Last year's Scooby Doo 50th anniversary film, Curse Of The 13th Ghost, gave us fond memories of the classic Scooby Doo show The 13 Ghosts Of Scooby Doo. Oh all the Scooby mysteries I should've seen in the last few years - fans got to draw pictures of Scooby having a big birthday cake with Shaggy!
To me, the original 13 Ghosts Of Scooby Doo series is like a 1980's version of the old American PBS series Ghostwriter. I love comparing Boomerang series to other movies and TV series, and this 13 Ghosts Of Scooby Doo thing, which I may or may not have watched as a kid on Boomerang in the 2000's, is one of them.Just like Scooby Doo, Ghostwriter aired on the BBC as part of its children's strand - yep, CBBC knows what to do when they add PBS shows for older children onto the channel or strand to appeal to younger viewers, such as Odd Squad and Arthur.
