Move Along, Nothing Special

It is an absolute OUTRAGE! CBBC, CBeebies and Channel 4 are at least trying to play their part in Autism Awareness Day, but with the rise of the streaming era, why? Why can't they even do something special for Autism Awareness Day?

First, let's start with CBeebies. They premiered Pablo only a few years ago, back in 2017, so there's nothing wrong with that. And CBBC has done - you guessed it - nothing special, focusing only on loud, overstimulating imports rather than a special kind of lineup. Listen here, you guys, if you want to do something special, then try and take those tips from me, right?

For Autism Awareness Day, you guys could all abandon your loud, noisy programmes and instead show classic programmes, like some of the ones up above - except Bluey and Hey Duggee, because the characters act too wild and crazy. You could air shows like the above mentioned original Teletubbies, Little Bear, Bob The Builder, Pingu, Postman Pat, even Series 1 and 2 of Brum. But no, you have to keep up with the times. The BBC hates retro programming.

And what about you, CBBC, hmm? How far have you come with such an abomination of shows so far?! I mean, doing only one autism-related show in the form of My Life isn't fair, what about your entire lineup? Don't you even care about anyone else other than yourselves and your tummy-tum-tums?! There's loads of lazy people at the controls pigging out on crisps due to all the money the BBC lost, and because of that, you're not focusing on British kids with autism!

To make things better, you could've at least aired some calm classic kids' shows like Byker Grove or Narnia or Grange Hill or even Strange Hill High and Scream Street for that matter, but noooo, you don't care about the needs and preferences of every child with autism. You are disrespectful and rude, which is why CBBC might've yanked you off the air for good and always, so stop telling the autistic children of the UK to shut up and do something else, do something useful, just for once, PLEASE?!

And Channel 4 isn't proving useful either. I mean, they have made a police drama made by a crew of autistic people, which is good. But why? Why haven't they made their channel and all their programmes autism friendly too, just for this day? I mean they could've aired their old kids' shows, for instance: The Hoobs, Cubeez, Angela Anaconda, the Clangers, The Magic Roundabout - but:

*WRONG Panel Buzzer Noise*

They just couldn't. They don't have the money to do it. Neither does CBBC, CBeebies or ITV. All they do is spend their money and time on miserable programmes and imports from America rather than something special for the day.

Now listen here, Ofcom, if you're going to let autism-friendly British kids' TV die down, I suggest we all strike back and do what's right for autistic people and what they watch all across the UK!

Queen's Rule #4: Children's Favourites

From this day, hence Mattel will re-release classic Children's Favourites DVDs, but with a few things swapped around. Christmas Children's Favourites would leave out Angelina Ballerina, replace her with a Winter-themed episode of Little Bear and change Brambly Hedge's Winter Story to The Secret Staircase. Ultimate Children's Favourites will now replace Angelina Ballerina, Bob The Builder, Rubbadubbers and Pingu with Brambly Hedge, Percy The Park Keeper, Titch and Bertha. Playtime Children's Favourites will replace Bob The Builder, Angelina Ballerina (yeah, that horrible time when Henry was verbally messed up by Angelina during her trip to the fair) and Rubbadubbers (yeah, parents have had it with the whole 'Spin around twice and straighten your stupid tie' thing!) with Little Robots, Fifi & The Flowertots and The Book Of Pooh.

And as for Brightest Children's Favourites? They'll replace all the noisy and overwhelming episodes with quieter episodes with no screaming, shouting or yelling, making it 'Bright & Quiet Children's Favourites'.

HAPPY NOW, ARNOLD?!

My Top 10 Characters Who Love Making New Friends

  1. Furaha & Orko
  2. Dumbo
  3. Max & Ruby
  4. The Care Bears
  5. Agumon
  6. Minty & The Other G3 My Little Pony Characters
  7. Little Bear
  8. Franklin
  9. Kipper
  10. Titch

My Favourite Kidoodle Shows

He Man (2002)
I would only choose this for Orko alone, but I feel like He Man is not the most powerful man in the universe as everyone hoped he'd be. Instead, he's the most abusive man in the universe, beating everyone senseless and ignoring Orko for the sake of spending more time with more human friends.

The Classic MLP Series & Films
There's a wide variety of My Little Pony films and series to choose from on Kidoodle. As well as Friendship Is Magic and Equestria Girls, the older, more charming pony tales, starring such favourites as Bon Bon and Minty, alongside lots of surreal song sequences, would make for great viewing if the G4 ponies get on your nerves.

Guess How Much I Love You
A modern day classic, Guess How Much I Love You sees Little Nutbrown Hare and the people he loves discover nature in all its wonderful glory. From the snow of Winter to the flowers blooming in Spring, love will always prevail in the end. And as always, it's the series you'll love all the way to the moon...and back.

Little Bear
Another timeless classic, Little Bear originally hails from a channel filled with hyperactive, nonsensical programmes called Nick Jr (I bet you already knew that by now). Little Bear sees the titular character go on charming adventures across the forest, exploring nature with his parents and his friends Duck, Hen, Owl and Cat. I also remember one episode where it feels like Little Bear died and turned into a Constellation.

The Bellflower Bunnies
The Bellflower Bunnies was originally made in French, but I don't know if this Brambly Hedge ripoff is supposed to be badly dubbed or not. Anyway, the charming adventures of the Bellflower family are animated in a wonderful style that is just too wonderful to even put into words, as with light and happiness, the Bellflowers navigate their lives in a wonderful, kid friendly way.
