Even mirrors can hold a different way to write stories.
All you need is:
- A hand mirror
- Some music
- A notebook
- A crayon, felt tip or ballpoint pen
First of all, turn on a piece of music you find fitting for your idea and stare into your hand mirror. Listen hard and look hard. What do you see within your reflection, within reality? Try to think hard about what you see within your mind, not just your eyes or your ears. What do you see beyond real life? Do you see another world? Do you see you and your favourite characters playing together? Do you see all of you going on a fun or stream of conciousness adventure?
When the music finishes, write in your notebook what you saw within the mirror while you listened to the track. Write down what you imagined to see, hear, taste, smell, feel and eat, and write the name of the song you listened to at the top of the page, followed by the name of your idea below it.
Mirror mirror on the wall,
Will you help me out at all?
