The Fat Van

Furaha drove along the road as Orko sang ‘Kiss The Girl’ to Vulpix, when all of a sudden, they stopped behind a van. It was a white van with a few dirt marks on it. At first, Furaha was silent. Then she began to laugh. “What’s so funny?” asked Orko. “Look at its number plate!” cackled Furaha. Orko and Vulpix looked. Its license plate read: “UR2 FAT”. Orko and Vulpix started laughing as well. “Oh crud, imagine! A van with a license plate calling everyone fat!” laughed Orko. “That would be offensive, because some drivers pig out on crisps and cakes in the back of their car!” “Tell me about it, this is bananas!” cried Furaha. The man behind them beeped his horn. “OI!” he cried, “Get a move on!” “Sorry!” Furaha called as she drove on to the pizza place.

Vulpix's Pizza Party - Scouring The Toy Shop

Furaha, Orko and Vulpix scoured the toy shop for something for them all to play with. There were lots of grown-up lions and cubs buying toys here and there, and some were really polite, even the staff. First, they looked at a Trolls Band Together Poppy Styling Head. “This one looks good,” said Furaha, “Then I can wash and shampoo her hair to make it look as lovely as a palm leaf. I’d also engage in chit chat with it. Interesting chit chat, like what’s on her agenda today.” “Brr-brrr, brr-brr-brr-brrr-brr-brr-brr!” said Vulpix, making her hand talk. When she asked in her language if she wanted it, Furaha decided to get it, as she loved to style the hair on her dolls. Then they went to another part of the toy shop, where they saw a beautiful Sylvanian Families Baby Mermaid Castle. It looked very pink, like a giant shell painted to look beautiful like a trove of undersea treasures. “Imagine if we could be mermaids, swimming around and splashing our tails.” “Well we live near the sea, Furaha, and we believe in mermaids already so there’s no need to buy the playset.” Without throwing a single tantrum, Furaha agreed and the three friends continued on. In the soft toys section, Furaha found a Faye The Unicorn soft toy. Orko found a Sonic The Hedgehog toy. Vulpix found a Paddington Bear toy. “Guys, check out Faye!” Furaha cried, and Orko and Vulpix rushed over to see what’s happening. Sadly, nothing happened, but Furaha explained, “I would love to be a beautiful unicorn, flying around and spreading magic to those who need it. I understand magic isn’t just for people who want wishes, it’s for people who need help in the world.” Orko was moved by this, almost to tears, and hugged Furaha softly. Vulpix hugged too, so she didn’t get left out. They continued on, and Vulpix’s cute little eyes locked on a huge Winnie The Pooh plush. “Brrr-brrrr!” she cried, as if to say, “I’ll have that!” “Glad you found a toy you want!” said Furaha, “Now, what about you, Orko? Do you prefer a friend for Mr Fuzzikins?” “Actually, yes, Mr Fuzzikins is feeling quite lonely.” So they raced all the way to the sleeping Pokemon section, where Orko floated all the way up to get a Sleeping Pikachu plush for himself. “That’s the lot,” said Furaha, “Come on, let’s go and pay.” So they paid for their toys at the checkout and headed out of the car to a happy clown robot that said, “Thank you for visiting Smyths! Come again soon!”

The Meaning Of Life - The Palace Bathroom

Furaha and Orko opened the massive door of the palace bathroom. They couldn’t believe their eyes, and Furaha cooed in awe. The whole bathroom was coloured a shiny dolphin-skin blue, with golden lining on the bath, the wash basin and even the toilet. It was so beautiful that Orko just had to explore it with Furaha by his side. Just then, he picked Furaha up and sniffed. “Pee-yew!” he said playfully, “What a stinky smell! Sounds like you need a bath.” Furaha squealed with joy and clapped her paws. She always loved a bath. Orko ran the bath at a warm temperature and added lots of satin-scented bubble bath. He lifted Furaha into the water and began to scrub her all over with the purest, gentlest body wash and the loveliest, latheriest sponge. Furaha felt soothed and calm from the effect of the orange sponge brushing up against her fur. Then Orko popped a golden rubber duck into the water, and let Furaha watch it bob up and down. Sometimes, he made it duck into the water and ask, “Where did it go? Huh? Where did it go?” Furaha would grab hold of it and chew on it as if it were a teething ring. “Oh no! A monster has eaten the innocent duck ship! Everyone abandon the boat! Lions and children first!” The two laughed over such a playful joke. When it was time to get out, Orko dried Furaha with a soft, fluffy towel and tickled her toes as he did it., rubbing under her arms and sniffing them to check if there is any stinkiness abound and polishing her tail like it’s a precious brass kettle. At last, he began to carry Furaha in his arms out of the bathroom to explore more of the palace.

Action Time With Andy Pandy

Watching Andy Pandy VHS tapes with your baby is a great way to bond and play. The best bit about the puppet series is the songs, which you can share with a free-to-converse group of parents and babies, or a mother's group near where you live. Make up some actions to go with the music or singing, or add your baby's name or your baby's soft toy's names. And during the instrumental humming bits, leading your baby in waving along or circling your finger in the palm of his or her hand, because Teddy is based on the nursery rhyme 'Walking Round The Garden'. For the Jumping Song, you can grab some soft toys and make them dance for your baby's entertainment, and the Tingaling Song might require some shaking and wiggling fingers. During the 'la-la-la' bits of the songs, you can rock your arms to and fro, pretend to march or walk or clap along the the music.

Furaha Alone

Furaha wakes up alone near a beautiful lake in the middle of nowhere, all alone without her brother or parents by her side. She tries her best to play on her own until the day is over…but is it all a dream?

Pikachu's Blanket Fort

Until he gets his tag removed, my new Pikachu toy likes to think of my bed as his throne. It's where he can sleep under the blanket with his other soft Pokemon friends and pig out on biscuits, ice cream and lemonade (a nice change from Poffins!) all day, even when I'm out with my support workers or walking my dog Mylo. On other times, he has a sleepover party with Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle, where they watch some of my DVDs, play spin the bottle and cook awesome pancakes.

How Pikachu Found A Home

Hi, I'm Pikachu. Smyths rescues thousands of toys from factories each year, and I think my rightful owner adopted me just in time. Like Squishmallows and Paw Patrol, us Pokemon are always looking for a new home every day. My owner's story started when she went out with her support worker. She was excited to go to Smyths to get a toy, but first she had a Starbucks - a skinny hot chocolate with a golden brown Christmas tree shaped brownie - just delicious! Then her support worker bought me, and revealed her guilty pleasure was going in there and looking around at all the toys. My friends, Sonic The Hedgehog and Paddington Bear, are looking for a forever home, and hopefully my owner's support worker will adopt another one. The Poppy Styling Head, Sylvanian Families Baby Mermaid Castle, Faye the unicorn and Winnie The Pooh are the ones looking for a home. Still here? There's some information about her Domino's Pizza visit - she had pizza, Coke, cookies and chicken wings - and they tasted delicious. Finally, they went to Matalan or whatever to get some scented colouring pens, but guess what? NONE!
Well, that does it for my best day-I-got-out ever. Do remember that my fellow toy friends need a loving home, just like the dogs at Dogs Trust. To find out more, visit

Here Comes The Revolution - And Orko Again

"STOP!"
Oh director man, do you always have to interrupt me?
"It's Orko, not Teela. She's stolen the show a million times already, and Netflix has turned her into a diverse witch."
Not cool!
