Express Yourself - Do You See Yourself As A Comedian, Or Are You Super Serious?
I like to think of myself as a major comedian. I like making one-liners, telling puns and jokes that aren't too horrible and putting up brisk, sarky comments about the moaning and awkwardness of life.
Express Yourself - 29.8.21
I can't go out with Mairi today....but thank God! There's lots of things that I can do at home.
Fun At Home: Dark Side Of The Zen, Timothy & A Picnic With Heffalumps
I can't go out with Mairi today...but what a relief! I'm ready for Sunday, and there's lots of things that you can do at home.
My day started when I set the Zenimation episode 'Serenity' to the Cinematic Orchestra's 'To Build A Home'. To my surprise, Mum told me the music fitted really well with the images, for example when Belle from Beauty & The Beast is walking out of her cottage, the lyrics begin: "There is a house built out of stone, wooden floors, walls and windowsills." I tried to do the same to other episodes - BTS for Kindness, They Might Be Giants for Levity and Maurice Ravel for Snowscapes. It's like making Dark Side Of The Rainbow, but without Pink Floyd and with different artists and Disney characters!
The look on Old Chief's face when Copper slept with him in that clip from 'Kindness' - doesn't that melt your heart?
All for one and one for all!Appreciate the little things in life.
...said a fox who enjoyed little cakes.

Altogether now: "There is a house built out of stone...wooden floors, walls and windowsills..."
Next, we made the dinosaur cake that I was going to make with Mairi before I received the news that she got pinged. It was fun putting together the ingredients, including beating the eggs and putting the butter, sugar and flour into the mixture. Everything was like the time when Noddy prepared for Big Ears' birthday by baking a cake by putting it in the oven and accidentally burning it, and then putting the milk pint into the bottle. You gotta believe that when I heard milk pouring sounds for when Noddy told Mr. Milko about getting Big Ears a cocoa mug with toadstools on it, I thought Noddy was weeing into the mixture. Toys don't have bladders, they don't even have urine! Since when have we ever seen Noddy go to the toilet?!
After this, I got to work on doing more Zenimation alternate soundtracks. First, I did Flight, where it was set to Wings Of An Eagle by Ziggy Marley and Elizabeth Mitchell. It fit really well because it included images of Cody and Marahute from The Rescuers Down Under flying in the air and on sea.
Next, I set Explore to Speck Of Gold by Afterlife.

Night came next, and I set it to 'Fade To Black' by Dire Straits, because there were some romantic moments from some Disney films that were set at night.

We moved onto Nature, where I set it to What A Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong.

We did Serenity again before we moved onto Water Realms, where I set scenes involving Winnie The Pooh, Lilo & Stitch, Moana and Brother Bear to La Mer by Claude Debussy.
It's Winnie The Pooh!

It's Winnie The Pooh!

Mum complained that La Mer sounded like an angry sea and not a calm sea, so she recommended I watch the episode again, this time set it to Morcheeba's 'The Sea'. Like with Serenity, the music in the song rose and fell with the character's actions and scene changes, especially at the beginning of the second chorus when Kenai dived underwater with the other bears at the Salmon Run, where Tug lives and where I got inspiration for my story...guess...Salmon Run. Won't Ma and Pa be proud?
Winnie The Pooh and Christopher Robin.

The final episode of the 2020 season of Zenimation was Levity, where it showed not only slapstick and Disney characters pulling faces, but also hilarious scenes that encourage pleasure in little delights, urges to take things slowly and one important lesson from Flash the Sloth from Zootopia, who ends the episode by slowly turning his frown into a smile to remind us...KEEP SMILING! I set it to Birdhouse In Your Soul by They Might Be Giants. They Might Be Giants composed songs for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, another Disney property. It fitted really well with the episode, especially when you see Mowgli and Hathi Jr marching to the music.

With Mum and Grandma watching the news in the living room, I continued the alternate soundtrack mixing in my room, where I started with Rain. I set the clips to TLC's Waterfalls.

TLC also did the song 'No Scrubs', which I find very groovy.
For Everyday Comforts, I failed to find the song 'Give Me The Simple Life' by June Christy, not even 'Everything Has Changed' by Ed Sheeran, but what I did use is 'Nice Weather For Ducks' by Lemon Jelly.
Sorry about the lack of picture there.

I set Natural Wonders to One Day by Matisyahu, whose cover of 'Circle Of Life' was featured on Disney Reggae Club.
Fantasia 2000. I can't believe they added sound over these clips just for this series.

Transformation fuses Kida's transformation from Atlantis with other transformation sequences from other Disney films, and to fit perfectly with that is David Bowie's Changes Changes.
I chose Only Love by Ben Howard as an alternate soundtrack to Waterways.

Next is Kindness, and I set it to BTS' Dynamite again.
Look at Old Chief's face. Don't you feel you realize he changed his ways?

Finally, it's Snowscapes. I set it to the equally calming Pavane For A Dead Princess by Maurice Ravel.

Next, we went to a picnic in Heffalump Wood. It was really healthy, especially without the salad like I expected, but the wood was too crowded, but the upside is two dogs. I even saw one of the visitors had a caravan! This is why, boys and girls, you should never go out on weekends, especially with your support workers.
When we got home, we got to work on icing and cutting up pieces of the cake to make our dinosaur. We made the icing green using food colouring. It was tricky cutting up the cake to make a dinosaur shape, but it was fun putting the icing and chocolate buttons on the dinosaur cake, just like on Wendy's Birthday Cake game from my old Bob The Builder CD rom. I named my cake Timothy, after the main character of old Tiny Pop show 'Timothy Goes To School'. My dinosaur Timothy loves skateboarding, playing video games and munching carrots instead of meat.Timothy!
This has certainly been the best day ever. I hope, I certainly truly really absolutely hope, that Siobhan will take me out next Thursday, then my life will finally be complete. No wait, it won't. Not without Scream Street.
You know what I'm going to do next?
....
EAT TIMOTHY UP! MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
