I am so silly! All I had to do was change the month on the MeTV Toons schedule calendar, and there I am: in September! What a silly fool I am! So here's how the adventures during Thunderbirds and Joe 90's run on MeTV Toons might work out:
All I know is that the Thunderbirds episode 'Pit Of Peril' contains signs of radiation poisoning, one you might expect from sudden nuclear war - or if you're riding the Sidewinder - but I do know that there are real, wild, primitive animals in the beginning. Do you know what I would like to imagine when I see this? You don't? Okay, here we go: Brains, Alan and Tin Tin love to roam wild and free as wild men and women (and a girl) in Africa, interacting with all those cuddly animals and feeling safe in the palm of nature's hand. We are snuggled up comfortably in a soft treetop nest, sleeping together in a huge pile. We swim in the lake, cool and refreshing and clean, splashing each other and laughing loudly and happily. It's such a paradisaical life, you may never want to leave this fantasy for good and always.
And as for The Perils Of Penelope....I can't even begin to talk about it. It's the saddest Thunderbirds episode I've ever seen, and it's all because of my beautiful mummy, Lady Penelope, being tied to a railroad track unless the scientist reveals genetic experiments. Sigh. I'd like to imagine I'd sit on the balcony of the mansion, crying, then Lady Penelope comes to comfort me. Delighted and upset, I run into her arms, crying and saying that this monorail incident which involved the help of International Rescue was my fault, but Lady Penelope lifted me in a soft hug and told me it wasn't anybody's fault, not even mine. It could happen to anyone, but Gordon did threaten Penelope after the rescue to kill me if he didn't watch out. I was more than shocked, but Lady Penelope treated me with a mug of her favourite cocoa and then tucked me into bed, snuggling to sleep beside me.
Then there's Terror In New York City. A pretty timeless episode if you were to see it in theatres, but to me, it means more. So. Much. More. You've probably seen the cut down US dub of the episode on Youtube, featuring the versions of the characters who swear and do nasty criminal things, but since this episode is a simple, basic plot, it's a time for Alan, Tin Tin and I to snuggle together on the sofa and feel safe. We'd pile up on top of one another, snuggled safe beside each other, and fall asleep in no time at all. All Jeff Tracy can hear, as he watches proudly, is our snores and snuffles as we sleep peacefully, knowing International Rescue is there to care for me. I am the baby of the organisation, am I right?
