The '90s toy brand Puppy Surprise actually got a re haul in the 2010's to coincide with the popularity of such stuff as MLP: Friendship Is Magic.
Animaniacs became popular in the '90s due to its variety show format and self-aware humor, which was unique for its time unlike other cartoons of the time.
