The Lullaby Picnic - Part 1

One night, toddler Furaha was tossing and turning in her sleep, then she woke up with a cry, which suddenly woke hr big brother Orko, who was sleeping right next to her. “Er…what is i-oh no, Furaha! What happened?” Furaha let out some little toddlerish mumbles. “Oh, you can’t sleep. We all have ways of trying to go to sleep sometimes, but I have another one of my awesome magical ways of helping people go to sleep. Wanna see it?” “Yay!” cheered toddler Furaha, clapping her paws.

Orko cracked his knuckles and used his magic to produce three bags, a picnic hamper and a thermos. “Oooooh!” gasped toddler Furaha. “Fancy, huh? Do you know why I have all this luggage with me?” Furaha shook her head. “It’s because we’re going to Honeydew Meadow, the quietest and most secluded place on Earth. Furaha let out a sigh of contentment. She loved quiet places, and so did Orko. “And with a little magic, I can transport us there.”

He lead his sister towards the luggage and wiggled his fingers in the air, reciting some magic words:

“Once this magic spell is through,

Take us both to Honeydew!”

Just as if nothing seemed to happen, Orko’s magic really did work - in a flash, he, Furaha and the luggage were transported to a magical and enchanted meadow, with the moon and stars shining down on them like a warm and tender smile. “Oooooohhh…” gasped toddler Furaha. “Do you like it? It’s a really beautiful place. No one ever goes there quite often…but now we do, and it’s just you and me. Come on, I’ll carry two bags and the picnic hamper. You carry one bag and the thermos. Be careful, it’s still hot.”
