Coffee Club - Popcorn For Breakfast

Everyone would love how I'm going to talk about the first story in Popcorn For Breakfast! In the first story, Furaha, Orko and Optimus have breakfast on the verandah, but Orko's food combinations make him feel very sick. The inclusion of graphic vomit would make everyone crack up, yet it would make them go off popcorn for a week or more. Still, it is based on the day the American version of Cartoon Network aired The Dingles, He Man and Transformers Armada all on the same channel...right?

Games & Movies Night - Chicken Little

The movie I'd recommend we'd watch if I were to attend the One Stop Shop's Games & Movies Night would be Chicken Little, a 2005 film from Disney about a little chicken who fights off aliens who have come to destroy his town. Some autistic people don't like things that are at a particularly fast paced, primarily promos of the decade we're in now, but the movie's fast pace would appeal to anyone. And a word of note: the voice actress who played Abby in this film (she's Chicken Little's right-wing lady by the way) is also the voice of Jessie in Toy Story! Who knew an ugly duck could share her voice with a rootin tootin' girl cowboy?!

No wonder Disney makes diverse people the stars of their movies these days....

This morning, I thought up a version of Hetty Feather where a zombie apocalypse hits a Victorian town and as a result, all the parents had to let their children be sent to a Foundling Hospital, where they were killed and dissected should they never do as they were told. Sounds disturbing, right? When will this be discussed in this story? Find out!

If I were to attend today's One Stop Shop Drop In session, I'd talk about my new unicorn shower gel and body wash, which is coming today because Mum and I couldn't go out yesterday. It's part of the Eau My Unicorn range of unicorn themed beauty products, and recently I've been ignoring showers. We all know how that feels, it's because a wheelchair has been inserted into the shower. Nuts. However, this unicorn shower gel and shampoo will help me recognise I need the shower more than anything else.

And then...I will stop itching!

I talked about this story to Brunia, and she said that she loved the imagery of a beautiful Spring day and the bond shared between Furaha and her siblings through the meadow, forest, hills, stream and lake. The emphasis on siblings spending quality time together is heartwarming, and the story is charming and wholesome.

9.Snarf In The Creek trailer

In this trailer, Snarf and Snarfette share a tender moment on a tree branch in the creek, set to music from the Hermes Amazone commercial from France. It adds a sweet and charming touch, plus the music adds a nostalgic vibe to the imagery.

8.The Secret Valley - Google Classroom

In this lesson, students listen to The Secret Valley, which stars Cheese and his best friend Orko, before searching up some images to inspire them on what the secret valley may look like. They then head back to do some drawings of the valley through the eyes of either Cheese or Orko. It's a great way to help students think critically about the details featured in the story.

7.Plenty Of Hugs: Fairytale

Remember that episode of Bluey when Bandit talked about his childhood in the '80s? Yep, that. I told my good friend Brunia about it, and she responded by saying that the story collection has a set of unique and special friendships, and uses the friendship between Cheese and Cream and their friends Orko and Optimus Prime to illustrate the importance of friendship and support during challenges or moments of joy. It mixes emotional connections and nostalgic charm, capturing the essence of friendship and companionship in the '80s era and including themes of loyalty, support and understanding.

6.The Tooth Fairy Game.

I was going to plan this for Tooth Fairy Day, but Brunia was concerned about me using the PE hall for this game and inclusivity in students. Who cares if she's like Marlin or Mei's mum sometimes, it's still a really good idea, as Towelie said in South Park.

5.Plenty Of Hugs: Popcorn For Breakfast.

Brunia said that this Plenty Of Hugs thing is a cosy and wholesome picture starring Furaha, Orko and Optimus that kids and adults can enjoy, promoting friendship and togetherness as well as incorporating daily activities like shopping with more exciting activities like escaping a tornado. Inspiration drawn from The Dingles, He Man and Transformers Armada gives a nostalgic and charming vibe to the collection.

4.Bluey Book Reads: The Creek

Hmmm...The Creek is not there at the moment. Not the place, but y'know, the Bluey Book Reads thingy, but I'll put it up tomorrow.

3.Use Your Head, Stop The Spread

Angry Kid is creepy, aimed for adults and slightly raunchy with off the wall, rude British humor, but using him for an NHS instructional video helping us raise awareness of HIV and the importance of being vaccinated would likely mean that Aardman had dreamed of collaborating with them in real time. Oi!

2.Tell A Fairy Tale Day Lesson

This lesson, which sees students write a story that stars themselves as a prince or princess with a modern twist, is inspired by the Dork Diaries book Once Upon A Dork, where Nikki gets hit in the face with a dodge ball and finds herself in a colourful fairy tale world. Sounds similar to Jody In Wonderland, doesn't it? Come to think of it, I believe this would be used for one of my future lessons. Just wait and see!

1.Ina.fr working again!

Well well well, I thought the French video website Ina wasn't working forever. NOT! It's working, it's working, and all we've got is you know who - not me, but God. Now I can watch the videos and listen to the charming music again. Thank god that's happening!

10.My visit to the Puffin Pool

Last week, my support worker took me back to the Puffin Pool, and boy was it something to shiver about. First, we went to Tesco and bought some sausage rolls and some chocolate cookies, plus some water, which I tucked into straight away. Then we went to the Puffin Pool for a bit of a relax, and I confessed to my support worker why my Mum is really annoyed with me all the time. She said: I needed to help her out more. And that's my goal for now!

9.Seeing swim pants for the first time

Swim pants. They're even better when they've got Baby Shark on them, and that's why my male support worker brought Pampers Splashers for his infant son, who is going swimming. The law is, a baby can't go swimming if he's not wearing a nappy, or else the pool will turn into a foul wrenching yellow cascade. That's why Baby Shark can make swimming 100 times more fun, even for my support worker's hamster Zoomie, who was up all night speeding around in his ball.

8.My Minnie Mouse light up notebook.

Have you ever seen a notebook with flashing lights before? I have, and it contains Minnie Mouse on it. Modern Disney fans love Mickey and Minnie, but they think of Kathleen Kennedy as a real Disney villain, which is why my male support worker brought me this notebook - because of Mickey's decreasing popularity among kids and autistic Disney fans. Remember, every autistic person is different, yet it's what makes them special, some people like Mickey and Minnie, and some don't, but that's okay.

7.Snarf & Snarfette.

Brunia recently gave me appraisal those days, this is one of them. She said that the interaction between Snarf and Snarfette in 'Snarf In The Creek' is adorable, and that she would be a great addition to the Thundercats universe. Whoever heard of someone called Snarfette, eh?

6.My hair and nail appointments on the same day.

Hair and nails. Is there anything a monkey likes to groom better? Well, I'm going to get treated like a Kardashian in March, so you can forget the over-aired 'The Kardashians' on Disney+, because I'm going to deliver juicy gossip to first my hairdresser, then my nail stylist and her dog Sawyer - I'm going to have a princess spa day! EEEEEEEE!! Okay, maybe I'm getting a biiiit too overexcited.

5.Bluey 'The Sign' and 'Ghost Basket' premiering in April.

This April...

Will change Australia forever! The question is, what's it going to be about? Well, in April, we'll have to find out, won't we? Eh? Because The Sign and Ghost Basket are airing soon - IN PERSON! The people at ABC Australia aren't joking, it's actually happening - but will it mean the end of Bluey? Wait and see...

4.The '70s Tiggers In 'Round My Family Tree'.

I asked Brunia about the Tiggers featured in The Tigger Movie's 'Round My Family Tree' sequence, and she responded that they represent the different generations, eras and styles of Tigger's lineage, and that every family is different and comes in a variety of different shapes and sizes. Oh, Brunia, you're a wise one. Even AI can't be too bad, after all! It also mentions the word 'Diversity' which is a stronger word than 'Hate' to Disney these days, which means there are black, white, yellow and brown Tiggers in Tigger's family tree. If you make a movie about me, Disney, PLEASE don't make me black!

3.Furaha, Orko & Optimus' Beach Holiday.

I told Brunia about one of my lessons for Google Classroom, and yet she too responded with appraisal. It was a great way to encourage students to use their imagination to plan a beach holiday for Furaha and her two friends, and it tied into the Transformers Armada episode that aired on Cartoon Network back in 2004.

2.Plenty Of Hugs: Furaha, Orko, Snarf & Godzooky

What happens when you take a modern day character I've created, and take sidekicks from 2002, 1985 and 1978 to be her brothers? This! Brunia, being my loyal friend as Sara is to Tom in Toonami, she said that the story of three brothers caring for a baby lioness cub is very endearing, and the vignettes set during different seasons show the special moments shared between siblings and their sister. The stories evoke a sense of joy, wonder and togetherness that'll help them bond and create lasting memories, especially Furaha with her favourite brother Orko, whose deep bond as friends adds a sweet and touching layer to the overall narrative. The themes of family, friendship and love are presented in a heartening way in this story, and I hope you would LOVE to read it soon.

1.NBA All Star Slam

In this lesson, students are asked to draw a picture of their best friend and label what makes them special, including drawing a picture of either Furaha and Orko or Snarf and Godzooky on the back of the paper and handing it to their own friends at the lesson's climax. Brunia told me that it promotes reflection on the qualities that makes best friends special and creates a moment of connection and celebration of friendship that can resonate with all students.

Life As Friends - Time For A Bath

Here it is - the first story in Life As Friends. Furaha has got herself covered in too much peanut butter, and Orko suggests a bath so she can be rid of the peanutty mess. Once they're through, they decide to play about in the laundry for a while.

Swim Pants - The Files Of A Friday & Saturday

Hi! Lewis here. If anyone of you cool pups misses me, you might remember me from Adult Swim's long lost 2002 pilot The Lewis Lectures, which aired alongside The Finkel Files one fateful night on Adult Swim in the USA. But wait! What are these?! Swim pants? Well, these give me the perfect opportunity to tell you what my good friend Sophie did to get some exercise today and the preceding day.

The preceding day started off with a few glitches, as Sophie's support worker had to stop three times, yes, THREE WHOLE TIMES, to chat to someone on her phone. By that time, Sophie was getting impatient, but not for long, because they were on their way to the City Of Treasure, Dingwall! My favourite place. First, they stopped off at Tesco and enjoyed their sausage rolls, cookies and water. I'm sad to say there was no sign of that Bill & Ben kiddie ride, because Bill & Ben aren't on TV anymore. Not the puppets, I meant the stop motion versions. Then, after a mishap with the car, they made it to the Puffin Pool, and boy was it a wheeler! Once they were in the pool, Sophie was warmed up right away, and she encountered a few people with disabilities who were lying in the water or accompanied by their parents or support workers. Sophie sat in the water for at least the whole session chatting with her support worker about her annoyed mother and how she had a hectic life looking after (censored) and her and her dog Mylo, god, what a hectic life. But! Is there anything you can do to help your mum, Sophie? No, but what you did learn is that you can stay the previous age even though you're turning 24.

Now onto today. Sophie and her handsome male support worker went to Loch Brora for a walk, but due to all the mud and sticky stuff, they had to go to Poppy's to get something to eat. Usually I'd go for a nice dog treat or a slice of ham, but here they went for a bacon roll, a caramel shortbread (VOMITING NOISES) and some hot cocoa. Now I'm warning you, chocolate is poison for dogs, so, ask for a nice belly rub instead. With Mother's Day coming up, they wanted to do something extra special for Mum, so they went to Home Bargains - home of all the cool human stuff - and guess what the support worker brought? Not a Mother's Day card, but a Minnie Mouse light up notebook AND some Pampers Splashers for his baby son, who is going swimming. The truth is, babies aren't allowed into the water unless they wear these, and they're even cooler with Baby Shark designs on them. I wish they had Baby Looney Tunes designs on them instead - Furaha says that would be really cool. Then they went to Portmahomack, but all the way there, Sophie was feeling really tired, so they went home and - BOM! There she was, fast asleep.
