The Paper Princess

Life was super hard for Twilight Sparkle and Spike.

It was hard when Twilight became Princess Of Friendship.

It was hard when she lost her library and got a new castle as a result.

It was even hard when she took grown up Starlight Glimmer (boo shame) under her - of all things - wings.

But off the show, Twilight and Spike were unemployed. While Starrie was out with her support worker, today she and Spike were in charge of holding down papers in an office. And how in the name of the great Princess Starburst did Twilight manage to do it?

By sitting on it.

Twilight was shivering and shuddering. Her legs and hooves began to feel painful cramps and she was sweating so hard she worried the papers would be doused with sparkly purple unicorn sweat.

“Twilight, you’ve been sitting on these papers for like about 10 hours and it’s way past lunchtime.” warned Spike, her dragon assistant, who was dressed in a smart business uniform with lots of Dragon Tales badges all over - besides Star Trek, Dragon Tales was one of Spike’s favourite telly shows.

“Relax, Spike,” shivered Twilight, sounding like she was about to burst into a nervous breakdown. “I can handle this office job very easy.”

“But Twilight, don’t you remember the last times you’ve been to the toilet?”

Twilight thought hard. She thought about…

The time when Pinkie Pie desperately wanted to go to the bathroom and shoved her off the toilet mid-number 2, resulting in pee all over the floor.

The time when Applejack blew up the toilet as a vicious prank. What a liar!

And the time when she was so late for a study at the Ponyville library that she had to pee in a bush - right in front of other ponies - and the Cutie Mark Crusaders!

“Aw alright I’ll get off these papers,” grumbled Twilight as she hopped off Mr Warburton’s desk.

“How are we going to fix all these papers?” asked Spike, “We can’t leave them stinking of sparkly purple unicorn pee.”

Twilight thought hard. And this time, she had an absolutely massive brainwave. And when princesses get brainwaves, that would mean the most brilliant idea in the world is in their heads - and their horns.

Using her magic, Twilight turned the unicorn pee-decorated papers into fresh new papers - just the way Mr Warburton had written them before. Spike jumped up and down in excitement.

“Twiley, you genius!” shouted Spike, hugging her friend round her leg. Suddenly, his face fell.

“But what about the rest of the office? It looks so drab and boring.”

A determined look plastered itself across Twiley’s face as she hissed:

“I think this requires a certain M word, Spike. A certain M word…”

“M-M-Magic?” stammered Spike in anxious confusion.

When Mr Warburton returned to his office to pack up his papers, he got a big surprise. Not only was he greeted by Twilight and Spike both going:

“Ta da!”

But with that came a most remarkable transformation to his office ever!

The walls were all painted the colours of Twilight and her friends Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie. There were Hello Kitty and teddy bear porcelain ornaments lined up neatly on the desk, and Mr Warburton’s laptop had turned into a G2 My Little Pony themed computer, with rainbow and butterfly and flower stickers neatly dressing it with love.

And most surprising of all, his desk had turned pastel pink and yellow, and his roly round wheely chair had turned into that of a comfy, fluffy beanbag armchair.

Mr Warburton squealed like a fangirl and ran to hug Twilight.

“Thank you, Twilight, what would I do without you? You’ve made office life more fun than I thought it would ever be.”

“Ah-hem,” Spike went, and Mr Warburton added:

“Not to mention your fine little co-worker of a dragon. Speaking of which, my boss says you’re doing such a good job, I think you deserve to give our boring office a friendship overhaul and make our jobs more fun.”

So Twilight did.

THE END.
