30 (Late) Years Of Fanderson

In 2011, Fanderson hosted a 30th birthday party - complete with a cake! Where's the cake? Unfortunately, some Anderson characters attended too. Let's take a closer look, Bluey's The Sign-style.

I was there when everyone came and attended the party. The group photos were taken first, first of everyone, then of each group of characters, show by show. Then we went to the tent to enjoy some food and drink. Let's just say Yung-Star got drunk on too much of Marina's 'Seaweed Wine'. Lady Penelope was there too, and so was everyone I knew - Parker, Brains, Alan, Tin Tin, Jeff Tracy, Marina, Oink, Titan, Captain Scarlet, plus everyone I knew was there.

Of course, we had to have the cake without ceremony, and everyone had a piece - even Zoonie, who dug into a hunk of the cake! That cake tasted of vanilla and buttercream - yummy! Then all night long we played party games and danced to loud, upbeat music until the next morning, when we were too pooped out to even dance a lot more, and we were all asleep. And Commander Shore? Let's just say that throughout the party he acted as drunk as Uncle Stripe was.

Also on this day, Torchy became best friends with Harold Hare after agreeing to appear in his 'Own Paper'. The Liverpool Echo reported on the forthcoming Terrahawks series, and Fanderson hosted a one day celebration of its own creation...

...THREE YEARS AGO?! Oh god, I - hang on, hang on....sssssshhhhh, I must be very quiet. I mustn't wake everyone up now.

Sea Of Serenity

Marina and Oink love to bond together as a mother and adopted son. Marina is so fair, kind and gentle, that you can easily compare her to Lady Penelope - or so she thinks. Tonight on MeTV Toons, there's going to be more Supercar, Fireball XL5 and Stingray, which means there's a serene side to Marina's undersea excursions without the assistance of the Stingray crew.

She and Oink love to sneak out at night and dive into the ocean water, swimming deep under the sea and discovering new aquatic life and happiness which are hidden in the depths. All the while, Marina would try very hard not to get that 'Aqua Marina' song stuck in her head, because if she hears that god-awful song again, she'd probably find herself physically assaulting Troy and Phones whenever she feels up for it.

Anyway, Marina loves to swim with seahorses and look for buried treasure in sunken ships. It's Marina's duty to collect whatever's buried in the sea and bring it back up to Marineville to place them on the shelves in her room. Commander Shore would often ask, "What is this junk?" to which Atlanta would explain that she's 'unleashing her inner Ariel', as Marina watches The Little Mermaid quite a lot.

Anyway, when Marina and Oink emerge from the depths, they like to splash each other in the darkness of the sea to their hearts' content. Marina is too silent to laugh, but Oink grunts with laughter as Marina splashes him senseless. Marina feels free in the water, away from the clutches of Titan (if he feels up to capturing her) and happily finding treasures wherever she goes.

However, it's no surprise to learn that if you go onto the beach the next morning, you'd be shocked to see what looks like a dead mermaid with a sleepy baby seal by her side! But no need to worry, it's only Marina fast asleep on the soft sand with Oink by her side.

Oh, what would Troy Tempest think?

I Love Tin Tin

It was during one of my sleepovers on Tracy Island that Tin Tin and I spent time together in the lounge, bonding and showing our sisterly love for one another. Noticing the book 'Guess How Much I Love You' on the shelf, I decided to ask Tin Tin: "Guess how much I love you?"

The love measuring wasn't at all a math lesson, but a lesson in comfort and caring. What first started as measuring how big our love is turned into a walk out onto the beach at night, with Tin Tin and me saying things like "I love you from your head to your toes" or "I love you the same height as a palm tree". Sometimes, we would tickle each other and play together with each saying that we love each other.

And then, when it approached midnight, I was getting a bit tired, so I whispered to Tin Tin as she held me in her arms, "I love you all the way up to the moon." Tin Tin lay down and relaxed on her deckchair and kissed me on the forehead. She said the same words Big Nutbrown Hare said at the end of the book:

"I love you all the way to the moon - and back."

Let's hope Alan hears this. He loves me too.

Brains' Cold

One time, Alan, Tin Tin and I were looking forward to playing a new board game Alan got with all the money from his piggy bank, when Brains came in sniffling and sneezing. He was down with a nasty cold, so I decided to pretend to be a nurse. With the help of the other, kinder residents, I nourished Brains with food, medicine and water, and even gave him his favourite wolf teddy, Grey Brother, to go to sleep with - because as we all know, Brains can't get to sleep without Grey Brother.

For the rest of the day until Lady Penelope came to take me home, Alan, Tin Tin and I were sitting quietly, listening to soft, gentle music and relaxing.
