Weary Joe

It was after Joe's battle with Coletti, and Joe was lying wearily in the hospital. His father, Professor McClaine, sat beside him, his glasses misty with his tears. "Oh Joe, please wake up. I promise to never be afraid of you anymore. You don't have to go to school due to your agent skills...right?"

Joe slowly opened his eyes, then his mouth. "Dad....I've no need to go there. The other kids bully me for my super intelligence as it is. But you? Professor McClaine was stunned. Never in his life had he heard Joe utter such dramatic words. He hid his face in his hands and began to cry. The Night Before The Church Wander

We wandered the church, it was dull and grey

And there was no sign of the light of day

For off in the distance, we could hear voices singing

Almost immediately, the church bells were ringing

“It’s angels from Heaven,” Penelope told me.

At last, my support worker returned with the food. She ordered me to pull down the middle bit of the seat so I could put my drink in it.
