Dinner & Lunch Game: How To Play Restaurants

Make a restaurant menu out of A4 paper and permanent markers. Draw the food you want with felt tip pens and Crayola pens.

When it's time for dinner, sit at the table and take your order from the waiter.

While you're waiting, sing a favourite song out loud.

Use your best table manners, saying 'Please' and 'Thank you' and eating like a proper gentleman or lady.

Always remember to wash your hands before meals!

Once you've finished eating, put your plate away and give your waiter a nice big tip. Ask him what he would spend it on.

Gratitude Plates

What's one way to bring gratitude to the dinner table outside of saying out loud what you're thankful for? Writing on a paper plate what you're thankful for, of course! And I'm here to show you how to make those gratitude plates, just in time for lunch or dinner. Or breakfast if you have toast or a cheeseburger.

You will need:

• A pack of paper plates
• Some felt tips or permanent markers

1. Get out some paper plates (or maybe one if it's near to lunch or dinner) and colour a pattern around the edges of the plate using three colours. Mine would be using yellow, pink and purple. What's your's?
2. With each time you approach the table with your chosen plate, and wait for dinner, you write down some things you're grateful for. Bonus points if it's something you really enjoy!

And then, you're ready to enjoy your meal - because meals aren't complete without gratitude, it's not just for Thanksgiving.

Helpful Ninja Tip - Lunch & Dinner

Just like Helpful Ninja in his book, instead of slacking around playing video games, you can help your parent or guardian lay the table. Try not to get too distracted and carry everything at once, take everything slowly, and remember not to break anything. If you're still learning about matching and pairs, try to get your parent or guardian to ask you things like, "Which dinner set is the same as that dinner set?" or, "Which one is different from the other's? The grown ups', or the kids'?" These kinds of activities can be enjoyed when it is time to enjoy lunch or dinner, and maybe if you're feeling lucky, you can help your parent or guardian dish up dinner, and even maybe speak French just like Bandit in the Bluey episode 'Pavlova'!

Joie Unicorn Corn Holders

I tried the Joie Unicorn Corn Holders for the first time today, and I have to say—these little guys brought a whole new level of joy to eating corn on the cob! Not only are they ridiculously cute (I mean, who wouldn’t want a unicorn helping them eat dinner?), but they’re also incredibly functional. While having dinner with our friends from Marineville, Lady Penelope, Troy, Phones, Atlanta and Commander Shore share a laugh about how Marina and Penelope are exactly alike, and how Marina's song at the end of every episode of Stingray is a tune which catches on to those who watch the show. However, when Commander Shore puts on the 'Aqua Marina' song to set up a blissful atmosphere, just listening to this song makes Marina so angry she goes into a silent rage that destroys the dinner.

Dinner & Ice Cream

Furaha, her stuffed mouse Mini Angelina and her family are settling at the table for a nice meal of roast beef, mashed potatoes and vegetables. Furaha is eating politely, but Orko is eating messily, so Furaha decides to teach him good manners so they can have their favourite chocolate ice cream for dessert.
