The Truth Of Vanity Calamity

Spa treatment.
So soft....
So comfortable....
So luxurious....
So natural...
So...so...so....SEXY!!
I have an announcement to make: now Vanity Calamity is one of my two inspirations behind the I.B.F.Fs short cartoon Freak Spa, alongside that Dove advert I mentioned in an earlier post. Trust me, in the episode Otto's spa is a gut-wrenching experience, but in Freak Spa, it's much better. You just have to strip off your clothes (unlike how they do in the episode) and imagine you're in the spa Luke, Resus, Cleo and I are in. In this spa, there's more than face masks, there's a Tibetan mud body mask, Aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, a soft cotton bed, a milk bath and a hot tub. In this short, you see Luke and Resus unclothed, unlike what you saw in the episode, along with me. Instead of groans of 'Spa...' and 'Everyone must go to the spa', there are sweet, seducing, soft sighs and squeals of laughter. You get to hear my younger self narrating, plus the sarcastic opening lines: "Mmmmm-mmmm, nothing like a taste of spa to relax you after a long day."

Look out for it soon, and while you're waiting see the sources of inspiration for the short:

When Vanity Calamity Airs On CBBC

Sir Otto's planning to use this episode to turn everyone who watches CBBC today into sex-crazed sweat shop servants...who want to indulge in sensual pleasure.

Scream Street Bites - Bathtime

ME: Aaaaaaah. *hums*
KNOCK KNOCK!
LUKE: May we come in?
ME: Okay!

ME: Well. If it isn't Luke, Resus, Cleo, Luella and Six. Now that you're all undressed, why don't you get in the tub?
LUELLA: Why?
ME: You're my friends. Come on, get in the tub!
SIX: Alright!
ME: I said you know you wanna get in the tuuuub! Yeeeaaaah! Come on, Cleo hasn't the need to undress.
CLEO: Sounds sexy. A hot steamy bathtub session together sounds like my kind of thing.
ME: What's wrong, Six?
SIX: I don't want to do what Luke's parents do in bed at night.
ME: Ha-ha-ha-ha-ha-haaaaa, you'd better get in this tub, guys.
LUKE: Yes! Let's do it!
*Everyone leaps into the bath, screaming and laughing in joy and splashing each other. I notice Six's breasts*
ME: Six! Your breasts! They're...stitched up!
SIX: That's how my creator gave me breasts. I'm a teen...so...I don't mind.
ME: Right. Now that we're altogether, let's do what I do best...bathroom tickles!
*Everyone tickles each other, laughing hysterically (head to 4:03)*
*Luella grabs the flower to throw at Resus, but she misses*
ME: Luella, what have you done?!
RESUS: At last, it's coming down. Look!
ME: Oh no....
ALL OF US: THE POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOND!
ME: Actually....
ALL OF US: THE TOILEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETT!!!
ME: *angrily* That's it - everyone turn the taps on.

SUE WATSON: It's lovely and quiet in here, isn't it?
NILES: I knew they'd be able to share a (bad F word) bath in the end.
EEFA: Er...do you hear something?
ME: Yeah, the water's overflowing, we've flooded the bathroom! YEEEESSSS! Woo!!
MIKE WATSON: Mmmm...just the usual.
BELLA NEGATIVE: Didn't you put them in the bath?
DR. F: No, no-no-no, didn't you?
SUE WATSON: I think I hear...
ALL: Running water!
*Everyone dashes to the bathroom. Sue opens the bathroom door, water gushes from the bathroom and roars towards the parents*
SLIP!
SLIDE!
PLOP!
SPLASH!
ALSTON NEGATIVE: Alright, who's responsible for this?
ME: It wasn't me!
LUKE: It wasn't me!
RESUS: It wasn't me, dad, honest!
CLEO: It wasn't me!
LUELLA: It wasn't me!
SIX: It wasn't me! *starts crying* Oh my god, I'm a bad girl!

Picture Night Is Cancelled

I'm afraid that, due to my sexy obsession with spa treatments of Halloween (*wolf whistles* Oh baby!), I'm not doing the The 'Hood episode Picture Night - Picture Night is the alternate episode name for the new Bluey adventure Movies - but I'll do it another time. While you're waiting, why don't you make your own movie with your child? Here are some links to help you:

I.B.F.Fs: Freak Spa

Since today's Scream Street episode is about a spa, a sudden idea popped into my head: another relaxing I.B.F.Fs short concerning how Luke, Resus, Cleo and I love to relax and escape into a quiet, calm fantasy - Freak Spa. This short is inspired by a Dove advert I saw as a kid concerning spa treatment, alone in a calm room, enjoying time to yourself.

Like Forest Friends, my younger self narrates as we are shown gentle, warm, soothing images of me, Luke, Resus and Cleo enjoying being pampered in our own calm spa. Luke, Resus and I are fully unclothed (except Cleo who still wears bandages) as we enjoy our treatment: Cleo enjoys a mud body mask while pondering how it feels to be different, Resus enjoys aroma therapy and Luke calms down with hydrotherapy, even splashing me for fun. Other soothing scenes include us sleeping in a cotton bed in a dark room, a cooling milk bath and a rejuvenating hot tub. The short begins with my younger self narrating "Mmmmm-mmmm, nothing like a taste of spa to relax you after a long day." and will be featured alongside four Eagle's Nest shorts and two Scream Street bonus episodes on the I.B.F.Fs: The Eagle's Nest DVD. Aside from the narration, there's nothing coming out of me and my friends for the entire short except sighs of contentment and gentle squeals of laughter, particularly when Cleo and I are covering ourselves with Tibetan mud.

Make sure you tune into CBBC at 3:25 for the truly soothing episode of Scream Street and look out for the script for the short on my blog soon!

My Favourite Story In Horrid Henry Meets The Queen

My favourite story in this Horrid Henry book, Horrid Henry Meets The Queen, is Horrid Henry's Bathtime. It's a nice story about the hilarity of sharing a bath with a younger brother, plus it has hilarious dialogue such as:
"Henry's being horrid!"
"Peter's being horrid!"
"Make him stop!"
And
"I think I hear...running water!"
The audio version is freakin' hilarious, Miranda Richardson does a great job screaming out Henry and Peter's lines, and my favourite illustration from the story is one I proudly coloured in of Henry staging battles with Yellow Duck and Snappy Croc in the tub. This'll make bathtimes even more fun and exciting! Woohoo!

The 'Hood: Outta Control Elephants Teaser

In the tradition of cartoon episodes that teach children not to pick up rude words like Arthur's 'Bleep' and Rugrats' 'Word Of The Day' comes an episode of The 'Hood teaching children the same subject...

The big kids go to an Outta Control Elephants concert, but when one singer spouts a bad word in one of the songs, the kids pick it up and use them in everyday lives, even using it in school to the point where everyone starts saying the word, which is bleeped out using an array of cartoony sound effects. Mr. Abercrombie is very cross! But Mother Goose leads them to believe that some words hurt other people, ones which they mustn't use at a young age.

While you're waiting, if you have a child who has picked up a naughty word, take this advice from the link below:

The 'Hood: Outta Control Elephants. Coming soon!

The Real Reason Why We Started Seeing Elements Of The Fimbles In Horrid Henry

Near to the end of Horrid Henry's run on CiTV, we started seeing elements of the Fimbles in episode that didn't feature Henry in daily events. These range from Roly Mo appearing as a soft toy and a snow globe, Peter singing the Finding Song in the Purple Hand Gang fort and a Fimbles-related hat. This all leads up to Horrid Henry's Birthday Bonanza, where we see Yugo and Migo from the Fimbles' spin-off series The Roly Mo Show appearing to sing the Fimbles' birthday song, which I like to sing instead of that babyish and annoying birthday song, with Henry and his family and friends. I really like this part of the episode because it gears Horrid Henry to a younger audience. The real reason why we started seeing the Fimbles in later CiTV episodes of Henry is because both shows were made by the same company - Novel Entertainment, which also made CBBC's Cinemaniacs, who covered Horrid Henry: The Movie in one of their episodes.
