10.Pokemon: The First Movie
The main reason why I like the first ever Pokemon movie is not only because it didn't air on CBBC like future Pokemon series and movies did now (thank god), but also because of the scenes with Mew in the water, which are soothing, relaxing and very sensual, especially if you're a Pokemon fan seeking comfort and support after a long hard day.
9.Digimon Tamers
Okay, so Digimon Tamers aired as part of Operation 5 on YTV, which was sponsored by Kellogg's Froot Loops cereal - wait. Why did Kelloggs spell it like 'Froot' instead of 'Fruit'? I dunno. Anyway, I like Digimon Tamers mainly because of cute little Calumon - he is always wanting junk food and acts like a little kid, bringing the 'aaaaawww' factor to a new level. Of course, Guilmon, Renamon and Terriermon are my favourites too.
8.Limbo
Limbo was YTV's late night programming block which showed various grown up animations and adult programmes, most of which are either from Adult Swim or MTV. One show that left me gobsmacked was the inclusion of Aardman's late '90s claymation series Rex The Runt, which aired alongside Escaflowne in 2001. I'm whole again now, can someone give me a glass of lemonade? At least it's not Tuesday.
7.Rex The Runt
Speaking of Rex The Runt, this entry in the list is all about the claymation series. Released on DVD as part of Aardman's Darkside with Angry Kid and A Town Called Panic, this claymation series aired as part of YTV's Limbo in Canada alongside Escaflowne, as I mentioned earlier. Tuesdays will never be boring again when you find out Rex The Runt aired on YTV!
6.Escaflowne
I'm not here to talk about the movie, I'm going to talk about the series and this series only. Here, Hitomi is cheerful and always knows how to pull other's strings, especially when she's transported to Escaflowne, where she meets a lot of new friends like Van and Merle, who help her defeat the Black Dragon Clan. Like most anime series in Limbo, this anime series contains no music in some scenes, allowing viewers to feel what the characters are feeling naturally.
5.Freaky Stories
A hybrid series that ripped off CITV's Grizzly Tales?! You'd better believe these two series aired on YTV, OR ELSE! Anyway, this series, hosted by a puppet maggot and beetle, sees three different stories told through three different animation styles with three different narrators. If these narrators are kids, you'd better fall for it. But if the narrators are all different....who are they?!
4.YTV Schedule Archives.
This, alongside the Cartoon Network schedule archives page, is the most awesome website ever! It shows all the shows and movies that have aired on YTV for the past few years, as well as a few surprises along the way, such as Rex The Runt and Strawberry Shortcake. And yes, I can admit that He Man, Digimon and Transformers aired on there, no exceptions.
3.Trying a bacon and cheese roll for the first time.
Mmmmm-mmmmm-mmmm! Bacon and cheese? Better than cucumbers! When I went out with my support worker on Tuesday, we got our lunch from three different places: Harry Gow's, the Co-Op and Poppy's. In Poppy's, I saw a Tesco Winnie The Pooh bag (they also did one for My Little Pony too), a Victoria sponge cake and some luscious chocolate brownies. I've yet to order these someday! But when I tasted the cheese and bacon roll, I felt an urge of deliciousness in my mouth. It felt like pigs and mice were dancing on my tongue! More please, MOOOOOOOOOOOOORRE!
2.Raa Raa The Noisy Lion & In The Night Garden
My male support worker's baby boy, as I'm told, loves Raa Raa The Noisy Lion, mainly because of how simple the stories, backgrounds, colours and characters are. And Raa Raa is really friendly towards the other animals in the show, including kind-hearted Zebby and hyperactive Ooo Ooo. My fun support worker couldn't stop watching In The Night Garden for hours on end - In The Night Garden taught her children how to brush their teeth, and she knew things like Igglepiggle was a little boy, Upsy Daisy was a little girl, the Tombliboos were toddlers, Makka Pakka was a four year old and the Haahoos were grown ups.
1.Trying not to be such a Caillou
Sigh. Okay, so, yesterday I had a big shouting fit which sent me to my room. My mum was so upset and cross, it was as if she didn't love me anymore. Luckily, I told my kind-hearted support worker all about it, and she said she was going to find me someone I can talk to about my ongoing arguments with my family, much like a softer Jeremy Kyle - except without the upsetting scenes! Alright, then, today I will try my best to use my superpowers - focusing on a single object when I get stressed apart from the mirror I made, watching other stuff when other things stress me out, finding out if my stress is illogical or logical and asking for quiet time whenever I'm about to get angry, shout, whine or scream or act like a four year old.
You should use your superpowers too!
