The Big Airport Surprise
I wanted to do a Scream Street Thought Of The Day, but that Scream Street episode had passed by today because of a big surprise I got at the airport...
We went to Inverness Airport because mum told me she wanted to pick up some wool, and to ease my fears about it being too crowded we got a chocolate bar with M&M's in it, and it was so yummy! I was thinking about Resus and Tiny Clanger being at the airport with me, until the conveyor belt started moving. We went to wait whilst the airport was crowded with people visiting Scotland...and there, I got the surprise of my life: Carol was there waiting for me, and so was Nana Duck! It had all been planned out as a surprise for me, and Nana asked who sent me to get the "wool" and I figured it was either God or Sir Otto Sneer. As always, Carol had some surprises for me because I had been a good girl AND I had been exceptionally good at the airport because there was no noise!
On the way home, they gave me airport crisps and a Twix bar to keep myself occupied. Carol told me all about her travels to Japan and her encounters with a few of the marvels of Japanese culture, including Geisha girls, a creepy robot, a blossom tree, some temples and a hedgehog cafe. She even told me that Japan had an owl cafe because Japan loved Harry Potter as much as the UK did. She noted that you have to wear Japanese kimonos when you come down to dinner in your hotel in Japan, and I find that really comfy. She also told me she was going to travel to Spain, Germany and Brazil, and she told me about how she managed to climb a glacier and get hot drinks served with icicles afterwards. She even showed me photos from her travels in Japan, and talked about the films she and Nana liked to watch, reminiscing about when she used to have Disney videos, including It's A Wonderful Life and Beauty & The Beast.
When we got back home, Carol and Nana gave me a huge amount of gifts including a Chip the teacup purse, some highlighter pens, a handheld mirror, two notebooks, a 'Congratulations' banner because I got published, a beautiful pattern to stick on my window, a mini notepad with a detachable pencil and best of all, £100! I'm such a lucky rich girl, from now on I'm going to write in my white notebook with pink sparkles, then my grey notebook with rainbow patterns, and never think about buying another notebook - this is the best day and the best surprise ever!
