JACKIE LEGS: Hey mate! I made you breakfast! ME: Oh boy! Is it meat, eggs and noodles? JACKIE LEGS: Of course! It's my signature dish.

This is the little bug that's been living in my stomach since yesterday. Mind you, the bug in Henry's Cat was hairy, green, had sharp teeth and had wild and crazy eyes.

Henry's Cat - The Ill Wind

Cloudgazing

Lady Penelope and I were lying in the long grass one warm, quiet Spring afternoon, doing a spot of cloudgazing. There was something special about just lying there, imagining a whole world above us, where clouds are formed with every shape they make.

But there's a hitch: while Penelope was good at pointing out elegant, beautiful shapes that form in the sky, I pointed out playful ones. So, while Penelope pointed out a ribbon, a swan and a blanket of silk, I pointed out a monkey, a lion and a crocodile. Penelope wasn't the least bit annoyed by my cloud spotting ways, and chuckled at my suggestions.

We liked to stretch our toes out - and our arms - and lie there, enjoying the bright Spring sunshine. The smell of fresh dew filled the air as we lay, admiring the wonders our world had to bring, from the tiniest ant to the largest tree. At last, Penelope saw me yawning, and I shut my eyes and fell asleep. She took me in her arms and carried me back to our cave for a peaceful night's rest.

By The Fire

One night in the peaceful cave where we always slept (this was during my baby years), Lady Penelope lay on her mossy nest overlooking me as I slept by the fire, sound and peaceful. She gazed into the bright flames of the fire as they danced a ritualistic dance of their ancestors, which brought fire to the early humans that became my species. Lady Penelope knew she had to keep me safe and protected from any danger, and she did a good job, without being too overprotective and more sensing.

Lady Penelope took me in her arms and began to sing to me a soft, ancient lullaby, passed down from generation to generation in her primal, natural family. Now she was all alone, but with me, she had nothing to fear. She had someone which will keep her company for all time - me. Her baby. Her daughter. A future protector of nature, just like her - a woman who trusts her instincts towards living peacefully in nature, just like those who came before her. My skin was soft against her thin, comforting arms, and, hugging me close to her chest, Lady Penelope whispered: "I'll always love you, my little burning flame."

The Most Peaceful Place On Earth

Lady Penelope and I were wandering along the meadow one day, and it was really nice to get out and do something useful besides paint on the walls of our cave with mud. In fact, on this particular day, we were going to the most peaceful place nature has to offer us - the grassy green meadow surrounded by trees.

Lady Penelope lay in the meadow and yawned as she looked up at the beautiful blue sky. I lay next to her and spent most of my time picking dandelions and blowing them, watching their seeds fly into the sky. My eyes got heavy, and I wondered where the heck time went with our time spent in the meadow. Near the lush greenery of it all was a little hill.

I stretched my arms and legs out as far as they would go and rolled down the hill, squealing and laughing. "Wheeeeeeeee!!" I shouted as I tumbled in the dewy freshness of the grass. "Come on, mummy!" Penelope knew exactly what to do. The days of regality and responsibility were over, just freedom and natural instincts. So she stretched her arms and legs wide, and she rolled downhill with me. The grass was soft underneath us, and as we rolled, we thought of nothing else but ourselves enjoying the warm Spring weather, and as we landed on top of each other at the bottom of the hill, how we both laughed and laughed.

Medicine Ritual

On the beach, Lady Penelope uses ancient aloe oil she found in the jungle to soothe and cure my chills and chest infection.

First Steps

With guidance and encouragement from his mother, Jackie Legs steps out onto the beach for the first time, experiencing new things to touch, taste and smell.
