One bright, sunny day, Furaha, Orko and Optimus were lying in the shade of the willow tree which lowered itself right over the water. The sun was so hot it could melt a thousand ice creams. The water looked cool and inviting though. The whole scene looked pretty quiet and welcoming, as it normally does when Furaha hangs out with Orko and Optimus. As Furaha lay in the grass, a million little thoughts dancing like ballerinas on the stage of her mind, something came in. It was as if another dancer wearing a leopard onesie strutted onto the stage, and the audience of emotions was laughing and wildly applauding its arrival.
“Hey Optimus,” said Furaha at last, “Do you ever get the feeling that we just aren’t complete without a….er….someone to keep us company?” “Who cares, Furaha?” said Optimus with a snort, “I think we’re better off as we are.” “No, I’m serious,” said Furaha, “Someone else may be coming to join us. It’s not like there’s a new character in the TV show that is called ‘life’.” “You mean the nature documentary?” asked Orko. “No! No no no, I meant someone else entering our life. The thing is, I’ve been having these strange dreams for a while now, and I’m certain someone is coming to join us.” “Someone?” asked Optimus, “Come on. What more could we want? We’re just fine by ourselves here!”
Furaha just smiled and went along with accepting that fact all by herself, but that question still roamed the outback of her mind like a wandering kangaroo looking for a piece of imagination to fit his puzzle: who is this strange someone roaming my head that’s looking for somewhere to live?
