This Is Our Neighbourhood

Create Your Own Neighbourhood Adventure Map

  1. Grab a sheet of paper (or a poster board) and draw the outline of your street, yard, or even just your house.

  2. Mark special spots:

    • The “Thunderbirds Launchpad” could be your front door.

    • The “Secret Treehouse” might be your favorite reading nook.

    • The “Picnic Grove” could be the kitchen table (for snack time!).

  3. Give each spot a fun icon—a lightning bolt for Lady Penelope’s quick thinking, a little car for Parker’s faithful wheels, a crescent moon for Lunar’s playful spirit.

🔍 Turn Chores into Mini-Missions

  • When it’s time to tidy up toys, treat it like a “rescue” mission: “Parker needs help gathering all the teddy bears before lift-off!”

  • Folding clothes becomes “folding the bluey picnic blankets” for Lunar’s mums to use on their woodland walk.

🤝 Practice “Lady Penelope Manners”

  • Greet each family member or friend with a gentle “Good day, darling!” or “Hello, mate!”—just like Lady Penelope would.

  • Offer a helping hand for small tasks: carrying cups, opening doors, or passing the crayons.

💌 Send “Thunderbirds-Style” Thank-You Notes

  • Keep a little stack of colorful sticky notes or index cards.

  • Whenever someone does something kind—your mum making lunch, a friend sharing a toy—write a quick “Thank you for being amazing!” and leave it on their snack plate or backpack.

🌙 End the Day with a “Lunar’s Lullaby” Ritual

  • Before bedtime, share one thing you discovered or one kind thing you did that day.

  • Give a big hug (or an imaginary moonbeam hug) to each other, just like Lunar’s two mums do.
