CBBC Drawing Activity - 8.5.13

Day 2 of our CBBC/CBeebies drawing activities is all about the premiere of another one of my favourite CBBC shows, Strange Hill High! So grab your pencils and markers and get drawing!

1.Grab a piece of paper - any will do.

2.Draw a picture of Mitchell with a golden crown on his head, sitting on a throne, with his friends Becky and Templeton beside him.

3.Write somewhere on the page, 'Being at Strange Hill is king!'.

4.Put it up on your bedroom wall or fridge for everyone to see!

The Great Exchange

Today, I had an amazing time with Sally, even if it means handing my folder and Bluey activities to her out of kindness. Check it out!

First, while we're out collecting food for our picnic, Sally got me a Bluey magazine - finally! It had the story of Bob Bilby, a Bluey bingo game, a cut-and-stick activity featuring Chattermax and Polly Puppy, and images from the episodes 'Circus' and 'Duck Cake', which are yet to air on CBeebies. I'll post an image of the real actual duck cake and a link to the PETA Kids comic 'A Tiger's Life' if they do!

Next we went to visit the alpacas near the egg shop. Sally explained the brown alpaca was like a child, and there was a second brown one which died years ago. It was here that I explained to Sally that I finally decided to change the characters in my I.B.F.Fs and Me, You, And...stories, and she was both shocked and impressed!

While having our food at Portmahomack, I showed Sally my Bluey activity sheets. She said that she would take them over to Fiona in the library so the primary can have fun learning and playing with Bluey and Scream Street. While talking about I.B.F.Fs with Sally, I mentioned something about Sophie's mum working for the MPP (Monster Protection Programme) and Sally said it was similar to a film she watched with one of her group, Hotel Transylvania (pictured above), about monsters who live in a hotel away from the danger of humans. I got confused when we started talking about Zura, so we just went on our way.

Next we had a hot chocolate from Tomach. However, mine had marshmallows so Sally had to scrape them out. As a result of wiping my cup with a baby wipe, it smelled of saliva! I enjoyed my drink anyway. Don't gross out, I really did.

I was needing a wee all the way home, so I went to the toilet and washed my hands twice, then wrote Sally a note stating that she must take my Bluey primary activities to Fiona in the library, and she must tell Trish about all of this and my new original story ideas because she's taking her group to Brora tomorrow.

I hope she does...if she does, I'll post a picture of Bluey!

CBBC Drawing Activity - 21.10.15

In celebration of CBBC and CBeebies' 20th anniversary, I've set up a series of drawing activities inspired by this and influenced by CBBC's latest show, Britain's Best Young Artist. This time, it's all about Fan Art! Starting with the premiere of my favourite CBBC show, Scream Street!

1.Check out this schedule for inspiration, and maybe even watch some of the shows too.

2.Draw an inspirational work of art inspired by Luke, Resus and Cleo battling the monster vacuum cleaner in 'Scream Clean'.

3.Write somewhere on the page, 'The Best Day Of Our Lives'.

4.On the back, do another piece of art inspired by another show that aired on that day. Here are a few examples to get you started:

• A gothic Nowhere Boys picture inspired by Simone Martini.
• A mixed media picture of Danger Mouse using things found in nature. Go outside into your garden and find flowers, leaves and any other thing, then, using glue, stick them to the picture and draw Danger Mouse in the middle.
• A funky picture of Merl, Pickle and Gull dancing.

5.Hang it on your fridge or bedroom wall for everyone to see!

It's breakfast time in the world of I.B.F.Fs! Inspired by Frank's idea of a real breakfast, Sophie and her monster siblings decide to use everyday breakfast items to create a 'proper brunch' for their parents to enjoy. Boy, would they be in for a taste sensation!

Bluey Recaps has released a new recap on the Bluey episode 'Omelette' today, so I've thought up a new I.B.F.Fs story collection - 'Breakfast'. I named it from 'Omelette' to 'Breakfast' to avoid copyright issues with Ludo. I'll also make stories based on other Bluey episodes that require perseverance - Piggyback, Handstand and Squash. I'm not naming each story this way, but I am making storylines based on what these episodes remind me of - a walk in nature, birthday parties and time with Duane, Marlin and Nick. I'll release the first story tomorrow, as a thank you to Bluey Recaps for all they've done!

Staying Home

This book helped me when Lee-Anne and Siobhan didn't take me out due to the car being fixed. It'll help you with daily life when you too are stuck at home during the Coronavirus pandemic, because the pandemic is getting worse...but Scotland's Covid restrictions are easing, so it's no big deal. I have a very special announcement to make about my stories...

I've finally decided to change my characters due to copyright issues! Now, for I.B.F.Fs, you'll expect to see Luke, Resus and Cleo as Fang, Zura and Luna. Furaha will remain the same in Me, You, And..., and so will her family, but characters from properties like Transformers, Power Rangers and Care Bears have to be altered and given different names, and the settings will have to be changed too. As for my beloved Kipper, he's now a German Shepard named Rowan, and his best friend Tiger is now a dalmatian named Spot, after the main character from the Disney animated TV series Teacher's Pet. In place of Pig and Arnold, there are two new characters, two lions named Lionel (named after the lion cub in PBS' Between The Lions) and his 3-year-old mutual cousin Leo. So now, every Tuesday and Wednesday, I'll bring you a chapter a week of Camping: An I.B.F.Fs Friendship Tale and the first I.B.F.Fs anthology book, I.B.F.Fs: The Magic Watch.
