Sorry, But We're Out Of Slushies

OH SPLOOF! Blogger won't allow me to put pictures on my blog today! But what I can tell you is that I had a great time out with H today in the town far off from here. Let me tell you guys all about it:

So we began our day by heading to ASDA and getting some food for our picnic. While I was listening to Rhian Benson in the car, I saw an enormous man with a beard coming out of the supermarket carrying two bottles of Coke, with his tummy hanging out. Maybe that what makes the Teletubbies have large TV tummies. I dunno. Anyway, while H was having a cigar in the car park, I asked her what her kids' favourite yogurt flavours were. The answer? Vanilla and toffee. Helen's son L loved toffee and caramel, and he loves caramel wafers - the sort of food that Tom Gates loves. Still, the songs he performs in the series on Sky Kids are AWESOME! Yet absurdly surreal.

Then it was onto far off, where first we went to the newsagent's. The slush machines and the milkshake machines were there too, but one of the red slushie machines wasn't working. It was there that I found one was out of order because all the ice had melted. It was fun taking pictures of all the absurd food finds around the shop, including Pop Tarts, Fanta Zero, Mattesons Smoked Pork Sausages, Cheesestrings and of course Nickelodeon powdered bubblegum with Spongebob, Dora and Paw Patrol! *sigh* I miss old Nick Jr, even if the shorts do tend to be a bit annoying at times...eeeeexcept for the Once Upon A Bedtime shorts about Bud the dog and the Wish Biscuits. I wish I could see the story about Bud & The Cakes again, then I could hear the posh giraffe whining like a 4 year old aristocrat.

Then it was onto the bakery, where H had to get herself a sandwich. Here, I found that it wasn't just my favourite chocolate muffins which were there, there were also some strange apple shaped marzipan cakes and some horrifically chocolatey biscuits. To make matters worse...wait for it....GASP! H's kids' favourite sweet shop is closed! They'll be so disappointed! Luckily, their next favourite sweet shop has milkshakes, so no worries, mate.

Then it was onto the cake shop, where there were slushie machines there. Once again, I couldn't resist running in and taking pictures of all the CRISPS! SWEETS! CHOCOLATE! SLUSHIES! ICE CREAM! HELLO KITTY CONES! And yet, the town was always full of diverse people. When we went to our picnic spot, we saw some people fishing. It was nice fishing weather, and the fish were jumping high as always. There were blackberries in the bushes, and I saw a robin perched on one of the tall things.

I might want to say we went to Dornoch, but the experience was too lame for some. Still, I love Invergordon! Cool shops! Slushie machines! Diverse people roaming the streets! Because no matter what Disney+ tells us about race and justice through its new should-be-called 'fairy tales', I think we can all agree that we can learn it somewhere else....but NOT FROM THE BBC! Geez.
