Dear Chilli,
Do you remember the time when you, Coco’s mum, Indy’s mum, Honey’s mum, Mackenzie’s mum, The Terriers’ mum and Snickers’ mum set up a book club for the days when your kids are in school?
I do. You were in the middle of talking about War & Peace, a famous book by a famous author, when Jeff Tracy, the father of the five pilots of the Thunderbirds, came to join you. You were furious, and with every time Jeff got into the group, you all just told him to go away. When Jeff got back to Tracy Island, he got into a fierce argument with Tin Tin about why it’s girls that should run the book club and not men. Upon settling into his room for the night, he looks at a photo of the younger Tracy brothers with their mother, who sadly passed away. In a dream, Jeff was visited by your mum, you know, the one who taught you to never give up drawing, which in turn lead you to draw a horse during the time you and your family were drawing a dragon fantasy story. She told Jeff that although the one he has loved has passed away, it’s easy for him to redeem himself and start his own club with the dads. Thus, the moment he woke up, he rallied Bandit, Stripe, Rad and Lucky’s Dad to set up their own reading club, sharing their experiences of fathering their own children, while the mums share their favourite books over coffee and biscuits. Good times, eh?
Love,
Sybil
