Gym Sweat

A BLUE BACKGROUND

With a DING, this message appears in white writing on the screen:

‘How do monsters keep fit?’

Hold a beat. Then, with a POP, the response to the joke appears underneath it:

‘They jog on a dreadmill.’

OPENING TITLE CARD: “GYM SWEAT”

Above the title card is a weight, with sweat all over it dripping onto the background.

INT. SILVERBACK FITNESS & GYM. DAY.

Luke, not wearing a shirt at all and wearing just his jeans, is lying on a table lifting some weights with all his strength. He is sweating, grunting and groaning as he does.

Resus is running on the treadmill, wearing a white vest and a fitness headband, sweating as he tries to keep track of how fast he’s going.

Cleo is boxing with a punching bag, huffing and puffing in exhaustion as she tries to punch her way through, exhausted and, like her brothers, covered in sweat.

Luke lifts…

Resus runs…

Cleo punches…

We see CLOSE-UPS of Luke, Resus and Cleo’s heads, all covered in a huge amount of sweat from working out too much.

FLASH TO WHITE

CUT TO BLACK.

IN DARKNESS:

We hear:

LUKE/RESUS/CLEO

(VO, in unison)

We’re so stressed!

FADE TO WHITE

FADE IN:

EXT. BEACH. A BRIGHT SUMMER’S DAY.

Luke, Resus, Cleo and Sybil race down the sandy hills and roll down it onto the beach. They all hug, and Sybil tickles Resus.

Sybil applies suncream onto Luke’s skin, while Cleo applies suncream to Resus’ pale, sensitive skin.

Sybil, Luke and Cleo help set up their tent, while Resus digs a hole in the sand with his spade.

Dig and Lulu chase each other and roll about on the sand.

Luke, Resus, Cleo and Sybil sit on the shore and wait for the tide to come in. Once it does, it splashes all over them, causing them to laugh happily.

Cleo lies on the sand, sunbathing. She looks like a model in a Summer fashion magazine.

Sybil, Luke, Resus and Cleo race across the sand, laughing, until they fall over each other and cuddle up next to each other in a heap on the soft sand.

DISSOLVE TO:

FULL SHOT - BEACH

Some seagulls fly by, and we can see Sybil and her older siblings in the distance.
