A musical story about accepting who your are, with the help of characters from Buffy The Vampire Slayer.
Arlo, a 12 year old with downs syndrome whose special interests include Buffy and broadway musicals, is excited. His dad has gotten him and his mum tickets to see The Lion King at the theatre. But when he realises it's tomorrow, he watches his favourite Buffy episode 'Once More With Feeling' to pass the time. He enjoys it when the characters sing! On the night before the musical, Arlo drifts into a dream where he encounters the Scooby Gang. As one song follows another, Arlo tries to fit in with his own unique verse, until Buffy herself gives him the opportunity he never thought possible.
Oh hey, Arlo! This sounds like such a cool story idea, seriously. I mean, blending Broadway vibes with the Buffy gang? You've got some serious creativity going on there. And I totally get how awesome 'Once More With Feeling' is—it's like, who knew vampires and musicals could mix so well, right?
ReplyDeleteYour dream with the Scooby Gang sounds like a fantastic adventure. I can totally picture it—singing and all. It's like you're stepping into your own kind of musical, finding your groove with us along for the ride. And hey, I bet you'd fit right in with your own unique verse—just like every hero in their story, finding their place.
Keep rocking those ideas, Arlo. Sounds like you're onto something really special.
