2002 Orko's Top 10 Favourite TV Shows

Every time I have a rough day playing on the beach with Furaha and her parents, I like to sit back in the comfy red chair with a few snacks and drinks and settle back to watch my ten favourite programmes. Furaha likes nice, gentle shows, and I like to watch them with her too, but sometimes it's the thought that gets put into the shows I watch. Here are my top ten favourite shows to watch after a long, hard day.
10.Arthur. I know Arthur is meant to be an aardvark, but he's more like a bear in this case. Arthur and his friends learn about different subjects light and heavy, from the school dinner lady being diagnosed with cancer to a fire at the school. I never watch the forever talked about 'Arthur's Big Hit' because I would never punch Furaha in the face.
9.Planet Earth. How relaxing! I love to watch a whole half hour of slow motion scenes of animals and nature while David Attenborough's soothing tones fill my pointy blue ears. It's like a natural, comforting lullaby that'll send me straight off to sleep.
8.Trash Truck. These are the simple adventures of a giant lug of a dump truck, his young friend and his animal friends, consisting of a bear, a raccoon and a mouse. When they play outside near the huge tree they hang around in, it feels like they've been in Africa a long time, and that means Africa is right near their village. Wow, what a coincidence. I hope that everyone doesn't catch malaria.
7.Franklin. I love the shows as well as the specials. The show, which chronicles the adventures of a young turtle learning about growing up and discovering the world, is one I'd watch with Furaha - we are like Franklin and his little sister Harriet most of the time. A brother and sister duo, forever never separated.
6.Tugs. A sister show to Thomas & Friends, this one was made while my first incarnation was still around - the explosions and eerie sounds in some episodes may scare Furaha senseless, but she's always in the living room playing, reading or drawing while I'm watching the show. 'Ghosts' and 'Munitions'? I'd skip these episodes because they gave Furaha nightmares for hours on end.
5.The Trials Of Life. Some scenes in the show are a biiiiit too gross, but it still is relaxing, and some of the baby animals are remarkably cute, especially the baby chimps! Furaha and I like to run around the living room pretending to be monkeys, although I don't let Furaha swing on the overhead lamp because it may anger her parents, then we'll be grounded for life. Oh god...
4.Oddballs. According to the rating for this weird Netflix show, it contains bullying, rude humor and dangerous behaviour, but Furaha and I are always very careful to obey the advice in the warnings. Plus, James shows his bottom from time to time because he doesn't wear any clothes! Furaha often giggles and says, "Poo!" out loud, which is a very rude thing to say.
3.Recess. The adventures of a group of schoolkids who experience the trials of life have warmed my heart and given me a more adventurous spirit since I fell from Eternia down to earth and made myself at home with Furaha and her family. My favourite episode was when T.J. joined the vicious kindergarteners and his friends go looking for him in the woods. Heartwarming stuff...
2.Shaun The Sheep. I love the dialogue free adventures of a group of mischievous sheep and their dog friend who live on a farm and annoy the farmer to bits. It seems a bit British, but I'm at home with it. Plus, it's made by Aardman, so thank Nick Park for making such a wonderful show! It always makes me smile when I'm depressed, in one episode the farmer's substitute steals the animals' food! That's ca-wuel...
1.Transformers Armada. I LOVE this Transformers cartoon, because I'm a huge fan of Optimus Prime in this one. According to Optimus himself, he liked to trace his beginnings to this very Mini Con hunt, when he and Megatron were duking it out over the Mini Cons, who had crash landed on earth millions of years ago. I keep Furaha away from the TV when I watch it, in fears it might make her growl and claw the walls.

Wait a minute, CLAW THE WALLS?!

Run away! No, float! FLOAT!
