Remember The Supermarionation Era

  • Pick five of your favorite Supermarionation shows in (roughly) the order they came out. A classic line-up is:

    • Thumb: Stingray (1964)

    • Index: Thunderbirds (1965)

    • Middle: Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons (1967)

    • Ring: Joe 90 (1968)

    • Pinky: The Secret Service (1969)

  • Create tiny “puppets” for each show. You could draw simple faces on paper tabs, color in a little puppet silhouette, or even use stickers or washi tape—anything you like!

  • Stick them on the tips of your five fingers. Now your hand is a miniature Supermarionation cast.

  • Practice your “Super-hand” show order by wiggling each finger and saying its name out loud:

    “Stingray… Thunderbirds… Captain Scarlet… Joe 90… The Secret Service!”

  • Turn it into a daily game. Each morning, let your hand tell you what comes next in the Supermarionation era. Soon you’ll have them all memorized—and it feels like playtime! 🎉

  • Marina's Skin: A Stingray Skincare Routine

    🌊 1. “Sea Breeze” Cleanse

    • What you need: A soft washcloth, lukewarm water, and a drop of gentle, unscented baby or children’s cleanser.

    • How to do it:

      1. Wet the washcloth in lukewarm water.

      2. Squeeze out the excess so it’s damp, not dripping.

      3. Add one tiny dot of cleanser.

      4. Gently wipe your face in soft circles—just like Marina gliding through calm waters.

      5. Rinse the cloth, wipe off any leftover suds, then pat your skin dry with a fluffy towel.

    🧜‍♀️ 2. “Mermaid Mist” Refresher

    • What you need: A small spray bottle, cucumber slices (or just cucumber juice), and cooled chamomile tea.

    • How to do it:

      1. Brew one chamomile tea bag in a cup of hot water; let it cool completely in the fridge (about 15–20 min).

      2. Fill your spray bottle halfway with the cooled tea, top up with fresh cucumber juice (or very thinly blended cucumber water).

      3. Close and shake gently.

      4. Mist your face from about arm’s-length, imagining Marina’s gentle sea spray caressing you. (If you don’t have a spray bottle, just dip cotton pads and gently press onto your cheeks.)

    🐚 3. “Shell-Soft” Eye Soother

    • What you need: Two cool cucumber slices.

    • How to do it:

      1. Cut two thin slices of cucumber (ask an adult for help!).

      2. Lay back, place them over your eyes, and breathe deeply for 5 minutes.

      3. Feel the cool, soothing clam-like calm wash over you—just like drifting under the waves with Marina.

    🐬 4. “Dolphin-Smooth” Moisturizer

    • What you need: A pea-sized dab of pure aloe vera gel (or a mild unscented kids’ moisturizer).

    • How to do it:

      1. Warm the gel between your fingertips.

      2. Gently press it onto your cheeks, forehead, and chin—no rubbing!

      3. Imagine Marina’s skin, fresh and sea-silky, as you smooth it in.

    💤 5. Nighttime “Coral Calm” Wind-Down

    • What you need: A cozy pillow and your favorite bedtime story.

    • How to do it: After your mini-mermaid spa, curl up and read or listen to a calm story. Let your skin (and your mind!) drift into a peaceful sea of dreams. 🌙

    Tips & Love Notes ❤️

    • Always ask a grown-up for help with cutting or mixing.

    • Keep everything extra clean—sea mermaids love sparkle, not germs!

    • You can do this routine once or twice a week, or anytime you need a little splash of calm.

    It's A Rainbow Relay Race!

  • Pick your soundtrack. Choose a favourite upbeat tune (maybe something bubbly like the “Bluey” theme!).

  • Assign “teams.” Clothes become your rainbow squads: reds go in the “Fire Truck Team,” blues in the “Ocean Team,” yellows in the “Sunshine Squad,” and so on.

  • Race the clock. Set a 3-minute timer. When the music starts, shout out one team (e.g. “Fire Truck Team, go!”), and both you and Mum grab only red items as fast as you can. When the timer dings, switch to the next colour.

  • Score stickers. At the end of each round, award yourself a sticker or draw a little smiley on a chart for every item you fold or hang correctly.

  • Celebrate your victory. When all the colours have raced, celebrate with a silly dance or a fun high-five routine. You’ll both feel proud of your teamwork—and the laundry will be done in no time!

  • Make Seed Starter Pots Out Of Highlighter Packs

  • Give them a bath
Rinse out each empty highlighter tube with warm, soapy water until it’s squeaky-clean. Let it dry completely.

  • Cozy up with soil
Fill the tube about ¾ full with potting soil. Gently tap it on the table to settle the dirt.

  • Plant a tiny seed
Tuck a small seed into the soil—sunflower, basil, or your favourite flower—then cover it with a thin layer of soil.

  • Water with care
Use a dropper or small spoon to give your seed just a little sip of water—too much can squish the soil!

  • Find a sunny spot
Place your new “green capsule” on a windowsill where it can soak up gentle sunlight.

  • Watch the magic happen
In a few days, you’ll see your sprout peek out. When it grows big enough, you can carefully plant it in a bigger pot or in the garden—highlighter tube and all!

  • Make a rainy day Sunshine Jar!

    What you need:

    • An empty jar (or any small container)

    • A handful of colorful paper scraps (or post-its)

    • A pen or crayons

    • Stickers or ribbons for decorating

    How to make it:

    1. Decorate the jar: Wrap a ribbon around the rim, stick on a few cheerful stickers, or draw little suns and hearts on the glass. Make it bright and happy—just like your smile!

    2. Write sunshine notes: On each paper scrap, write (or draw) something that makes you and your mum happy together. Examples:

      • “Remember our tickle-giggle fights?”

      • “You bake the yummiest cookies!”

      • A tiny heart or rainbow drawing

    3. Fill it up: Fold each note and pop it into the jar until it’s full of sunshine.

    4. Share on a rainy day: When the raindrops tap at the window, present the jar to your mum and say, “Whenever you feel gloomy, pull out a note and remember how much I love you!”

    Why it works:

    • Brightens her mood: Pulling out a sweet memory or compliment is like catching a little ray of sunshine.

    • Keeps you connected: Every time she reads a note, she’ll think of you—and that makes both of you smile.

    • Easy and fun: Making it together (or surprising her with it) turns a dull, wet day into a warm, loving moment.

A Hot Day Remedy: The Magic Scarf!

    Cool-Down “Magic” Scarf 🧣❄️

    1. Grab a light cotton or microfiber scarf (or even a clean, thin tea towel).

    2. Wet it thoroughly under cold running water, then give it a gentle squeeze so it’s damp but not dripping.

    3. Fold it or roll it into a neat band.

    4. Pop it into a zip-top bag (or plastic sandwich bag) and tuck it in the freezer for about 15–20 minutes.

    5. Slip it on! Wrap the cooled scarf around your neck or tie it like a headband. As the fabric warms up to your body temperature, it will gently release coolness, helping you feel refreshed without any batteries or plugs.

    Why it works:

    • Damp fabric draws heat away from your skin as the water evaporates.

    • Freezing it gives you an extra chill boost for a little while—just like a mini ice pack!

    • It’s soft, simple, and safe, so you can re-freeze and reuse it all afternoon.

Make A Fairy House Out Of A Coke Bottle

    What you’ll need

    • 1 clean, empty plastic Coke bottle (any size)

    • A pair of safety scissors (ask an adult for help!)

    • Non-toxic acrylic paint or water-based spray paint

    • A small paintbrush or sponge

    • Natural decorations: twigs, pebbles, leaves, bits of moss

    • Craft glue or a hot-glue gun (grown-up use only)

    • Optional sparkles: glitter, tiny pom-poms, ribbon

    Step-by-Step Magic

    1. Give it a bath
Rinse out your bottle really well so it’s squeaky-clean—no sticky soda left behind! This helps paint stick and keeps fairies happy.

    2. Create the door and windows

      • With safety scissors, carefully cut a small arched “front door” on one side of the bottle (about as big as your palm).

      • Cut one or two little round or square “windows” above the door. (An adult can help make these cuts neat and safe.)

    3. Paint your castle!

      • Lay the bottle on its side or stand it up (with paper underneath).

      • Paint the entire outside in a soft, dreamy color—mint green, sky blue, pastel pink… whatever feels fairy-tastic!

      • Let it dry completely (about 20–30 minutes).

    4. Add natural flair

      • Glue small twigs around the base to look like fence posts.

      • Stick on pebbles to make a tiny path winding up to the door.

      • Tuck bits of moss or small leaves under the “roof” edge for a cozy, earthy look.

    5. Fairy-friendly details

      • Use ribbon or tiny pom-poms to make a little porch awning above the door.

      • Dab on a bit of glitter where sparkles might catch the morning dew (optional, but oh-so-magical!).

    6. Plant and invite

      • Find a quiet spot in your garden or a potted plant.

      • Gently press the fairy house into the soil so it stands firmly.

      • Whisper an invitation: “Fairy friends, come play and stay!” 🌸

    Why it’s a Wonderful Hack

    • Saves Plastic: Instead of tossing your bottle, you’re giving it a second life—one that brightens your garden.

    • Protects Nature: Fewer bottles in landfills means less pollution in our parks, rivers, and oceans.

    • Sparks Creativity: You’re building handy craft skills and telling stories with your fairy home.

    • Spreads Joy: Neighbors and garden visitors will smile at your tiny, colorful castle!

    Flower Breaths

  • Imagine a pretty flower in your mind—a rose, a daisy, any flower you love.

  • Hold your hands together in front of you like you’re cupping the flower.

  • Breathe in slowly through your nose, as if you’re smelling that flower. Count “1–2–3” in your head.

  • Breathe out gently through your mouth, like you’re blowing a soft petal off the bloom. Count “1–2–3–4.”

  • Repeat until you feel calmer—usually 5 flower breaths is plenty.

  • Make An Eco Adventure Pack!

    • Grab a small pencil case (you’ll find plenty of cute ones at Home Bargains!).

    • Fill it with:

      • A foldable tote (for ASDA shopping, so no plastic bags)

      • A colorful travel mug (to enjoy your hot chocolate in Tomach and avoid a paper cup)

      • A bamboo spork or small reusable cutlery set (for your picnic)

      • A cloth napkin (to wipe sticky fingers without paper towels)

      • A silicone snack bag (for any bits of fruit or treats)—no single-use bags needed!

How to use your Eco Adventure Pack:

    1. ASDA: Clip the foldable tote to your bag and skip the plastic carrier.

    2. Picnic: Pull out your bamboo spork, cloth napkin, and snack bag for zero-waste munching.

    3. Tomach hot chocolate: Hand over your travel mug—many cafés even give you a little discount for bringing your own!

    4. Invergordon liners: Turn picking up any stray bits of litter into a mini-game—stash them in your snack bag until you can recycle or bin them properly.

    5. Home Bargains: After you pick up your new notebooks and pens, tuck your Eco Adventure Pack into your fresh pencil case—ready for next time!

Create A UK Gold Archive Website!

  • Use a Google Sheet as your “story planner.”

    • In column A, list every date from 1 Jan 1992 up to 31 Dec 2009.

    • In column B, paste the link to that day’s full-broadcast video (hosted on YouTube, Vimeo, or your favorite video service).

  • Turn your sheet into a website with a no-code tool.

    • Sign up for a free Glide (or Softr) account.

    • Connect it to your Google Sheet—Glide will instantly transform each row into its own page.

    • Choose a Calendar or List layout so visitors can click on any date and “open the page” to watch that day’s shows.

  • Grow your archive like planting seeds.

    • Whenever you digitize a new broadcast day, just add a new row in your sheet.

    • Glide auto-updates your site—no extra typing or publishing steps required!

  • Add some friendly touches.

    • Give each page a cute cover image (a snap of the TV guide or a show poster).

    • Write a tiny “Today on UK Gold…” note at the top, like a bookmark in a story.

  • Dave Says...Make A Website!

  • Brainstorm on Sticky Notes (or in a Doc)

    • Grab a pack of colourful sticky notes (or open a simple Google Doc). Jot down one witty line per note—short, punchy, and with a bit of “Dave” cheekiness!

    • That way, you can shuffle and re-arrange your ideas until you find the perfect lineup of bumpers.

  • Use Your Site-Builder’s “Duplicate” Superpower

    • In most free builders (Wix, Google Sites, Neocities, etc.), you can right-click a text block and hit Duplicate.

    • Build one bumper block—style your fonts, colours, maybe throw in a little cartoon icon—then duplicate it as many times as you like.

    • Just click into each clone and swap the placeholder text for one of your sticky-note zingers. Boom—instant variations without re-styling every time.

  • Drag & Drop from Your Notes Window

    • If you’re using a Google Doc or plain text file for your banters, open it side-by-side with your site-builder.

    • Highlight a line, drag (or copy-paste) straight into the duplicated blocks. No extra formatting fuss—your builder keeps your style consistent!

  • Add a Cherry-On-Top: Emoji or Icon Flair

    • Most builders have a free icon library. Pick a tiny emoji or graphic that matches each joke’s vibe—maybe a winking face for a cheeky line, or a lightning bolt for a zippy pun.

    • It makes each bumper pop, and it’s super-simple to swap icons by dragging from the sidebar.

  • Preview & Share

    • Hit that “Preview” or “Mobile View” button to see how your bumpers flow.

    • Tweak any timing or spacing if needed, then publish and send your friends the link—prepare for the laughs!

  • The Great Supermarionation Sampler Notebook!

    What you’ll need

    • The front and back DVD covers (cardstock)

    • A stack of plain or lightly lined paper (cut to the same size as the covers)

    • A hole punch (or a sharp awl and a bit of adult help)

    • Some colorful ribbon, yarn, or strong string

    • Optional: stickers, markers, washi tape for decorating

    Steps

    1. Measure & Trim

      • Place your paper stack between the two covers and make sure everything lines up neatly.

      • If any paper sticks out, trim it so it matches the covers’ edges.

    2. Punch the Holes

      • Along one long side (the “spine”), mark two or three even spots (about 1 cm from the edge).

      • With help if you need it, punch holes through both covers and all the paper at once.

    3. Bind with Ribbon (or Yarn)

      • Cut a length of ribbon or yarn twice as long as the spine.

      • Thread it in and out of the holes, stitching the pages and covers together like a little “sewing” project.

      • Tie a secure knot or bow at the spine’s top or bottom—however you like!

    4. Decorate & Personalize

      • Add stickers, draw your favorite characters (maybe a tiny Stingray or Thunderbird!), or wrap washi tape around the edges.

      • Write your name and date on the first page to make it extra special.

    5. Use & Enjoy

      • Jot down your “super” ideas, draw mini-comics, or keep track of your recycling mission each week.

      • Every time you open your notebook, you’ll remember how you helped the planet by reusing and recycling!

Why it’s a win for our planet:

    • Reduces waste: Keeps those sturdy covers from becoming landfill.

    • Saves resources: Gives new life to existing materials instead of buying new notebooks.

    • Sparks creativity: Every time you decorate and use it, you’re a craft-wise eco-champion!

    Investing For An Art Studio

    1. Draw Your Dream Jar
Find a clear jar or a box and decorate it with a picture of the art studio you want—easels, paints, brushes and all. Every time you look at it, you’ll feel that happy spark of “I’m getting closer!”

    2. Split Your Allowance (or Pocket Money)
When you get any money—birthday gifts, chores allowance, lemonade-stand earnings—divide it into three parts:

      • Spend Jar for treats and small fun stuff

      • Save Jar for things you want soon

      • Invest Jar for your art studio dream
Knowing exactly where every coin goes makes saving feel like a game!

    3. Give Your “Invest Jar” a Little Superpower

      • Ask an adult to open a kids-friendly savings or Junior ISA account in the UK (these often pay a bit of interest). Each month, pop the contents of your Invest Jar into that account so it grows a little all on its own.

      • If you’re a bit older, try a micro-investing app with fractional shares—these let you buy tiny bits of real company stock with just a couple of pounds. Even that small amount can grow over months and years!

    4. Track Your Magic with Stickers
Cut out star-shaped stickers and stick one onto your jar or a chart each time you add money. When you reach 10 stars, celebrate with a little art treat—maybe a new sketchbook page or a special pencil.

    5. Watch Your Garden Grow
Thanks to compound interest (that’s when your savings earn a little extra, and then that extra earns even more), your Invest Jar becomes a tiny garden that keeps sprouting new coins. Over time—sometimes just a few months—you’ll see the pile grow bigger than you expect!

    💖 Why It Works:

    • You see progress every day (your decorated jar!)

    • You learn to make choices (spend vs. save vs. invest)

    • You get to enjoy little rewards (stickers, treats)

    • You let a savings account or micro-investing do the quiet work of growing your money

    This Is Our Neighbourhood

Create Your Own Neighbourhood Adventure Map

    1. Grab a sheet of paper (or a poster board) and draw the outline of your street, yard, or even just your house.

    2. Mark special spots:

      • The “Thunderbirds Launchpad” could be your front door.

      • The “Secret Treehouse” might be your favorite reading nook.

      • The “Picnic Grove” could be the kitchen table (for snack time!).

    3. Give each spot a fun icon—a lightning bolt for Lady Penelope’s quick thinking, a little car for Parker’s faithful wheels, a crescent moon for Lunar’s playful spirit.

    🔍 Turn Chores into Mini-Missions

    • When it’s time to tidy up toys, treat it like a “rescue” mission: “Parker needs help gathering all the teddy bears before lift-off!”

    • Folding clothes becomes “folding the bluey picnic blankets” for Lunar’s mums to use on their woodland walk.

    🤝 Practice “Lady Penelope Manners”

    • Greet each family member or friend with a gentle “Good day, darling!” or “Hello, mate!”—just like Lady Penelope would.

    • Offer a helping hand for small tasks: carrying cups, opening doors, or passing the crayons.

    💌 Send “Thunderbirds-Style” Thank-You Notes

    • Keep a little stack of colorful sticky notes or index cards.

    • Whenever someone does something kind—your mum making lunch, a friend sharing a toy—write a quick “Thank you for being amazing!” and leave it on their snack plate or backpack.

🌙 End the Day with a “Lunar’s Lullaby” Ritual

    • Before bedtime, share one thing you discovered or one kind thing you did that day.

    • Give a big hug (or an imaginary moonbeam hug) to each other, just like Lunar’s two mums do.

    Welcome To Lunar's Neighbourhood - Part 1

One fine Summer’s day, Parker drove me and Lady Penelope into the village of Devon so I could go on a playdate with my friend Lunar. However, I was very keen to know why Lunar lived in the country. “Will Lunar’s neighbourhood have many fun places to explore, mummy?” I asked my mum, Lady Penelope. “Well, darling, there are many fun surprises to be found in a neighbourhood. Wherever you look, there’s a new opportunity to take in, and a new surprise to find.”

At last, we reached Lunar’s cottage. “Now you be good for his two mums, okay?” said Lady Penelope. I nodded. Then I heard a voice call my name.

    No Cocomelon For You Tonight!

    1. Pick 4–5 calm, nature- or story-driven shorts that feature soft voices, gentle music and soothing colors. For example:

      • Puffin Rock (5 min episodes of a young puffin exploring a quiet island)

      • Kipper the Dog (5 min of sweet, slow-paced adventures)

      • Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood (5 min “feel-good” life lessons in a calm, musical way)

      • Moominvalley (7–10 min episodes set in a dreamy, pastel world)

      • Tumble Leaf (6 min of quiet, nature-inspired play and discovery)

    2. Line them up in advance on whatever device you use—Netflix, YouTube Kids playlists, or your TV’s “Favorites.” That way, there’s no frantic searching once sleepy heads hit the sofa.

    3. Dim the lights and set the volume low (just enough to hear the gentle narration). This tricks little brains into “bedtime mode” and helps melatonin flow.

    4. Limit screen-time to 15–20 minutes max. As soon as the last short ends, switch to a book, a lullaby or a snuggle routine. No “just one more” loop!

    Why It Works

    • Predictability: Knowing exactly what comes next (and how many shows) eases anxiety and avoids that “I want more!” race condition.

    • Low-stimulus: Soft art styles, nature sounds and slow storytelling keep the heart rate down and the mind from spinning.

    • Routine: Screens become a clear cue: “When Puffin Rock ends, it’s time for sleepy snuggles.”

    Bedtime With Warmly Orphaned

  • Build Your Mini “Cabin” Bed Fort

    • Drape a soft blanket over your pillows or a chair back to make a little “cabin” canopy.

    • Tuck in your favorite stuffed toy as your “cabin companion.”

    • Turn on a small night-light or a soft lamp so it glows like a lantern by the hearth.

  • Warm “Cocoa” or “Herbal Tea” Ritual

    • Pour a little warm (not hot!) milk or caffeine-free tea into a favorite mug.

    • Sit in your cabin fort and sip slowly—imagine you’re Slomo enjoying the quiet after a snowy day.

    • Breathe in the gentle steam and let it calm your body.

  • “Annotate Your Dreams” Journal

    • Keep a small notebook and a colorful pencil or sticker pad by your cabin.

    • Before you lie down, draw or write one fun thing you hope to dream about (“flying on a spaceship,” “baking rainbow cookies”).

    • Slomo loves to annotate his world—this helps your imagination take flight.

  • Five “Tech-Free” Deep Breaths

    • Just like Slomo’s internal calm-down checks, close your eyes and inhale for 4 seconds… hold for 2… exhale for 6.

    • Repeat five times, feeling your body grow heavier and more relaxed with each breath.

  • Soft Story Time

    • Read (or have someone read) a short, gentle story—maybe a cozy snowy-woods tale like Slomo’s.

    • If you like, “annotate” by marking your favorite sentence with a sticker, or whisper what you love most about the scene.

  • “Goodnight, Cabin” Affirmation

    • As you snuggle under the blanket, whisper one kind thought:

      • “Goodnight, snowy cabin. Goodnight, cocoa mug.”

      • “Goodnight, world—see you in my dreams.”

    • This tiny ritual reminds you of Slomo’s gratitude for his peaceful home.

  • Spend, Save, Create - The Story Savings Jar

  • Choose Your Jar (or Box)
Decorate a clear jar or small box with stickers, drawings of your favorite characters (maybe Optimus Prime or He-Man!), and a label like “Sybil’s Story Fund.” Making it beautiful reminds you how special your stories are.

  • Set Tiny Goals
Break your big dream (“make a film!”) into bite-size steps. For example:

    • Write a short story → €2

    • Finish a character sketch → €1

    • Plan a scene outline → €1
Every time you complete one of these steps, drop that amount into your jar. You’ll see your savings grow alongside your writing progress!

  • Allowance Split
If you get pocket money or small gifts, divide each coin into three parts:

    • Create (50%) goes straight into your Story Savings Jar

    • Spend (30%) for little treats or outings

    • Share (20%) to give or donate
This way, you’re still having fun and being generous, while steadily building your creative fund.

  • “Match” with Family or Friends
Invite someone you trust—maybe a parent or grandparent—to match every euro you save toward your stories. If you put in €5, they add €5. It’s like having your own mini-investor who believes in your ideas!

  • Celebrate Milestones
When you reach rounds of €10, €20, or whatever feels big to you, celebrate with a little party: watch an episode of your favorite show together, draw new story art, or read aloud your latest chapter. These celebrations keep you motivated and remind you how far you’re coming.

  • Track with a Sticker Chart
On a poster or whiteboard, draw a simple chart with 10 boxes. Each time you save €1 (or whatever unit you choose), fill in a box with a colorful sticker—a smiley face, a star, or a little rocket. Watching the stickers fill up is super encouraging!

  • Adventure Companion Kit - A Case Of Helping

  • Decorate a small backpack
Let’s turn an ordinary bag into a treasure chest! Add bright stickers or draw little pictures of a picnic blanket, a ship, and a hot-chocolate mug on the front so Sally can spot it right away.

  • Pack your own treats & drinks

    • Picnic goodies from ASDA: sandwiches, fruit, crisps—pack them in clear, reusable boxes so you both can see what’s inside without rustling plastic.

    • Hot chocolate in a thermos: pre-make it at home and pour into a leak-proof flask. Now you can enjoy a warm drink at Tomach without queuing in the café or battling loud noises.

  • Add a “Quiet Kit”

    • Noise-canceling headphones or ear-defenders for Sally (and extra little ones for you, too!).

    • Fidget toys or a soft squeeze ball to keep hands busy if things feel noisy outside.

    • Tuck them into a side pocket for quick grabs.

  • Create a mini picture-schedule
Draw or print small icons on index cards for each stop—🛒 ASDA, 🧺 picnic, ☕ hot-chocolate, 🚢 ship-watching, 🎁 Home Bargains outside.

    • Hole-punch and clip them together so you can flip through as you go.

    • Stick a little star or smiley sticker on each card when you finish that part of the adventure!

  • Plan a “quiet corner” in the car

    • Lay a soft blanket on one side of the back seat and keep the volume low on any music or audiobook.

    • Use this as your go-to spot to chill out between stops, chat with your support worker about what you’ve seen, or just relax.

  • Motivate Yourself Into Going For A Walk!

Turn your walk into a mini adventure quest!

    1. Pick your “mission items.” Before you go, grab a slip of paper and write or draw three simple things to spot on your walk:

      • A bright flower 🌸

      • A bouncy dog 🐕

      • A funny-shaped cloud ☁️

    2. Create a reward chart. Draw three boxes on another paper—one for each “mission item.” Every time you spot one, color in its box with your favorite crayon or sticker.

    3. Make it a story. Imagine you’re an explorer in a magical forest (your neighborhood!), on the lookout for enchanted treasures (those flowers, dogs, clouds!). You can even give yourself a hero name—Captain Sybil, Wizard Walker, or whatever feels fun.

    4. Celebrate small wins. Once all boxes are filled, treat yourself to something you love: a silly dance, a cozy cookie break, or five extra minutes of your favorite show.

    Don't Bump Into Anger!

  • Imagine you’re wearing an invisible helmet. Whenever you bump your head on a doorway, picture that helmet taking the hit—so you’re actually okay underneath.

  • Pause and place a hand on your chest. Feel your heartbeat. This little pause helps your brain switch from “angry” to “okay.”

  • Polish your helmet with deep breaths.

    • Breathe in slowly to a count of four (“1… 2… 3… 4”),

    • Breathe out to a count of four (“1… 2… 3… 4”).

    • As you breathe out, whisper or think, “Polish, polish, shiny shield!”

  • Celebrate your shiny helmet! Give yourself a tiny fist pump or a silly spin—because you just turned a bump into a moment of calm (and mini victory!).
