It's Just Budgie Baby, Plus More

Do-do-do-do-do-do-do-dooooo-do! Doooo-do!

That's the Budgie Baby Song, and guess who I went out with today? That's right, Mrs L. First, we went to the Co-Op and got lunch. Whilst I had my picnic I imagined my sausage rolls were cheddar cheese pies, and the pork pies had jelly in them, but they were still worth it. Later on, we went to Mrs L's hometown and we had a big long walk. We spotted lots of sights along the way, including: some boats, a large Highland coo statue, electric car cables, things in an antique shop window including china dogs and a Lurpak toast dish featuring original mascot Douglas, Jellycat dolls, the fish and chip shop, models of boats in the hotel window, the ice house (which I found very creepy because it was so dark and cold and echoey) and finally the train station, where I totally collapsed. Mrs L had made me walk too far! Quickly I phoned Mum, and told her what had happened. It was an emergency!

Luckily, we went back to the car and, as I drank my Coke, I imagined a Coke advert where I imagine my walk is a trek through the desert, until I spot the car ahead and hydrate myself with a can of Coke. Then in slow motion, I whip my short hair back and forth, causing sweat to go all over Mrs L. Sounds hilarious if you look at ads that are on TV these days - hmmmmm, are they ALL influenced by Tiktok or are they ALL made with AI?

Anyway, here comes the best bit. Going to Mrs L's house and meeting her animals! Her house was far away from where Mrs C lived, so it was no surprise it was next to a farm. Inside her house was a bunch of new friends waiting for me: Mrs L's brother Mr A from London, her cats Inky and Isla (Treacle was on the stairs, although he looked like a black fluffy ball with eyes) and of course, Budgie Baby. Budgie Baby took a good liking to me, and he was extremely hilarious - Mrs L kept making funny noises at him and encouraging him to sing, and when he finally squeaked, I
JUMPED!
Anyway, Budgie Baby took a liking to me, Mrs L sung the song I heard about, and Budgie Baby loved me so much he flew around the room doing a performance for me. He even went and had a wish-wash in his little bathtub. When we went back into the kitchen for something to drink, we managed to catch a glimpse of Treacle on the stairs, and Isla was standing on the table feeling friendly and nosy. She was getting fur everywhere, and Mrs L said she liked it when you talk to her. Mr A also introduced me to the yogurt - peach, strawberry and vanilla - that they kept in the fridge, although I preferred ice cream without bits. I told them all about the terrible moment from this morning about how Mum was V-annoyed with me because of my whining over no internet, but considering Frozen and the earworm 'Let It Go', Mrs L and her brother encouraged me to let it all go...

...which I did! Immediately when I saw Budgie Baby climb onto the pole with his feet, scratch his itchy feet with his beak, drop berries onto the floor and fly to the windowsil, any sign of Budgie Baby almost cheers me up. After a heartwarming farewell, we went back to Dornoch town, where we went to the chemist to pick up-

*Test pattern*

Anyway, these new friends inspired me to make a batch of brand new Me, You, And...characters, plus a story called 'The Family Visit' - Furaha's Norfolk uncle Inky, her grandfather Treacle, her Canadian aunt Isla and her hornbill roommate Budgie Baby, who I described was similar to Zazu but white, and Kiburi's childhood friend from London, Alex. In my head as we were going back to the chemist's, I was thinking that Max Casella, John Thomson, Paul Chequer and Patrick Stewart would lend their voices to Budgie Baby, Inky, Alex and Treacle.

I wish, oh I wish I could see them again...that is, if, THE MYLO, doesn't mind....
