The Great Lobster Migration

On a little fishing boat in the sea, Scooby and Shaggy were out waiting to reel in the big one. Today was the perfect day to go fishing, and Scooby Doo was up for a good taste of fish for supper - especially with chips, because to a dog, no fish would be complete without chips. Scooby and Shaggy were waiting quite a long time, and Scooby was getting rather fidgety, even though he was told to keep still. To a dog, keeping still means the fishies will come. Suddenly, he had an idea. He threw his lame old fishing rod away and dipped his tail into the water. To a dog, dipping its tail in the water is the best way to catch fish easier. Keeping his tail quite still, Scooby sat on the side of the boat and waited for his big catch.

“You know, Scoob, you’re super like skilled at catching fish your way. I think that with enough patience, someday you’ll I CAUGHT SOMETHING!” “You’ll I caught something?” asked Scooby, but when Shaggy reeled in his catch, he was disappointed to find that it was only an old kettle, dropped in by some raggedy antiques store owner while he was out fishing, too. At the same time, Scooby felt something bite down on his tail. “ROW!!” he shouted, and lifted his tail out the water to reveal…a lobster! “Wow, Scoob, I’ve never seen something this beautiful and red before.” said Shaggy, running up to get a closer look. But the more Shaggy leaned closer and closer towards the lobster…it let go of Scooby’s tail and pinched him on the nose. HONK! It then blew a raspberry and leapt into the water. It was followed by another lobster. And another. And another.

In an instant, the boat was surrounded by lobsters, all making their way out to sea. Shaggy took out the Sealife Knowledge book and consulted it. “It says here that the lobster always swim south for the Winter. And hey, it’s January right now, isn’t it?” “No, it’s August.” said Scooby. “Well, I’m like certain it’s January. Let me check the calendar.” Shaggy ran down to quarters to check his calendar. It really did say, 6th January! He ran up and grabbed Scooby in a vicious hug. “It IS January! Quick, Scoob, set the boat to full speed! We’re going after these lobsters.” Scooby put on his motorcycle helmet and ran to the captain’s wheel. He pressed a red button, and brakes appeared near his hind paws. “No brakes, NO BRAKES!” cried Scooby, and pressed his foot down hard on the pedal.

VROOM! The boat set off at top speed across the water, with Shaggy holding on for dear life. “HELP!” he cried.

Small Paws

It was getting dark outside the little beach house where baby Furaha and her family lived. Orko had just brushed his (exposed) teeth and magically changed into his soft, cosy pyjamas, while his baby sister Furaha had a nice warm bath. She was already dried and, as Orko floated into the living room, he saw Ua cradling the little lioness cub in her arms. Orko thought this was adorable, and floated up to his mother to gently look at his sister. “She’s so cute,” whispered Orko. “I know she is. You told me that the moment you arrived on our planet, Orko.” said Ua softly. “Would you like to hold Furaha?” “Me? Oh yes, I would love to.” Orko said happily.

Ua gave Furaha to Orko, and he gently sat down on the soft sofa to stroke, pat and comfort the soft little lioness. The look in Orko’s eyes was warm and soft as he tickled Furaha’s soft tummy. Furaha reached her paws out to touch Orko’s exposed face, and the clumsy Trollan wizard, now a careful big brother, reached out to touch Furaha paw-to-hand. “Aaaaaaawwww…” sighed Orko, and hugged the sweet little cub gently. Furaha began to purr, safely tucked up in Orko’s arms. Furaha’s light, deep purring filled Orko’s pointy ears. Wrrrrrrrrr…wrrrrrrrr….wrrrrrrrrrr.

“Oh Furaha,” sighed Orko, stroking Furaha, “I’ve never known such a beautiful little baby as you. You’re the missing puzzle piece in my life, and I’m glad you fit into it. You and your parents. You yourself are the milk in my cereal. The forbidden apple on the tree of life. The bubbles in my bath. The fingers on my nimble hands. You’re the softness on my bed. You’re all this and more…oh, I love you so much, Furaha.” Kiburi and Ua watched with warm smiles as their daughter was stroked and hugged by the greatest wizard in Trolla. “Looks like she loves you,” said Ua. “I think she really does love me.” said Orko, softly.

Furaha snuggled into Orko’s arms and right into his chest, feeling the softness of his pyjamas. Orko giggled a little. “Hey, that tickles!” he sniggered.

Pool's Shut, Tide's Out

Furaha and Orko are excited to go swimming, but when they realise the pool is shut (not due to all the things Furaha suggested), they decide to hit the beach and swim in the ocean to make up for it.

Story Plan - Someone To Watch Over Me

  1. Orko is watching Furaha play with her toys from the sofa.
  2. Orko laughs as he watches Furaha tumble about on the floor with a beach ball, her cat like instincts coming back to her.
  3. Furaha then plays with a toy fire truck, pretending it is putting out the red fire on the sofa. It turns into a full on tickle fight with Orko.
  4. Furaha leaps onto the top of the sofa to escape Orko's clutches, and begins to balance across the top of the sofa while trying to escape. Orko chases after her.
  5. Furaha races across the hallway with Orko chasing after her, straight into the kitchen, where she perches onto a table and begins washing her paws.
  6. Orko sighs and tells Furaha to get off the table, because her dirty paws would mess up the clean, pristine tablecloth. "Also, when you wash yourself with your instincts, it's really disgusting," he says.
  7. That does it! Furaha leaps off the table and into Orko's arms for a hug. Orko decides he would play with Furaha, just so that she doesn't cause any more trouble with that fire truck.
  8. The two friends return to the living room and begin playing with the ball Furaha was playing with earlier, with Orko watching and coaxing Furaha on as she tumbles around with her ball.
