The Horse, The Elephant & The Aeroplane
Christmas has just passed, but here's an archival recording of an episode of The Magic Roundabout which envisions all our thoughts of Christmas - toys in our bedrooms, horses, elephants and planes. Which reminds me: I've thought up a story called 'The Horse, The Elephant & The Aeroplane'. I need to write four story ideas down when I have a bedroom break when Mum and Grandma watch the news.
Two Homes
Ever since Grandma came out of hospital, I'm living life like in these children's books which gently explain divorce, like this one above, and 'Two Homes' by Claire Masurel which sees a young boy talking about how much he adores living in two homes with divorced parents. Now I will write stories differently between noisy and quiet, watch my favourite shows between shrill and tranquil, and finally find some peace and humble homeliness like I wished, away from noisy kids, dogs and lawnmowers. But I swear, if I EVER hear one of these noises again and they get stuck in my head, I'll be sorry I was born!
I.B.F.Fs In: Bin Night: Bluey & Bingo's Story
You Aussie people know that the Bluey episode 'Bin Night' takes place outside the Heelers' house over a few weeks - well, what happened at Bluey's karate class and at Kindy? I'm making up a story that tells a different side to the episode as part of my I.B.F.Fs series. In it, Bluey tries to improve herself at karate class with the help of her friends Chloe, Mackenzie and her karate teacher's daughter Pippa, while Bingo and her friends help deal with Banjo's troublesome ways at Kindy, but see into her problems when she gets sent to the time out corner. Bluey quickly befriends Pippa the same way she befriended Winnie in 'Cafe' and Jean-Luc in 'Camping', while Bingo sees into Banjo's bullying and tantrums and, with the help of her parents, teacher and friends, manages to change the new kid's attitude.
It'll replace I.B.F.Fs: Ways To Say I Love You on Tuesday next week. Someday, I'll turn it into a picture book, with Ludo Studios doing the illustrations. Just wait and see!
Make A Dog Loves Night Nightlight
Due to a major mishap, I'm not able to watch Dog Loves Night on CBeebies, but to make up for it, I'll show you how to make a nightlight themed around this episode and everything in it - the moon, bats, choir-singing cats, shopping foxes and human builders who work at night.
Scooby Doo: Moon Monster Madness Writing Prompt
Imagine there is an extra character in this film: Scooby Doo's girlfriend, Mimi, who resides with a different Mystery Inc gang in their pink van. She writes letters to Scooby, and when he goes to the moon with his human friends, Mimi has to find out how to send her letters to her one true love in space. How does she do that? What way does she find to send her letters up into space? Can you make her speak in the same dialect as Scooby? Write a story in the form of letters to Scooby about Mimi's attempt to find a way to communicate with him, even if he's far up in the sky.
Make Photo Albums & Baby Books Based Around My Favourite TV Characters
By now you might've known Kipper has had a baby book, but you can make a photo album themed around each episode of his show...or you can make a baby milestone book and a photo album themed around my other favourite shows, such as Bluey, Strange Hill High, Scream Street, Love Monster, My Pride, Dog Loves Books, My Pride and my latest favourite, Simon, which you can now watch on Tiny Pop. Learn how to make them here:
Activity Time - Scream Street, Simon, Scooby Doo & Tom & Jerry (V2 Of Activities Of The Week)
Now it's time to do some activities themed around what's coming up next week! Remember, try these activities at home. Try these at a friend's house. Try these if you're excited for Scream Street and Simon! First, for weekend boredom busting, try these activities based around the Scooby Doo and Tom & Jerry movies airing.
- Make a variety of dragon crafts for Tom & Jerry & The Lost Dragon.
- Make magical moon dough for Scooby Doo: Moon Monster Madness, even though I prefer Scooby Doo: Frankencreepy to this.
- Engage in beach-themed sensory play for Scooby Doo & The Beach Beastie.
Next comes my all time favourite Scream Street, with loads of ideas for things themed around next week's episodes, and the show's return too!
- Make a DIY spellbook inspired by 'Scream Clean'.
- Learn how to draw a haunted house for Luke, Resus and Cleo to explore, for 'Haunted House'.
- Capture Luella's vanity and innocence with a flower petal potion, or go Eefa's route with real witch's brew, just in time for 'Lovestruck'.
- Take an online music class for 'Wolfgang', or make your own 'Which Do You Prefer' cards themed around anything from Scream Street to CBBC to Simon, because I prefer the original Wolfgang to The Return Of Wolfgang. Play this exciting online card game themed around what you prefer if you like!
- Engage in some fun songwriting activities for 'Resus Rocks'.
Now it's time to celebrate the release of Tiny Pop's new show, and my favourite personally, Simon, with these fun activities themed around these simple, short episodes starring Simon and his little brother Gaspard.
- For 'Stars For Mummy', you could make this star slime.
- I always think of pirates when I think about 'I'm Not Afraid Of The Storm', so a good example would be those fun pirate crafts.
- Set up a pretend pet grooming salon for 'Bath Time, Elvis'.
- Engage in some farm-themed sensory play for 'Let's Go To The Farm'.
- Make a fizzing hidden ocean world with the beach theme of 'You Did It On Purpose, Gaspard'.
- Make an ocean themed sensory bin because the Simon episode 'What A Swimming Lesson' is based around water.
- Try these skateboarding activities for 'I Saw It First'.
- Host a sports day or a beach day at home with 'The Sack Race'.
- Try some running races at home for 'The Fastest T-Shirt In The World'.
- Sing along to this song about sharing sweets for 'A Trip In The Breakdown Truck', because I usually like to think of it as an excuse to think about sharing sweets you spend with your pocket money.
- Try this Old MacDonald's Farm Sensory Bin for 'I Want To Ride On The Tractor'.
- Play with shadows for 'Lullaby For Simon', then do some star painting.
- Do magical crafts themed around butterflies and unicorns for 'Lou's Birthday'.
- Have fun with these exciting party crafts for 'The Super Duper Big Surprise'.
- Try out this handprint hedgehog for 'Prickly The Hedgehog'.
- Go on a sand and sea animals treasure hunt for 'That's Our Treasure Chest'.
- I was looking for monster science experiments for 'There's No Such Thing As Monsters' and I found this experiment for 'elephant toothpaste'....why not?
- Try these Winter sensory play activities for 'Milou In The Snow'.
- For 'The Mega Water Slide', try these water sensory play activities.
- Make this treasure map to go on your very own adventure for 'The School Trip'.
I'll bring you more activities each week and day throughout 2021, so stay tuned!

I.B.F.Fs/Simon Story Ideas
The Long-Eared Hero:
When out shopping, Simon decides to wear his Super Rabbit costume. Inspired by this, Bluey and Bingo decide to wear their superhero costumes to the supermarket too. Soon, going to the shops in superhero costumes becomes the latest craze.
Go Where You Wanna Go:
Simon introduces me to his and Gaspard's favourite song, and this inspires me to set up a dance party in my own backyard.
Works Of Art:
It's the annual Ritual Of The Butterflies, and everyone is making their own scented works of art to appease the butterflies that live in the rainforest. Nothing is the judge this year, but worries the butterflies won't like her art because it's always clumsy.
Sea Dreams:
After a stressful day at school, Luke, Resus, Cleo and I go to the beach and fall asleep, dreaming of swimming in the ocean completely naked (except Cleo because she wears bandages), facing turbulent waves, gentle bubbles and favourite underwater hiding places.
