Argan Oil - A Happiness Tip

Argan oil is the sweetest scent that comes from Morocco. My hairdresser used it to make my curly hair smell lovely!

A little tip of freshener enthusiasts: instead of air freshener, why not use argan oil spray? It'll make your room smell a lot sweeter - sweet as candy!

Mmmmmm....candy?

CANDY!!!

And now, a tip from Lady Penelope:

"Darling Susan, next time you're in the shower, why not let your support workers help you enjoy the silky touch of argan oil? It’s ever so soft and nourishing, like a gentle hug for your skin. Let the warm water rinse away the day, and as the oil melts into your hands, feel its smoothness as it glides across your arms and shoulders. Close your eyes and imagine you're in a spa fit for a queen—because you deserve every bit of comfort and care."

The Wild Woman & Her Daughter - Part 2

After a while of cuddling, Penelope suddenly felt tired. She snuggled onto the floor of the cave and held me by her side, just in case she doesn’t have any nightmares. Her gentle breathing lulled me to sleep in no time at all.

Giving birth to me was one of the hardest times Penelope ever had to face, and upon doing it alone, she knew she had made a massive achievement - not just for herself, but for me, too. I was going to be her future pride and joy for years to come, even when I leave her at adulthood to start a new life. This childhood I have will be the best I’ll ever have. We’ll talk about this later.

Anyway, Penelope felt safe and dry in the warmth of the cave, as I did too. I did smell a little funny from being born, but it didn’t matter, because I will be fragrant again in just a few months. For now, I’ll rely on Penelope to protect and comfort me, as usual, only a mother would. For she isn’t just my mother at all, she is my sister.

1 month passed, and I had developed a lot since I was born. I had now finally learned to crawl, but Penelope stayed in the cave for at least one month, and all the animals were starting to wonder where she was. Now, a month later, she was going to take me out into the plain for the first time.

Carrying me in her safe arms, Penelope took me out into the grasslands, as the sun shone brightly and butterflies fluttered all around us. I wanted to catch some of them, but they flew out of my grasp. Luckily, Penelope was gentle and tender with nature itself, and let one of the butterflies land on her soft fingers. She let it crawl onto my nose, causing me to giggle and wiggle my little feet. However, as the butterfly fluttered away, I didn’t cry once.

The savannah wasn’t as dangerous as I thought - it was a peaceful, soft place, filled with the friendliest animals anyone had ever encountered, even on safari - although, no humans come to this part of Africa.

Penelope sat down and laid me on the ground, watching as my strong little arms and legs allowed me to crawl for the very first time. All the time, Penelope was clapping and calling out things like “You can do it!” and “Oh, Sybil, you’re simply wonderful when you do that.”

I was trying to chase another butterfly at first, but then I found a small hornbill chick, and crawled after it as it flew away. I crawled along the tall, spindly grasses, with Penelope following me, as if she’s a mother leopard following her cubs - protective, comforting and full of love.

I was crawling towards the water hole, and I was amazed by my reflection in the crystal clear water. Penelope, knowing she hadn’t had anything to drink in a month, started to take a refreshing drink from the water hole. A few gulps cleared her dry-as-a-desert throat. There, of course, were even more discoveries to find in this part of Africa.

Hairbrush

It was one of those days when Penelope had that kind of pillow head hair, with little strands of blonde sticking up here and there. So much that after she brushed her teeth and woken up a little bit, she sat in front of her mirror and brushed her hair with her soft-bristled pink hairbrush. Penelope felt soothed by the effect of the brush on her hair, and once all the strands had been smoothed out, Penelope felt absolutely gorgeous.

Then I ran in. "Can you do my hair, too?" I asked. "Of course, darling," she smiled, and started brushing my curly brunette hair, which was different from Penelope's hair of course, but we didn't care. Despite not being related by blood due to me being adopted by her as a baby, she still loves me and my hair very much. We all have different hair, whether curly or natural, and we are proud of it.

I felt soothed as much as Penelope by the soft bristles, and when she had finished, she stroked my hair and said: "Don't you look pretty?" I nodded, then went round behind Penny and took the brush, stating: "Now I'll do your hair again!" Despite Penny doing it a first time, she reluctantly agreed and sighed in contentment as I brushed, and brushed, and brushed, and brushed. Then I noticed Parker standing in the doorway. "Mind if I brush the greys of your hair too, Parker?" I asked. "If you must, me little lady," he sighed softly.

Besties For Life

Hello, my darlings, I'm Rarity, and I'm going to tell you about my unforgettable day spent with my best friend Tin Tin.

It started off as a normal, regular day on Tracy Island, but then when I arrived, Tin Tin could barely contain her excitement and ran to hug me. Of course, Alan was jealous by this and wished he had a pony friend of his own, but Jeff told him not to worry, because Scott has a friend too - Princess Celestia. Tin Tin and I then got on to the day's business of spending time together.

First, we painted each other's nails using the finest nail polish from the Carousel Boutique - Tin Tin wanted red, but I chose pink. It was faaaaaaa-bu-looooous! Once the nail polish had dried off, we took a few selfies of our nails, and I posted them to my Marespace page to share with all my fans - and any bronies or pegasisters who have MySpace accounts. Grandma then treated us to some delicious chocolate muffins, which we both found very delicious - mmmmmmmmmmmmm!! However, it made me too wild and crazy due to the sugar that goes in the chocolate, and I chased Tin Tin around the house in a playful game of tag, then had a raucous pillow fight on her bed. Scott was having a conversation with Virgil in the living room, but he was so annoyed, he covered his ears. Besties for life, hmmm?!

You Won't Be Seeing That Again...

This cinema promo for 'Sarah & Friends: Full Of Fun' starts out just like this trailer, but then suddenly, Parker appears and says: "You won't be seeing that again. What you will be seeing instead is this...."

It then shows my toddler self safe and snug in bed, as Parker looks on in an adored way. He then picks me up in his arms and cuddles me gently and softly. Lady Penelope then appears and whispers, "Ssssshhhhhh..." at us before the title of the comic collection appears.

Cuddly Blanket

One night, Lady Penelope and I were camping out in the peaceful meadow, closer to nature, under the stars. After having a sumptuous supper and washing it down with glasses of hot cocoa, we lay on the grass and looked up at the sky. We spotted the different Constellations that roamed the night air, such as Scorpio, Torus, Leo and Ursa Major. At one point when talking about Leo the lion, I gave a big, loud RRRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAARRRR!! "Okay, okay, stop now, you're making me lose my hearing!" laughed Penelope. "I was just pretending to be Leo," I sighed, and we both laughed happily.

After our little Constellation viewing session, it was time for bed. We crawled into our huge pink tent and snuggled onto the safe, comforting floor, covering ourselves with a soft, thick, big duvet/blanket. "It feels so safe and warm," I sighed, yawning. "It really does," smiled Penelope, "I feel like I'm sleeping inside a great big white cloud." "Me too," I corrected, "It feels so luxurious." We saw our feet sticking out from the end of the duvet, and started wiggling our toes and laughing. After a moment, we got tired and snuggled down to sleep under our thick, warm blanket, my head filling with dreams about meeting the Constellations up close and roaring loudly with Leo. Even Lady Penelope was there, a beautiful Constellation queen dressed in gold. It's those moments of happiness that make our hearts whole.

Royal Baby

It was on this rainy night in October when a baby lioness cub was left outside a grand, majestic, ancient castle. This castle belonged to Orko, a small, loving wizard who always wanted a little sister, and when he saw the baby left outside the door, he cuddled her close and whispered soft words into her ear. From then on, Orko decided to adopt the cub as his own little sister, naming her 'Furaha'.

In the next few days, Orko and Furaha had fun playing together. Orko would feed Furaha fresh milk out of a bottle, and she would always be full and happy. They would play a favourite game together: Furaha would hide under pink silk sheets and Orko would cheekily look for her, calling out gently: "Come out, come out, wherever you are...." Then he'd lift the sheets off the bed, and there was Furaha, smiling and laughing away. Orko would swoop his baby sister in his arms and cuddle her, to which Furaha showed her love by cuddling back.

There was this grand, soft, comfortable bed in the greatest bedroom of the palace, where Furaha and Orko slept peacefully together. Orko would lie Furaha beside him in bed and stroke her soft fur until he got very tired. Then he would lie beside her in his soft, warm pyjamas, feeling like being a big brother was incredibly hard work.

Ruler

One day in the park, Bluey was having a tea party with her friends Chloe and Honey. "Only princesses have royal tea parties," Chloe teased. "It would be much better if queens hosted royal tea parties instead of princesses." That gave Bluey an idea. "Oh yeah? Well...watch me."

Bluey put on a plastic crown she'd been saving and began to walk regally on a red carpet that just randomly appeared out of nowhere, as Mackenzie, Rusty and Jack started to play the trumpets, signalising the queen is coming. Bluey then sat on a golden throne and bowed as all the children in the playground cheered her arrival. "Thank you," said Bluey in a very posh voice, "From now on, I'll be a very good queen."

So all day long this went on. Bluey hosted royal tea parties, talked to her subjects and even knighted her dad, until....

"BLUEY!"

At once, Bluey snapped out of her fantasy and saw her mum and her little sister Bingo looking at her in amusement. "You're such a rascalish little queen," laughed Chilli, "Now let's go home, it's getting late." "No queen dares quit their job!" shouted Bluey as she and her family went home.

Happiness Tips: Storytime With Kiara

  • Create a Familiar Signal with Kiara: When it’s almost story time, gently introduce the Kiara plush to Susan, maybe holding it close to her with a calm smile. You might say something simple like, “Look, Kiara’s here! She’s ready for a story with us.” Over time, this cue can help her recognise that something lovely and calming is about to happen.

  • Gentle Transitions with Kiara: Use Kiara to guide her into a cozy spot—whether on a couch, a bed, or wherever she’s most comfortable. Keep the movement slow and reassuring, letting Kiara “walk” toward the story spot, or perhaps softly rub the plush’s soft fur on her hand, letting her feel the warmth of this routine.

  • Softly Introduce the Story: Start with a soothing introduction. For example, you could say, “Kiara and I have a story about Lady Penelope and Parker, and how they went on an adventure just for you.” This personal touch can help Susan feel connected and engaged.

  • Bring Lady Penelope and Parker to Life Gently: As you begin the story, use a soft, calm tone to describe the comforting aspects of your adventures. For example, you might share how Lady Penelope and Parker look out for each other, take gentle steps, or find cozy places to rest. Keeping the scenes light and calming, with words like “safe,” “happy,” and “warm,” can help make her feel enveloped in the story’s warmth.

  • A Calming Ending Ritual: When the story is over, you can use Kiara again to signal the close. Try something simple like letting Kiara give a “hug” or a gentle “nuzzle” on Susan’s hand or cheek. Then, softly say something like, “Kiara says, ‘Goodnight,’ and she’ll be back for another story soon.”
