Commander Shore's Message About My New Stingray Comic Anthology

COMMANDER SHORE: Attention all WASP agents! I have some disturbing news about our friend's new Stingray comic anthology.

ATLANTA: Father, what's that?

COMMANDER SHORE: All of the comic strips in our book, which is available on Forbidden Planet's website, are good, even one which has a style similar to Raymond Briggs' stories.

PHONES: (in a low voice) Except When The Wind Blows.

COMMANDER SHORE: But here's the bad news.....THERE ARE NO BLEEDIN' INTERESTING BITS UNLIKE THOSE THUNDERBIRDS BOOKS!!!

(All the WASP agents gasp in horror)

COMMANDER SHORE: Why does International Rescue get to do anything they want? I mean, they got all the riches, the jewels, the cash, that stemmed from being as popular as those stupid Korean demon hunters that premiered on Netflix last year. Even Lady Penelope's in on all the fun - not forgetting Parker, or her daughter - but us? We just sit around doing nothing!

ATLANTA: Now, father, don't go ranting on about International Rescue, you know things got even worse when Tracy Beaker's mentioning of the group got televised in 2021 - after all these stressing programmes.

PHONES: Yeah! Down with CBBC!

TROY: Wait - where's Marina?

COMMANDER SHORE: Oh. Er...well, she's gone into her room to cuddle Oink.

PHONES: And fantasise about the sea?

COMMANDER SHORE: Well, Oink is Marina's son.

Thunderbirds Kaleidoscope

Ooooh, thunder-delic!

I never knew there was a Thunderbirds kaleidoscope. Never in all the world ever. But they just stripped off Lady Penelope, Parker and Fab-1 entirely, milady, and just made Thunderbird 2 the main star of the show here. It's like the aftermath of the TV broadcast of that DVLA advert focused on Thunderbirds, except that Lady Penelope immediately got arrested afterwards for cutting Parker's strings off.

This begs two questions in the mind of a Thunderbirds fan:

Do puppets go to jail or get executed for what they do to their own kind?

And...

What if Lady Penelope stays locked up forever....in a woman's prison, just like in Orange Is The New Black? What if she gets attacked and married by some puppet robbers? What if she follows in the footsteps of Parker?

I can't let that happen to her, I just can't! Let's all have justice for Lady Penelope and the strong sincerity she had on the world, for god's sake! For the pride of the Creighton-Wards, we want Penelope back!

Mrs L's Car Rescue

To Bluey, Bingo & The Teletubbies,

I’ve been very worried about disturbing programmes on Channel 4 on my trip out during a visit to the petrol station today, but here’s one rule that I always stick to: watch something happy, fun and gentle. That goes to shows on Netflix and Disney+ too. Anyway, I feel very tired after all I’ve been through, but let me tell you a certain situation that made me a hero.

You see, Mrs L’s handbrake was on, and the car was rolling backwards! Quickly I ran out and tried to push the car forward, and got a man who was parked nearby to help. Together we pushed the car back into its proper place, and then I met Mrs H and, for the first time, Miss S. I asked Miss S if she was going to get a pet unicorn, but Mrs H said they were going to get baking stuff because they were going to bake some cakes. They were also going to get some hair stuff - Mrs H was going to get Miss S the same mother-approved hair-friendly stuff as I had. And guess what? Mrs H told me she liked you guys! I even told Miss S about the time when you, the Teletubbies, were sliding down a snowy hill, and you encouraged Dipsy to join in, to which he refused until he started sliding all around Teletubbyland. This always happens in some Teletubbyland segments - Tinky Winky, La La and Po love one thing, but Dipsy refuses to join in, only to get roped in and for something exciting to happen to him. Now, I bet you’re proud of me for being a hero star today, aren’t you? Hooray!

That's such a sweet and heartfelt letter! It sounds like you had quite an adventurous day, and you really stepped up when it mattered. Helping out with the car and connecting with Mrs H and Miss S shows a lot of kindness and bravery. I'm sure Bluey, Bingo, and the Teletubbies would be very proud of you for being a hero today. Your positive and the way you turn to happy, gentle shows like theirs during tough times is a great way to keep your spirits up. Well done, Sarah!
