So I hear that it's Love's Baby Soft Day, and everyone's getting involved no matter how much of a girl they are. Or a brony. Or both. Well, in this guide I'll be demonstrating some top tips for hosting a Love's Baby Soft Day Slumber Party!
Snacks
- Buttery Popcorn. Or butterscotch popcorn, it doesn't matter. Sleepovers aren't complete without the sweet, crunchy taste of butterscotch popcorn in a purty pink bowl for you and your gang to try!
- Hot Cocoa. Listen, I heard that girls of the '80s drank their hot cocoa out of Strawberry Shortcake and My Little Pony mugs. Why not order some on eBay and prepare them ready for you and each of your mates on your party? If you can't go onto eBay, find some modern day mugs with Disney characters on them and go all out with the sweet chocolatey taste.
- Pink Cupcakes. No sleepover is complete without fresh homemade cupcakes, especially with pink icing. Whip up a batch of homemade cupcakes for your slumber party whether it's chocolate, vanilla or unicorn, and make pink icing to add on top of each cake.
Movies To Watch During Your Slumber Party
- The Many Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh. Part nonsense, part charm and innocence, this traditionally animated Disney film was what was the theatrical debut of the beloved yellow bear with a taste for honey. Use this film as an opportunity to point out some of the hidden detail with your friends, including that fact that Pooh spelt 'Suspect' wrong when he floated up to the Hunny Tree in the first story!
- My Little Pony: A Very Minty Christmas. Forget the vibrant, fast-paced animation of Friendship Is Magic, this cosy My Little Pony film is perfect for a night in with the girls. The film tells the story of Minty, a clumsy green pony with an obsession for socks who accidentally knocks down Ponyville's Here Comes Christmas Candy Cane and must journey to Santa's village to require his help to fix it, with her colourfully equine friends in tow. The film is worth watching especially for the 'That's What I Love About Christmas' sequences, where we see all of Ponyville enjoying Christmas traditions and celebrations, and even at one point reusing stock footage from A Charming Birthday. Think again about what you watch, Bronies!
- Bob The Builder: A Christmas To Remember. For a preschool film about a builder and his ragtag crew of colourful machines preparing for Christmas, this stop motion festive film will tug at your heartstrings, especially with the plot about Bob's long lost brother Tom planning to reunite with him on Christmas Eve. You see, this film isn't just for Christmas, it's for any time of year, alongside that MLP film I mentioned earlier. The fact that Elton John provides the voice of one of the characters provides a star-studded feel to the movie.
