I used to see Scooby Doo & The Cyber Chase as a kid on Boomerang, and it proved to be a great history lesson - much better than Horrible Histories on CBBC, with its repetitive sketches and Sharon Miller-like tone - with the gang visiting various locations in history and helping their red-collared red-shirted counterparts of Scooby and Shaggy perform various crazy antics on the monsters at the fair. But! Was it a cash grab to help The Learning Company sell their Scooby Doo CD roms? This film may look like The Magic School Bus, a show I used to watch on Pop, but I never played the Scooby CD roms, only ones like Teletubbies and Noddy, so I think these CD roms were basically inspired by the popularity of Cyber Chase because the Scooby Gang seem to like being educational game stars.
