Dear journal,
I went for a walk by myself in town near the beach today. It was crowded with people - black, white, yellow and brown - and all the grownups were sunbathing on the beach, while the children were playing in the sea or building sandcastles.
I went to order myself a Subway cheese and ham sandwich, and that was all I could afford to do before I saw Captain Scarlet sitting alone, feeling very sad. I went to comfort him, and he told me it was his last day on Talking Pictures TV. He couldn't bare to see him and his friends slowly go away from the channel, as they have loved it so much and Captain Scarlet was to leave next weekend, leaving room for Supercar and Supercar only in its lineup.
I felt sorry for him, so I offered him half of my sandwich. Immediately, we tucked in, and I could tell that Captain Scarlet cheered up on the double, because he showed his teeth - something any Supermarionation puppet can rarely do - which had cheese and ham in between each gap. I began laughing so hard. Captain Scarlet began laughing too, swallowing every morsel of cheese and ham stuck between his teeth in between every chuckle and giggle. In fact, we were laughing so hard we fell onto the sand and our laughter faded as we shared a hug. Captain Scarlet always knows I'm here to cheer him up if sad events haunt him...or so the Mysterons think.
