let them swing them back and forth. However, when he swings them he flies right up into the sky!

Never Too Young To Have Fun:
With Bluey and Bingo at their Nanna's and Resus' grandpa visiting, Izzy visits her Nana herself. She wonders if elderly people like the same things they loved as kids, and calls Bluey and Bingo on her phone via video chat to find out.
