Some Sad News....

I'm afraid I have some very bad news: in two weeks, Scream Street will go away and will be replaced by Odd Squad. In fact, when I saw it I got so upset I cried as I - well, the good news is I wrote a letter to CBBC, and if they get my letter, maybe they'll change their mind. This is why you should never work for a squad of kids who solve problems like an alien has become your roommate or there is someone narrating every move you make. And I don't WANT to see kids learning about math, I want to see MONSTERS! Even for someone my age, Scream Street is very helpful to people with autism, as it contains a street full of freaks and characters like Resus, Luella and Dr. Skulley are examples of the autism spectrum.

But, the other good news is that on the week Scream Street gets replaced, you'll see Scream Street on BBC Alba, dubbed into Gaelic, so instead on that week, I'll do 'Smuain Sraid Nan Sgread na Seachdain' which means I'll do my thought of the day for 'Mirror Mirror' in Gaelic.

Scream Street Thought Of The Day - The Zombie Body Shop

When someone tries to seduce you, it means you can't resist temptation. Temptation is irresistable to humans....or monsters if you happen to live in Scream Street. For example, if you're a vampire like Resus, you can't resist the urge to listen to Brain Drain's latest album. If you're a half-dog like Dig, you cannot resist a full bag of dog biccies. And if you're Sir Otto Sneer, all you desire is greed and power, but seduction is sexy and irresistible, for when you want to look attractive and slim and wearing nude-coloured clothing to attract a man into eating the fruit of Eden, like Adam and Eve when the world began and when they met the serpent. But today's episode of Scream Street happens to have a scene which completely explains seduction in a nutshell: when Doug falls asleep in the graveyard, Cleo falls asleep too, in fact she stays there until morning, and the close up of her face when she nods off is really hypnotic and seducing, almost wanting to make YOU fall asleep along with her. And it's about to begin....waaaaiiiiit....uh oh, seduction has just begun, Cleo's seducing you, keep your eyes open! Uh oh....you're asleep. If you're awake, then I'm glad you survived this scene, as seduction rarely happens in Scream Street, only during sexy moments that I cannot describe. Cleo looks extremely sexy and seductive upon first look, as she looks more like a natural woman than a girl, mainly because she's 4,000 years old. When you feel seduction, you can't resist - your skin hairs begin standing on end, you begin to drool, your eyes can't stay open anymore and you have the urge to eat, follow, do it, watch it, sneeze on it, vomit on your parents - if you happen to be a sick vampire, that is. Seduction is the right way women on Scream Street attract men, like Luella with Resus, Dig with Lulu, and you choose other couples that happen to live in Scream Street. No, wait, I've thought of another couple! Doug and Davina! Do zombies believe in seduction, too? Yes. Why? Because if you want to seduce a zombie girl over to your place for dinner, attract her with surfer dude words like 'dude' and 'bogus' and wear the right perfume for the right occasions, like perfume that smells of bin bag juice or rotting rubbish. Or, right now, a lovely song performed by Brain Drain as you hang out in the graveyard and do....do....AAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRGGHH!!! I don't know what men do with women when they want to make a baby, but when they do make a baby, you don't want to know.

Scream Street Thought Of The Day - Takeaway Of Terror

When you taste things, you taste food. Mainly food, nothing like rubbish. What do you taste when you eat? Chocolate? Pizza? Fruit? The last bit of your family dinner? Or....maybe a burger? In real life, meat can give you cancer and that isn't healthy, so you can't taste meat. But you can't taste a burger filled with meat either, you can eat a burger filled with nice things like lettuce and cheese rather than cancer-causing products like meat or bacon. What you can taste from the memory of eating a burger is the chips that go with it, the mustard and ketchup too, and the Scream Street residents can taste it too, if you happen to eat at Otto Burger. But later on in the episode, it feels like Otto has put rats in his burgers, like Burt almost did with Zoe's dancing rat in David Walliams' 'Ratburger'. You can taste strange things when in Scream Street, but when you eat rat burgers, imagine how rats taste. They taste of rubbish, that's what, and rat's meat is far worse to taste, as some might come from the sewer and are covered in bin bag juice. Some have the plague, which might be worse, as Rattus declared when you watch Horrible Histories. But you can taste other safer things too, like juice or cupcakes or ice cream or carrot sticks....but not poisonous things! I heard mushrooms can be poisonous, so it's safe to know which ones are safe to eat or put in cream of mushroom soup and which ones are not safe to eat. But the challenge is; can you taste the residents of Scream Street? I'm afraid some of them won't taste nice, as some are slimy and tough to eat, like Mr. Crudley, who has a good sense of taste. I know another resident who has a good sense of taste apart from the massively obese Mr. and Mrs. Crudley: Dig. Dig has a good tongue to taste things, even when he is turned into a rat and eating cheese out of a rubbish bin in today's episode, so when he tastes things, he makes sure it's either fresh food, dog biccies or gnawed dog bones. But when he eats and swallows, you'd better be sure of the trail of food he leaves behind, because whenever he eats something and digests it, it comes out of his other half, and it is REVOLTING! But eating things without them coming out your other end is a much sensible thing to do. Tell that to Luke, Resus and Cleo. And now I'm hungry....are you?

It's double the trouble with Mildred and Luella!

Wednesday 22nd March 2017:

Fed up with only being able to do witch things like fly a broom, Mildred calls upon Luella to plan a day full of their favourite non-witch activities. First, they make a dramatic monster movie, with Mildred dressed up in a hot green fluffy monster costume. Mildred at least tries to make herself look fierce, but accidentally changes into a baby dragon due to sophisticated magic and changes back. Making a monster movie? FAILED! Next they try baking a cake. They put in eggs, flour, sugar, butter and lots and lots of chocolate, and stir it about using magic. Well, at least the magic can come in useful for when you're baking a cake, but as soon as the cake comes out perfect, Luella tries to help with the chocolate icing. However, due to a mishap, the chocolate icing turns yellow! Never mind, can't be helped. Baking a cake? SUCCESS! Next they go to the beach and gather seashells, but see someone surfing nearby and desperately want to try. It takes a little bit of time and effort, but Mildred manages to surf with waves, and even she and Luella share a surfboard together, until the crashing wave causes them to wipe out. Surfing? SUCCESS - ALMOST! Mildred and Luella celebrate their day with ice cream and think about what to do next. "Put on...this week's Worst Witch?" asks Luella. "We've deserved it," smiles Mildred, high-fiving Luella.

Wednesday 29th March 2017:

Mildred visits Cackles' Academy and asks Miss Cackle how she liked The Worst Witch. She reveals she, the teachers and all the students liked it, and their series has been a great success. But it is then that the horrifying truth about The Worst Witch is revealed: all this time, they've been basing spells used in the series on questions Luella frequently asks Mildred. Miss Hardbroom and Miss Cackle spy on Luella when she's asking Mildred a question, and then turn the question into an episode, like "How can you become a frog and live its life?" or "What makes you so small you could fit into another's shoes?" Irritated, Mildred runs away and climbs up onto the roof of Cackles. High up, she sees Luella hanging on for dear life and asks why she had to ask so many questions. "Because I was curious," shudders Luella. The two are now stuck on the roof with no way down, and Mildred nervously thinks back to the episode 'Spelling Bee' when she and her cat Tabby were stuck on top of the steeple and Miss Hardbroom had to use her magic to get her down. Whilst the final episode of series 1 of The Worst Witch airs on CBBC, the two dumb witches are forced to spend the whole day atop the roof, in fact they are forced to stay here for the whole night until they see a light in the distance. It's the CBBC plane, and Ben Shires and Eefa are piloting it. Excited, the two witches call "We're over here!" and "Come and rescue us!" Eefa is relieved to see her niece had made it without an injury, and the two board the plane and head back to CBBC. "Even though The Worst Witch has ended, we promise the world that there'll be another season as long as we're besties for life." smiles Mildred. "Promise?" "Promise," sighs Luella, happily.

Scream Street Thought Of The Day - Blood Is Thicker Than Water

All vampires, like Resus and his family, have pale skin. Since Resus can't fit in with other vampires and isn't born a vampire, he has sensitive skin unlike his parents, who have smooth, pale skin. Resus tries to be pale like his parents by placing white make up on his skin. When I say so, I'm saying that Resus uses baby powder on his skin, and this is very dangerous, as it can cause ovarian cancer. But lucky Resus didn't get ovarian cancer, as it didn't go up his nose. Resus needs to take more care of his skin than anyone else in Scream Street, as every night he has to take a relaxing bubble bath after a hard day at school or hanging out with his friends at Eefa's or living a vampire's hectic life, and a little me time is what this shampire deserves. What I do know is that he takes a bath every night before he goes to bed, so he surrounds himself in soft, skin-friendly bubbles and lies back in clean, warm water. If I were with him, I'd share a sensitive skin-friendly bath with him, at first staying out of the bath and massaging his shoulders, sides and legs, and then taking my clothes off, getting into the bath and continue massaging him, even massaging his delicate feet and toes. However, if you want to share a bath with the shampire, please don't splash him, as he is prone to splashing, but sometimes joins in. The bath in the Negatives' house is small so there's not enough room for three people, but a bath fits two people, so sharing a bath to care for sensitive skin is kind of great. There are other ways to care for sensitive skin, like products endorsed with aloe vera, a natural plant that has rich ingredients that are kind to sensitive skin. Cream is also an option, as poor Resus might be prone to eczema, a skin condition that makes him itch like crazy, just like itch bugs that roam in the forests of Scream Street. However, if he has to take care of his skin then he might have to take all his clothes off. So caring for Resus' sensitive skin is done this way: cream, bath. Simple. First, Resus applies cream to his skin, then has a bath to care for his sensitive skin, that way it makes him soothed and prepared for bed. However, just in case his parents see him in the buff, he has to shut the door and call "Don't come in until I've finished!" That, my friends, is how I found out about Resus' bedtime routine. Before he cleans his teeth and changes into his pyjamas, he applies cream to his skin and has a nice, bubbly bath. I wish I could share it with him, then it would be a more soothing vampire bedtime for the both of us - and for Lulu and for Resus' parents, too. Sharing a bath with Resus might do his sensitive vampire skin the world of good, and a nice bath would do other vampires good as well.
